Unfortunately in this altcoin market it is relatively easy to see continuous bubbles, so it would not be so difficult to face an eventual bubble in bitcoin at any time, under any pretext.

an artificial "bubble" or a steady, although big price jump as the result of some groundbreaking news?
if you define bubble as something that drives the price up several times over without any reason or event behind it,basically - result of a "conspiracy" between traders and major holders
then I doubt we see one any time soon
but the price could skyrocket due to some particular events ,as an example the block size increase decision or changes in legislation that would allow bitcoin to become legal tender

A bubble, yes, i am sure of that, will it be the same as we saw in 2013?
I am quite sure such a thing will not happen anymore. The markets it totally different then in 2013, more resistances, more users (who will cash out etc.).

don't be so sure. the dotcom bubble was massively larger than any bitcoin bubble and it involved all the top line people everywhere in the world. bubbles happen in the largest markets. bitcoin's freaking tiny.

the reason there hasn't been a bubble in bitcoin since then is because there hasn't been any demand for it ever since 2013. if demand grew faster than people willing to sell it then it's bubble time again and sellers are just as paranoid at missing out as buyers.
How can you say there hasn't been a bubble since 2013? What do you call the price of the last few months,  organic growth?  The truth is with bitcoin you can only call a bubble a bubble in hindsight,  if the price drops back down to $250 this whole period could be classed as a bubble.

I wouldn't write off the effects of the past halving completely. Neither would I classify the recent growth as a bubble even if Bitcoin went or would eventually go down to $250. After the halving the supply of new coins has diminished two times, this is what could be called a new normal as others suggested. It is something which you can't sneeze at or discard as unimportant whether you like it or not. I don't think we can disregard the reward halving as an insignificant detail in the price picture of this year. Bubbles, on the contrary, consist mainly of air, figuratively speaking, or, in other words, of expectations based on nothing.

How can everyone be sure of that we are not in a bubble right now? The price was 400$ a few months ago, 200$ last summer.

It rose %200 since last summer and %50 since April. Don't you think it looks a bit like a bubble?

$2 to $32 is a bubble. $100 to $1000 in the space of a few weeks is a bubble. waking up to a price $100 higher than the night before is a bubble. going up a healthy amount over a few months is not.

Every year there is at least one or two bubbles that happen, aside from maybe 2015 but that was more of an odd year for everyone compared to the other years we're experienced. Bubbles will definitely be a less common occurrence if/when more people start using it more often, but for now it will experience its own fair share of bubbles.

since 2013 there've been rallies. there certainly haven't been any bubbles. a bubble is a totally different beast imo. you can feel the market going crazy. in recent years there's been some exuberance but nothing felt like a bubble to me. it went up and then it came down without any type of the hangover that real bubbles have.

The days of big bubbles are OVER. In fact, it's been almost 3 years since we had a bubble. We're seeing a stabilization in the price at around $600 for months now. Get used to it, this is the normal. You will not see another bubble to $1200 any time soon.

i don't think too serious for another bubble, and if there is a sign for increasing price, i think i will wait for a moment because i see that maybe in next the price of bitcoin will get up, but its need a little time before its sure to go up. and when i see on polo, the sign of increasing price is show up but i must be sure for first before i can sell my bitcoin.

I hope there will be a fourth bubble in Bitcoin and i expect it will happen in 2017.If it happens, it will be very beneficial for bitcoin community and more people will start to use bitcoin

Biggest pump always happen on every halving time only. So that sure we can see a difference in the price of the Bitcoin. Apart from that every year end we can see some bubble in the price chart.
Yes sure we must no doubt about it because bubble will not comes only when half want to occur at least we can expect the shortest bubble comes before new years.

We can expect another bubble soon. Prices corrected after the bitfinex hack and now it's more stabilized for the moment. The halving has happened and the supply is reduced. I am guessing that we can see a price rally soon. This time I am betting it will cross the $1000 limit.

I think there is a possible bubble to occur when the news of segwit being activated, and speculators rally behind this update.  Development plus good press + speculators rallying and making noise about price increase speculation might trigger a bubble if done perfectly.  So I think the activation of Segwit will triggle the next bubble.

There's always going to be speculation on another bubble and of course it's going to happen. It would be very unlikely that we'll ever see a huge spike like when Bitcoins went from worth a few dollars to over $1000 though.
That is easy to spot and I encourage everyone here that once we see the price is skyrocketing we should ride with it because it might be the start of another bubble but do it with timing as you will also need to sell your bitcoins immediately when the price starts to fall.

I'm not going to wait when the price is falling in order to sell. I prefer to sell at the time the price is still going up, which for me has been working out very well. This of course depends on the type or person, but I am not that greedy to keep waiting for the top price.

It's a very good plan buddy, for if we sell when the price fell then it will only make us lose. Except to those who get free way, bitcoin until whenever they will still profit. Because they get free way bitcoin. We don't have to worry about the future of the bitcoin, most important is staying focused on our lives in order to be better
