Usually altcoins will follow the price increase if bitcoin increases but not all altcoins follow it for example if bitcoin reaches a new all-time high then usually altcoins like ethereum and bnb experience the same thing creating a new all-time high if other altcoins that have many kinds of movements have not been studied and some are in the opposite direction, that's what always happens in the crypto market which is difficult to predict

Cheers!
What sort of pool of alt coins are you taking your survey from?  A small subset of major alts, or a more broader sweep of coins and tokens?  If I'm not mistaken there is an impending halving of Litecoin and XMR had a judgement in its favor so these coins might be causing investors to reevaluate their positions (i.e. HODL this month and see how the cards fall).

depend how you see it, in usd or btc, alt tend to getting less in btc value when btc goes up, mostly stay or a bit climbing when btc goes up, money come to btc first
after btc hit peak then money moving to alt which mean if alt moving really alot, its expecting btc hits peak ath, whale pumped alt for exit point

sometimes bitcoin and altcoins move together, but you can be sure that if bitcoin has increased then altcoins will also experience it, what is usually done by speculators is when bitcoin is bullish and is considered to have reached its climax, they will look for potential altcoins to buy and have not experienced a significant increase, so they still have hope of getting profits according to their targets. things like that often happen during the bullish season and prove to be profitable
Generally, in a bullish market, all the cryptocurrencies tend to go up along with Bitcoin, they don't go down or stay stable when Bitcoin is going up, altcoins are following the trend, and as soon as Bitcoin stops going up, altcoins also stop right there, and then move again when Bitcoin does. Sometimes, when the market is in normal conditions, like no bull no bear, some altcoins tend to move in the opposite direction from Bitcoin, if it's going up, they go down, and vice versa.

But this doesn't happen very often and not with every single cryptocurrency, it only happens sometimes with only a single or a couple of cryptocurrencies, and it doesn't continue for long too, it starts doing this now and it might go up and come down a bunch of times, and then it starts following Bitcoin again.
Depends on the project really. I know that the market in general goes up, but during bull markets there are a lot of projects that scam people and rug pull as well. Their aim is to get rich and they create fake stuff and just steal peoples money, or they may end up getting hacked as well, some hacker finds a loophole in the system and just takes all the money. This is why it would be smarter if they could just end up getting some money some other way as well.

This is not going to be easy but we are going to end up with something that would be risky even during bull run. This is why always invest in projects you trust, or you are going to end up very much like Luna investors and lose all your money along wit hit.

It is the common scheme, Bitcoin increased first and it is followed by altcoins.
I already learned this for a few years, this happens constantly and the scheme is the same. But not all altcoins follow Bitcoin, there are some altcoins that increase in their own ways. Meme coins and stable coins are the examples of the coins that often don't follow Bitcoin. They still can increase although Bitcoin is decreasing a lot.

i guess it also heavily depends on the general sentiment of the market, its all honestly never repeating the cycle of the past, maybe rather rarely repeating the cycle since bullrun always have different trend and the rising of altcoin in general are all always at different time after bitcoin bullruns.
The market sentiment or the issues around crypto is always influenced the prices of crypto coins. Regarding the cycle, we know that 4 years cycle always repeats although it is not 100% the same. Many people are motivated to buy crypto coins because of this cycle. They believe the cycle will always repeat in the future.

because as you can see btc is the pioneer of all coins.  so it's only natural that the coins below follow the development of bitcoin.  if bitcoin price goes up, alt price goes up too.  vice versa.

and I want to ask you all what caused the market situation to be like that? and have people started distrusting altcoins or what?
First of all I wanna say that, whole crypto world running by following the steps of bitcoin. Now in this case where bitcoin will go it also understandable that those will also  follow that path. Then psychological sentiment apart from market sentiment are all reasons behind it.
But that doesn't mean the all-time the whole crypto currencies I mean all the currencies doesn't follow the bitcoin price. Many times some of coins dumps while bitcoin are running but most of the cases most coins are also follow the bitcoin prices.
It is this sentiment of trust that makes bitcoin a major investment favorite during a bearish season, where altcoins experience dramatic dumps, and our only refuge is in bitcoin or stable coins. this is not because people don't believe in altcoins, but later there will also be an altcoin season where we will see altcoin prices react and that means many investors are starting to enter the altcoin market, until it reaches a saturation point and finally falls back, this is more a strategy in dealing with cryptocurrencies.

Of course, when btc goes up and the alts will up too. Thats how the market works because when the btc price rise there something good news appear and it will make crypto more attractive so it will make positive trend for the market.
That's why Bitcoin is the king of crypto because when Bitcoin goes up, it will also make altcoin prices go up,
for now the market is still going up and down and hopefully the bull market can come soon,
I hope there will be more positive news in the future and we'll see.
when bitcoin is going up, altcoin in general might be hit by some storms. here's the thing. when bitcoin prices go up its domination also rises.
all the investment scattered around all these altcoins in general are gonna gets centered around investing to bitcoin again, thats why its domination rises in the first place.
and then the altcoin are just left with lesser market capitalisation which means lesser value.
only when bitcoin has stop having massive rally that I could see altcoin rise, of course it not always like that in every bullruns, but its just that the bullrun is more varied than you think it is.

