The $500 target for the Monero is very less but I think this must reach in the 2019. But, if you have this coin in your wallet then time to hold for the longer needs to the next bull coming. This time the coin is heavily traded in the market and touched more than of 2 lakh BTC in volume and ranked 13 in the Coinmarketcap. This coin is also mineable and a global currency like the Bitcoin. So, the upside potential is very possible.
I think that in 2019 we will not see the price of $ 500. But when bitcoin returns to the level of $ 18000-20000, it is very possible that Monero will cost about $ 500.
If it immediately happens, in the near future. If the bitcoin is not capable of growing as tall as it I think it will be difficult to reach a price of as high as it is. We have to look at the market, because the market does not yet have the ability to grow as tall as that one. 
Not only the price of Monero, but also other altcoins and bitcoin all moved slowly, in the first quarter and might be in the rest months of 2019.
Everybody here is speculating but in reality, the price is moving very slowly I don't see any coin getting pumped 10 times this year, the last quarter of this year could be the start of the pump and every price speculation will happen next year, and Monero deserves the $500 price or even more.

You have point in your opinion we are here in cryptoworld so its possible to reach that amount but all this time we dont see any price action increase if you are true monero holder you will still positive that amount will reach, but based on what I see its too far away from the real price.

if that is the case the problem is that all the coins under bitcoin depend on the price of bitcoin and when the price of bitcoin rises the price of an altcoin like monero will definitely rise as well because the price of bitcoin has become the benchmark price for the coins below

Monero are good currency. But it will not go $500 in this year. Because the market are not too jump in that time. I think it will hit $200 in this year.
whether it can be achieved or not, I don't want to speculate against the market. because of predictions that have a lot of people do also not proven fact. I'd rather enjoy the movement of markets, than on speculating.

Developers are just partial components that can boost Monero to $500.There are so many other components, that Monero developers can not control, such as bitcoin price, general growth of crypto ecosystem, and FOMO of crypto enthusiasts.
No one knows those three factors move in which directions in the next months, or next years.
Well who knows, the crypto space is funny Attimes, you get what you least expect... Monero is a good coin, getting to $500 depends on the dev, how they intend to push the project and make it happen, many have tried to understand how it works, many claim they know it, but in my opinion crypto is unpredictable... Reaching $500 is a good one, but my conclusion for Monero this 2019 is a 50/50 to reaching that point.

No, if BTC reaches something around $12000 I think chances are good to see XMR go back to $500.
Did not think it will over $500 in 2019, but can say it can reach $500 or more 2020 as it will take time to recover crypto to settle from the current crash, and when BTC will be stable around $12000 to $15000 range, then we can expect, Monero will reach that target.

you're right, a lot of new assets give surprises in the market. they come with the support of the market and the community. It would be nice to their growth in the future. Maybe, i see their developement in the last couple years, and maybe, maybe it really will happens. i heard they will also have some good partnership with banking institutions, it will really boost their market value if it's really happens in the next couple months
i know Monero for along time, it has always been a crypto with full advanced technologies to keep the user privacy at the highest privacy, so it has become famous and got more attentions from investors so it has potential to rise, but if we think it can goes from 53$ to 500$ in this year, it is quite impossible, i only hope it can reach 200$ at the end of this year.
Monero will eventually reach that price, but not this year maybe two more years of wait is possible, the most that Monero can reach is $200 but that is if the bull run starts today, all the coins prices are moving to slow, which is expected because of the market uncertainty.
Moreno or XMR price now is USD 50 and maybe impossible moreno could raised to higher price about USD 500 because its hard to get higher price, maybe could raised about USD 100 and its more possibility for morenoe to get higher price.
Anything can happen, Monero can reach $ 500 this year if the price of bitcoin reaches $ 20,000, and I who also have Monero certainly hope that the market will soon recover and improve so we can get big profits.
