usually if the price of bitcoin goes up then the altcoins will slowly go up, but in my opinion the market this time will be difficult to predict because it can be said that we are in between a bear market and a bull market, so it can be said that there are still many people who are hesitant to enter altcoins because of the situation the market.
but in my opinion sometimes the market doesn't always work as we think.

that's the current state of the market, one lucky if the altcoin has increased along with btc, let alone directly touching 7% of the increase in btc. because as long as I see altcoins tend to be stable first and then experience a gradual increase when BTC has been going a little fast

not really, without altcoins the crypto world looks very lonely because there is no alternative for investment other than bitcoin. the percentage increase or decrease in the price of bitcoin and altcoins does not have to be the same because bitcoin and each altcoin have different markets and investors.

I have watched the market and the price of bitcoin is going up, and I think and also usually if bitcoin goes up then the altcoins usually go up in price, for example if btc goes up 3% then altcoins always go up in the range of 7%. but what I see this time is not like that, for example if btc goes up 7% then the altcoin goes up only 3%.
It will depend on which altcoins they are. Sometimes, when Bitcoin is going up, altcoins will fall down. But if Bitcoin price is falling down, altcoins will also be falling down. However, sometimes, if BTC is sideways, altcoins may have chances to rise up. But this scheme is also not permanent. Sometimes, when Bitcoin is stably rising up with very good news, altcoins will be also following to rise up. At least we can see most of the altcoins will be also doing so very well. In this case, we can see how long altcoins will be able to survive during this kind of market, will be able to follow up Bitcoin's increase or not.

Yeah, it's not always the case, what you have describe is the most possible scenario that we have seen in the market or Bitcoin/Altcoin relationship. But I guess the majority though is that when bitcoin is in a massive run, it trickle down to the most solid altcoins in the market, so they go up as well maybe the increased is huge as compare to bitcoin. But the point is that bitcoin is that influential to them, that a simply blip in the price will affect everyone. And it's only a small percentage that altcoin moved itself alone without the influence of bitcoin in the market, that rarely happen.

Not necessarily to be honest, many people talked about how there is a connection. However, we are talking about crypto here and I have seen so many projects crash and burn during even bull runs. Sure there are a lot more that goes up during that period and that is understandable but that type of extra hype and price increase comes with a lot of pressure and stress on the projects and some of them can't handle it and go down as well. So if you are investing into anything that is risky, then there is a chance that even during the bull run there is a chance it could go down a lot and even crash to near zero levels.

I think part of the reason is that people have started to become more cautious about investing in altcoins. With so many new coins popping up every day, it's becoming harder and harder to distinguish between the good ones and the bad ones. Plus, there have been a lot of scams and fraudulent projects in the altcoin space in the past, which has made investors more wary.

Back then, people were just throwing money at anything with the word "crypto" in it. But now, investors are being more selective and doing their research before making any big moves. As a result, the gains are more measured and the market is less volatile (as a whole).

The price of altcoins is very dependent on the condition of the Bitcoin price in its habits, if the Bitcoin price rises it is likely that the altcoin price will also rise but vice versa if the bitcoin price falls then the altcoin price will also fall. I think when Bitcoin on the top price potential for all altcoin will be pump and give effect with the market condition.

No doubt with altcoin price depend on how Bitcoin is stable price or not, but only with several altcoin without depending how bitcoin price and their communities will make this altcoin pump or not. My altcoin holding right now most depend on how bitcoin price up or not, I checked when bitcoin raising this altcoin allow back to higher price and dump when bitcoin getting crash.

Of course, these moments are connected and growth begins after the movement of bitcoin. But I also noticed that not all tokens behave like the majority. An important factor is the very technology of the developed proposal from the project. That is, the usefulness of the application, periodic product updates, the involved community that supports the project. Also, a powerful team and development of the project will allow listing on new exchanges and much more.

We All Can Make It

and I want to ask you all what caused the market situation to be like that? and have people started distrusting altcoins or what?
Actually what we are experiencing this season is the Dominance of Bitcoin in the Crypto chart and this should be expected. With time we're going to experience the reverse although it is not going to happen for all altcoins.

Some altcoins might not survive this Bitcoin dominance while the altcoins that survived will gain lost ground against BTC.