A somewhat similar trend has been followed by the crypto market when looking at Bitcoin and altcoin pumps. When bitcoin is pumping, altcoins prices will decrease. Moreover, when Bitcoin is dumped, the altcoins prices will go further down. And when the price of Bitcoin consolidated after all this, then there is an altcoin season. Now, the majority of altcoins will test a new all-time high.
this much is true and I also seen the same similar pattern in which if bitcoin prices in general going up, it just doesn't mean altcoin will also go up, usually the dominance of altcoins are plummeted and got eaten by bitcoin first until the bitcoin price is going up so high and consolidate as you said and then thats the time for altcoin season.
meaning that if we are entering a new bullish era doesn't necessarily means that every coin out there would be going up at first it will be bitcoin with its massive rally and potentially reaching all time high and then the turns change. that is the time for altcoin to take advantage of the greed of the market and the bullish.
Yes, that's because sometimes the effect is delayed or the increase in Bitcoin is too small to influence the others. I think the demand of alts are still the same, it's just that sometimes there are new people who entered and they go on Bitcoin first. When BTC is rising, it gives an illusion that altcoins are falling but it wasn't actually.

If BTC price reaches to a higher point, people will be intimidated to buy and they may switch out to altcoin for a while. This is the time that altcoins can catch up and a bull run is officially started. Sometimes people will sell their BTC first, to have a capital. This allows us to see an altcoin season only while BTC price is already dumping.

If you learn the current trend in crypto prices, most altcoins follow the Bitcoin price. If Bitcoin price increases, most altcoins will increase their prices as well. This may be different if we are already in the bullrun season, the trend may change because people's focus will be different.

And when the price of Bitcoin consolidated after all this, then there is an altcoin season.
For altcoins season, it should be in the bullrun season, we can't expect it happens in the near future. Currently, if Bitcoin price is hard to increase, most altcoins are also a bit slow to increase their values. But it is for common altcoins, it is different on hype coins. There are some coins which rely on the hype, they don't depend on Bitcoin price trend.

I have watched the market and the price of bitcoin is going up, and I think and also usually if bitcoin goes up then the altcoins usually go up in price, for example if btc goes up 3% then altcoins always go up in the range of 7%. but what I see this time is not like that, for example if btc goes up 7% then the altcoin goes up only 3%.

and I want to ask you all what caused the market situation to be like that? and have people started distrusting altcoins or what?
it's not that people don't trust to invest in altcoin anymore, but it's usually in the beginning, if the price of Bitcoin starts to slowly increase, then the price of altcoin is sometimes still stable or even only increase slightly, but when the price of Bitcoin starts to increase very high, then the price of altcoin will starts to slowly increase and when the price of Bitcoin starts to stabilize (no decrease), then of course the price of altcoin will starts to increase very high (in my opinion the cycle has always been like this).
To be honest, it doesn't always work the same way, sometimes the prices of altcoins go too high even if Bitcoin goes up only a bit, and sometimes the prices of altcoins rise up very slowly even if Bitcoin is going up very fast, so this keeps changing time to time and we shouldn't expect just one outcome all the time because the cryptocurrency market is too unpredictable, the prices of different coins and their behavior keep changing over time.

And if we talk about trust, people actually don't trust new altcoins very often because their movements are undeterminable and one will need to see them react to at least one bull run to see and understand how they work and then they might start believing in them along with the old ones.
Totally random on which i would say and its true that not all the time on which the price would really be opposing or correlating to each other on which it is really that hard to assume the whenever prices do goes that way
then it would really be that not an assured thing that it would really be making on the same pattern on which it is really that understandable because this market is never been predictable on the first place.
The thing we do always assume is on whenever Bitcoins do rises up then all of altcoins would really be rising up too in terms of price specially on bull run or simply Bitcoin is the main trend setter which is something
that would really be the common set up on this space.

We do always assume on that way but we know that movements would really be random from time to time and this is why having these presumptions and decisions wont really be
resulting into something positive most of the time.

What is there to talk about if some advise investing in bitcoin and others promote dogecoins or NFTs? Well, if you want a third opinion - get it. I support NeonLink.

it is shocking that you are creating account (and you are probably creating many accounts to promote this altcoin) to promote this altcoin, if really this altcoin was a serious project, then the project owners would have enough funds to pay for a good marketing campaign, it could be a bounty campaign here on the forum, it could be a subscription campaign, they could pay on youtube channels and other platforms, but they didn't do that. on the contrary, they are creating many accounts to be spamming the forum

And with that, do you really think that people are blind who are not seeing your bad behavior? and see that you yourself wrote this:

Please answer my question - why do you need to create topics every day like "advise something with a potential of 100x" if you can just pin a post about NeonLink and enjoy this find?

 Shocked

clearly shows that we are facing a project without any resources for marketing, something amateur and that people should stay well away from this project, and because of this type of things that this alcoin market does not surpass bitcoin, in this thread is being discussed about bitcoin when the altcoins rise together, the same scenario happens when the bitcoin price drops a lot all altcoins fall together because the altcoins cannot be independent

I think its more of sentiment of the market getting better and majority become emotionally greedy when bullish comes that makes majority of altcoins in general having such good bullruns.
the thing with this is that, some altcoins might just outright stagnant even when bullish arrives, the fundamental and the utility of certain coins are also contributing highly towards the chance of them having massive rally
when bullrun comes in or when bitcoin have massive rally.
but sometimes bitcoin could be having rally and some altcoins are losing their dominance and instead gets corrected. its all honestly not deterministic at all about the results of bitcoin having massive rally.
