Now it is 1141 in mtgox.

I think that the bubble is going to explode soon, a lot of people on that price want to take his money and invest it in other places, after this the value of bitcoin will drop to past levels and they will be buying again the same bitcoins they sell.

Remember that as all the currencies in the world people manipulate the prices of them to make a lot of money.

Right now some big investors are manipulating the price of the bitcoin to make a lot of money.

As always there will be people that make a lot of money and there will be a lot of people that loose a lot of money, view this like stocks they always manipulate the price.

If you're a 'buy and hold' guy and the bubble bursts, you have nothing but losses, that is, if the 'buy and hold' guy is even brave enough to even sell when the price breaks.

If you're trading on this rise, you've already made your money and any price depreciation presents an opportunity to short or buy cheaply if the price finds support.

-----

Profit banked and happy or paper profit hopefully?

That's your choice. No point waiting for the hammer to fall.

 Cool

Well we have officially reached 1000$ just now.
Bitstamp counts, not Gox.
I don't understand why is it that Bitstamp counts and not the others.
could you explain why this is?
I am here to learn and others also, so it wouldn't harm.

BTW. $1147 USD and $1285AUD on Mt.Gox (and it's the second biggest exchange)
I doubt that you can even get your $ from Mt.Gox. They are lacking FIAT that is why the price is so high there.

I remember when to rate first time jumped above $200 - and then dropped, people was crying about buying BTC at $200 - I guess looking back, it was a sweet deal.

Yeah, I bought most of my mining rig when BTC was about USD$100 or less and with a few astute trades and the increase in price of BTC, it's more than paid for itself in less than two months. Meanwhile, all those suckers that believed in what http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/ was telling them probably kept their fiat in their banks. Muahaha Wink

wow, $1000 for 1 bitcoin, must be nice to get in early,

and have a pile of coins. Nice for you if you have,

but its quite expensive for people just starting out,

don't you think?

I am just starting to acquire a little, see where it goes. And yes, is is expensive but the same was said about people buying at $50 back in the days. I got the feeling it might skyrocket, and if it doesn't I lost a little.so be it.

You can sell on Stamp and have the money in hand in a reasonable amount of time. As a (western) European or American this is not the case for Gox, BTC-e or BTCChina.

Thanks for reply,
so Bitstamp is like LocalBitcoins.com, now I understand what LaudaM is on about.