The interesting part of the market dynamics and volatility is that some traders and investors believe that bitcoin has reached an excessive value and has become sufficiently big just by looking at it, it has gained tremendous value in the sense that to multiply it will require a sizable sum of money from whales. Let's compare the price of Bitcoin to that of Solana. At the current price of Bitcoin, which is $27k, and Solana's price, which is $21, it is much easier for Sol to double its price to $42 than it is for Bitcoin to double its amount to $52k. I don't think you can pump bitcoin to $52k overnight because you would have to double down the cryptocurrency market cap, which will be difficult.

Nah, you did not understand the math behind the market. Well if you are seeing Altcoins going up and down because of the bitcoin then you are seeing it in wrong way. The reason why they pump after bitcoin is pumped is because of the “BTC-ALT” pairing in the crypto trading market. The volume and the value both are interconnected. You are measuring the value in terms of bitcoin and you are trading Altcoins against bitcoin. This means if bitcoin is getting valued then ultimately alts will show their prices as hiked or pumped because that’s what bitcoin is valued at “proportionately”.

To answer your question quick and superficial, i would say yes usually the prices of altcoins also go up when the price of bitcoin rises and usually the prices of altcoins also go down when the bitcoin price is falling. At least this was the case in the past in almost all cases. Usually the development in a bullrun is, that Bitcoin is the first crypto project that rises in terms of the price. This continues for a few weeks, while the altcoins are not rising as fast as bitcoin itself. Then the bigger altcoins also begin to pump and often rise even more than bitcoin did before and during that altcoin rallye the price of bitcoin does not rally go up that fast anymore or even stays stable.

This is not the case anymore, the price of Btc has been going up recently and still most altcoins are still not going up because many people don't want to invest in altcoins cause of the unstable market condition. We have been in a downtrend for more than a year now and most have lost a lot during this period. That is why many are holding back from making new investments.

actually not all altcoins prices go up when bitcoin prices go up, but most altcoins prices will follow the rising trend of bitcoin prices, and the difference between the increase in bitcoin and altcoins cannot be measured with a definite percentage, it must always be changing, in fact most of the increases in altcoins prices exceed the increase bitcoins
Currently there are more than 10000 altcoins in the market but not all altcoins are traded. When Bitcoin is bullish, the price of all the coins that are traded in the market increases. There are many altcoins that have died with no hope of getting investment back. So if the price of Bitcoin goes up, not all altcoins rise up.

Everything in the crypto market is dependent on bitcoin and also altcoins.  Due to this, if the price of Bitcoin increases, the price of Altcoins will pump more than Bitcoin, and if the price of Bitcoin will dump, then the price of Altcoin will dump more than Bitcoin. This is a market cycle and this cycle will continue.  When the price of Bitcoin rises again, the price of altcoins will also increase and the cryptocurrency market cap will also strengthen. Currently due to the low price of Bitcoin, the price of all altcoins has also decreased, so the condition of the cryptocurrency market cap is also very bad.
I agree with you on this point, In fact, the entire altcoin or cryptocurrency market in progress by centered around Bitcoin. For example whenever we talk that the market condition is good and that definitely refers to the price of Bitcoin we say. Bitcoin is the mother of the entire cryptocurrency worldAnd that's why when the price of Bitcoin is on the green line, the other alt-coins of the whole crypto currency are on the green line.

Basically bitcoin has always been at the forefront of trends and bullish signals.  This is the necessary and mostly the only signal to pull the altcoin to move in the bullish direction.  In some cases, a level of confidence in the rise of bitcoin will be observed cautiously and upon activation, the altcoin will start a bull cycle and vice versa.  In the event of a macro bullish bitcoin, altcoins will follow in an explosive fashion.

What we are seeing today is the contradiction between the two, but in a long run there is a parallelism with the market prices. But going back; bitcoin and altcoin dominance. As I've observed, whenever the price of bitcoin falls, most of the altcoins are showing dominance in the market. My take on this is the reason for a market price increase. If there is a hype to this industry in general, for sure all coins will have the same price movement but since there is none, contrary price movement is visible depending on the demand in this industry ofcourse. Many altcoins are now showing surprising increase despite of weird pattern on the prices of major coins.Depends on how you view the charts; long term vs short term.
