This is an important topic, nobody should make guesses about.
As per as much research as I can find, at this time, Coinbase does not issue 1099's. Everything is too new.
Reward for early adopters? I don't know.
But even PayPal has an entire page on when they will issue a 1099. You must meet two criteria:
1) Generate over $20,000 of income in 1 calendar year *and*
2) Have over 200 transactions in 1 calendar year.
If you don't meet both criteria, paypal will not issue a 1099.

You realize that # 2 leaves it wide open .....
And it clearly states "This law applies to all payment processors". So that would include Coinbase.
Now imagine having only 3 transactions totaling $100,000 .... you get the rest.

MtGox have withdrawing issues for half year. Use different exchange and you should be fine. And it is market, when your sell order at x is filled, it mean someone bought at this price with money he deposited to the exchange already

I think we will see couple of ups and downs (pretty big too), but end value will be much higher than as of current. But we'll see

I agree, but not conquer the world, instead replaces PayPal, Western Union and so on.

The price will definitely be very high in the future. I just watch on landofbitcoin its touching 1000$ so now please fix now new target for 5000$ its better and hope its also happen very soon
The sonner it reach your target 5000$, the higher likelihood to crash very big. I preffer only slow steady rise, not this hype

No one can predict the future of btc but this is one interesting approach:
Let say it will continue to grow 5% each day as the current trend tells;
1000x1.05=1050
1050x1.05=1102.5
1102.5x1.05=...etc.
That means it will reach $10000 in 47 days and $100000 in 95 days.. Just saying..

What kind of nonsense - if it would grow that fast then sometime somebody will find out that the Bitcoin value is not in balance with the trading assets and the bubble will pop - maybe it goes down from 10000$ to 1000$ again.

I don't think BTC (and other major crypto currencies) is going to crash any time soon. I think there is plenty of market for the current and many new coins which haven't even started yet. Not many people realize that what's happening is actually the revolution we were all waiting for so long.
