It's already at the top, together with some other strong currencies. The market volume has for ETH has been growing, and it is going up.
In my opinion its a yes, as we can see that price of ethereum right now so going higher and higher. I think maybe next year it will gain more amount in all markets and lead to cryptocurrencies.
I don't think it will overpower btc, but its probably going to be the best altcoin outthere.
as i see many ICO on this forum use Ethereum, maybe we can say the most. but if leading the market i will say it's not easy to get the title. cause a lot of factors and something unexpected can be happen. Only time can show it, just wait what will happen
ETH will be the big in market. Their market now grows big everyday.
I think for me, ethereum until up to this days would not easily take place the currency market because bitcoin is still in demand and maybe in a year time will never know what will happen in the future but let's be open minded in the near future.

Maybe yes maybe not, everything could happen. Until now ethereum still become the best alternative income and payment after bitcoin. I see every day more people " hunting " ethereum and trade/ invest on the real market, meaning people trust get higher. Invest/ trade with ethereum still promising and it worth to be done, but lead cryptocurrecy market need more time, years maybe because bitcoin always lead. Good luck with you.
I like ethereum. I made investment on ethereum when it was around $150. Now it is going up and up. It is the best altcoin and many people accept that. After crypto kitties game we saw that it made a mass effect on ethereum blockchain. But it is still good. I dont believe that ethereum will lead to market. Because Bitcoin is the king and it will never change. It is the first cryptocurrency and people try to increace their bitcoin quantity.
I don't think so ethereum will lead the cryptocurrency market,but remain second after bitcoin.Most icos based on ethereum token that is why ethereum demand is high.
While Ethereum is definitely a strong contender for the number 1 spot, I think it will be a very, very VERY long time until we see Bitcoin knocked from the lead.
Ethereum is certainly a better technology but Bitcoin is king, and right now and for the forseeable future, nothing else is going to come close to Bitcoin's value (as determined by the market).
Ethereum has some strong competitors too, so I think it more likely that another crypto will soon overtake Ethereum for the No.2 spot.

NOt sure that is possible.For it to lead the cryptomarket there should be an increase in utility but due to the current issues surrounding its platform i think newer platforms will come compete and probably topple ethereum from its current spot.Take MIOTA for exaple or NEO,these are big time competitors.
Ethereum is a unique bloccano. On the platform and created unique designs. He certainly is a leader!

The leader is bicoin. ETH will be top ten crypto in the market. Most ICOs are based on eth token. That;s why eth demand is high. The price of eth now is 700USD. In 2018 we expect that the price will be 1000 to 1500 USD. I think holding eth will be profitable. 
ETHEREUM is for now a primary force in the alcoin world and with some big erc20 tokens now taking the forefront like PPT for example which have big marketcaps and strong communities, no doubt in my mind that ETHEREUM wlll be a dominant player in this field. It is one of the go to places for ICOS to park their tokens and grow capital for their businesses, so it will be popular along business minded people and groups.

Ethereum is one of the greatest altcoin ever lived but still I don't think Ethereum will take the lead on the bitcoin which is the first ever cryptocurrency of the world. Usually, a lot of people are asking the same question. Some say it will and some say it won't, and though bitcoin came first than ethereum, no one still knows what will happen. So don't easily believe if I say Ethereum won't take the lead.
i want to say yes, because if we see to bitcoin its become an investment like gold or stock, you cant use it as daily payment like before, because the price increase make transaction fee higher too. So here ethereum take a chance cheap fee, fast transaction and still much more thing to devlop
