There is possibility that people will lose interest, but if there will be critical mass of people who use cryptocurrency, people won't have any choice but to join in.
people will lose interest if Bitcoin stop generaing profit or income for their holders, in December - January Bitcoin was a good asset which brought money now everybody know the market situation.
As long as bitcoin is on top level of the market index ,I think people will still be interesting in this kind of crypto because they think of something bigger for their money in investing ,so they to interest for bitcoin first other than any altcoins in the market.

And each crypto currency exists by itself as a new kind of digital money. However, most coins when trading in the market have a price pair of binding to bitcoin or ethereum, less often to other coins. The binding to bitcoin is due to the fact that bitcoin was simply the first crypto currency and remains the most famous crypto currency among all. However, if necessary, this binding can be made to other crypto-currencies, if bitcoin for some reason disappears. Therefore, such a disappearance will not have a big impact on other altcoys.

I think the blockchain technology is definitely the future. It will change the world soon. 
most likely if bitcoin dies, altcoin which will replace bitcoin position is Ethereum. why I say so
because so far, only Ethereum is able to dominate Bitcoin, when bitcoin up Ethereum will go up.

If bitcoin for some reason suddenly disappears, then I do not think that it will be a catastrophe for other crypto currency. Each type of crypto currency is able to exist independently of other crypto-currencies. The only thing that connects them with bitcoin is the binding to the bitcoin price on the exchange, exchangers, etc. However, such an artificial binding can be reoriented to other coins, for example, ethereum, litecoin, bitcoin cash or other well-deserved digital coins.
In my opinion, Bitcoin won't die as long as people are earning from it. Even if it dies there are many altcoins which will survive. I think probably be Ethereum, Ripple, Lite mainly and also many other...
I don't think Bitcoin will die. In any case, the interest in the cryptocurrency will live for a long time. It's just getting started.
I know people who sold every bitcoins of them because they are afraid to loose their money and they dont trust the system anymore.
I think the losing interest of investors are temporary and it will come back soon in the next month.

Like when we first time heard bitcoin, we doubted it and hesitate to do but we are here now already earning from it and believing that it can recover. People might lose interest because of negative feedback that they could here but when they become aware of how this help individuals who are positively accepting and aware to the use of bitcoin, they will willingly accept it with no doubt.
I do not think they lost interest, I just do not understand what's going on.
I thibk if bitcoin died. Other crypto currency will also died thats what my friend said. Because bitcoin is leading the market. But i think it wont be happen maybe bitcoin will just having correction but dying naah!! I will never believe it

Unfortunately yes. There is a great possibility that it might happen especially during this time that other people are in doubt with bitcoin. They have been carried away by the fake news or whatever negative comments that they are reading about bitcoin.
