Few hours from this moment, 2019 will enter the calendar. But still, nothing possible is occuring at this moment which would contribute to the recovery of not only ethereum but the cryptomarket itself. We cannot do anything advisable right now other than holding and hoping for a positive behavior next year. So i think it would be impossible for ethereum to reach a value of 300 usd before this year end

Well, sad to say that few hours left before the year end and the price of ETH is still around $130. Let’s just look forward for the future price of ETH, many investors believe that the price of ETH will be good in January after the expectation on the hardfork so let’s see if ETH succeed on that.

we all lost money in 2018, and we all GOT big bennefits in 2017. this is not impossible in crypto, but about 300$, now is 30 DEC, and price is 140. i think 100% grows in 1 day is impossible. but now have nice movements, and i think we can see this price before Forks (12.01.2019 ethereum classic vision + 16.01-18.01.2019 Ethereum constantinople hard fork) i dont know about ETCV , but after 7 080 000 block we can see different EThereum, POW mineable + 2 new ETH in per block. for me its nice reason for buy more and more before forks.

It may reach 309 USD if Constantinople update is successful ,it will make Ethereum network more fast and secure and address it's scalability issues , and prices may pump though how much it will pump we can just guess but yes we can't rule out that 300 is indeed a possibilty.

I've heard many people talk about a new cycle for cryptocurrency, so I believe in a positive outcome, however, I also understand that it will take a long time for the market to go up. Hopefully, this will soon be improved.

Agree with you, and it is difficult for ethereum to reach that number unless there is a mass buying at many exchanges. And if we take a look at the market, it seems ethereum needs to wait after the Casper project launch in the next year so ethereum can start to increase, but it's not guaranteed for ethereum. But in the long run, I think ethereum can increase like before, but unfortunately, we don't know when it's happening.

It will likely take some time for the recovery. The $300 threshold may soon be achieved, but for ETH to return to its peak, perhaps we have to wait a long time.

Relax and make some beer. I also expect this but we only have 2 days to go to the new year. price and threshold 150 to overcome if you want to succeed longer at $ 300. In my opinion, ETH will return in Q2-2019. Honestly, the market is going down very much and needs more adjustments for confidence to return.

However, i am kinda optimistic on the crypto market for the next quarter

Q1 of 2019 seems like the catalyst that everyone is waiting for, not only retail players, institutions are waiting.
Yet, it can go both ways, up or down

If the entire Bakkt, ETF things is there but market didn't actually go for the "WOW" bulls effect, i guess crypto is most likely stuck somehow then

Anytime it gets cheap in comparison to Bitcoin it becomes a decent value proposition even though the market has not been performing that well if you're focused on what you can gain in future as the platform develops further and not immediately on what you might benefit from today
