It will be very difficult for Ripple to reach the old ATH level and certainly reach $5 will never happen in this coin. In fact, this coin only has a decrease and not much hope when you choose to invest so think carefully because it can certainly make you more disappointed. I think that as crypto develops and expands into the mainstream, it is inevitable that it will encounter government response in the form of legislation. Crypto has to either fit into an existing legal framework, or else have one devised for it. It is not possible for something that contains so much money to remain unregulated and be acceptable to governments.

Ripple with XRP obviously has that degree of mainstream integration already, and in an important sense is ahead of most (all?) other coins. This is one reason that the price is struggling - the court cases are taking a toll and dampening expectations. I do think Ripple and XRP will come out of the controversy - after all, some of the most egregious charges have already been thrown all, and Ripple have been working with officials for a long time, it's not like this is some new upstart company bursting up from nowhere.

As for $5, yes, I do think XRP will hit that price. May take a while, but it should get there. There is after all a guaranteed maximum supply, and XRP gets burned all the time. And this is coupled with an ultra-strong use-case.

So it is still unknown when Bitcoin can grow about $40,000, and when in 2018 Bitcoin was worth $20k, then XRP grew to about $3.5. If Bitcoin grows to $20k now, I think XRP can grow to about $1-2$.

That's too long to wait, it was able to reach almost $5 in the past from below $1 in just less than a year so we don't need 2 decades for that.

Who says this is not the right investment decision? Moneygram and Ripple partnerships show the clear intention of global money transfers through the XRP blockchain. The growing network will lead to higher prices and early investors will be a happy post-bear market. If the OP has bought XRP at $2, waiting for the next market cycle will be the efficient solution for the obvious situation.

I highly doubt that your very long time can be understood as forever or never because even if you have a lot of appreciation for ripple, combined with a lot of articles honoring its potential, I also can't believe that ripple will reach $5 in a future you might think. The nature of ripple is so much stable, we can see that its value often does not have big fluctuations like other altcoins, which is why it can maintain its position on CMC, the supply volume is also too big and the developer doesn't seem to intend to burn or reduce the number, pumping a little is possible but pumping a lot will probably be difficult in terms of capitalization

I do not know when I think the price of risk will reach $ 3 to $ 4. But my advice for you, wait for the price of the ripples will reach a price that is appropriate for you. @BayAreaCoins. Agreed. However it is the business people behind this centralized project that made it a marketing scam. I reckon the developers of Ripple should hardfork to continue its development as a real open source project.

I have the same thoughts with you and certainly XRP will not be able to reach $5 at this time because this is a price too high compared to reality. However, if the market enters an uptrend phase, anything can happen, but first of all XRP needs to reach the old ATH soon as this is the minimum condition to regain investor confidence. Personally, I'm still waiting for that to happen or will never be seen because XRP is not my favorite investment option.
