I'm not sure that XRP will be able to reach a price of $5 in the near future, I think that in order for Ripple to reach $5, the price of Bitcoin needs to rise at least to $30,000, or maybe even higher.
totally agree that reaching $ 5 for XRP is not easy, it requires a very unusual surprise, as you say that it may be necessary for Bitcoin to first reach $ 30K, to achieve this. if I look at it from the side when XRP has a chance to increase it, XRP cannot break through to $ 4. so there is no reference that can be sure XRP can touch $ 5.

Ripple broke higher earlier on in the session and broke the black trendline on the hourly chart below. Now the rest resistance point up is the blue line at 0.1960, beyond that, the psychological 0.20 level is next up.

when I knew that this thread existed, I believe that whoever created this thread must be very disappointed with the performance of the riple because the Ripple cannot even reach $1. I remember years ago when I saw on tradeview many people doing price predictions, these people from tradeviews predicted that the price of Ripple would reach more than $3. I personally am not sure if the ripple will be able to penetrate at the price of $5 this year, although the ripple has been widely adopted by several financial institutions, but still it does not have a major influence on the increase in ripple prices in the market, especially now that the ripple has price resistance which is quite difficult to be broken at the price level of $0.19- $0.20, although the price barrier of $0.20 can be broken later, but if we look at the current ripple price chart, the possibility of price increases that occur is very small.
Just wait more months or until the end of thid year because 5 dollars is really possible to the XRP. \
We should all wait, but 5 dollars by the end of the year is not likely to happen though not impossible. Many people use this coin for their transaction because of the fees so that's why many investor will going to buy more this coin better to have more patient because if a person have that characteristics will get a good outcome in the end and that is a massive profit.
What I am seeing, XRP is good payment method but as an investment, I have other preference because with XRPs huge volume, it could easily be dump and I don't like to see that, I wan to see a continues progress of this project.

But the maximum supply does mean that this won't continue forever. Indeed they halted their monthly dumping from escrow release, 'programmatic sales' back in January,Strong use case is also not backed by ACTUAL use case. Do you know any XRP user? AFAIK the primary use case is international banking, rather than individual consumers. I do take your point, but banks have been testing the waters with XRP for years now. As for actual widespread real-world everyday use, no, we are still too early on the journey - but this is true for every coin. Even bitcoin remains niche in terms of day-to-day use by ordinary people, it is currently seen more as a high risk long-term investment. 
As for $5, yes, I do think XRP will hit that price. May take a while, but it should get there. There is after all a guaranteed maximum supply, and XRP gets burned all the time. And this is coupled with an ultra-strong use-case.

I don't want to say that $5 for this coin will never happen because as long as it is alive and the team behind this is still active, there's always a chance. If XRP team will collaborate with more and more companies worldwide and be visible in the market, slowly they might increase its price. Just take a look at some of their few partnerships. Though ripple is a centralized one, and they have the capability to manipulate it in the market, doing so will not be a sustainable approach for their platform. Better develop their platform in a sustainable way like partnering with companies, even small ones.
