It is hard to tell which coin will survive into the future as Cryptocurrency is very dynamic and things move faster here than any other market! Ethereum have survived and thrived for the past seven years now and other notable coin like ADA have been consistence and has done well. I think ethereum will survive beyond five years, other listed coin however could not be vounched for!

We all know for Ethereum, Cardano, and from recently we can see Polkadot almost everywhere, but I never heard for Terra, Theta, and Avax, those are totally new for me! I am scrolling through the thread and I think most of us agree that the first 3 are here to stay, and all three of them have a good potential to cost a lot more in 5 years than now! As for the other 3, I think each of us has some investments in new alts, so it does not matter what we think if you did research and you decided to believe in them with some part of your bankroll!

In my opinion, I strongly believe in ETH, its growth potential in the future is still very good, although the transaction fees are a bit high, but I believe this will be fixed soon. As for Polkadot and Avax, I'm not sure if they'll last forever, but I think they'll grow in the near future. Both of their ecosystems are well developed and they are also supported by many people

There is no doubt that the 5 coins are worth holding for the long term 5 years or more, as long as we don't have an urgent need I believe that these 5 coins can skyrocket and make us rich in 5 years, patience and not panic is the key to success if we invest in cryptocurrencies.

This is quite good coins to bag to be honest but its really early to say that they will last that span knowing there are so many changes and bad events to be consider which can determine the future but if you really trust those coins then can able to gamble some of your capital for long term then do it since you will either get richest or get lose for what you plant for the last 5 years on it. But anyways its up to you to decide and determine since your decision towards this will matter the most if you want to invest on those coins.

Sure they will, because one cryptocurrency will not be good enough for various usecases. I can't speak for all of them, but what I think is that Ethereum, Cardano, Theta, Avax, Monero will survive and moreover evolve!

Polkadot and Ethereum will last a long time in my opinion. Including Cardano, because they are coins that can be used from various aspects. There is also a coin called Polygon which indeed they are coins that will be able to last a long time. Hm, maybe you should elaborate on what you mean by "survive"?

And also five years is quite a long time but I guess still short enough to give at least an educated guess. As many here said, Ethereum is the most likely to be around, and not only be around but also be successful (at least in terms of market cap). It has established itself as an attractive asset even for institutional investors. As for the others, hard to tell where they will be at. They will definitely "survive" in the sense that they won't be entirely dead. I also don't think that they will be dumped to oblivion, but you never know. If development stops or innovation rules them out in a way then everything is possible.

of course they will survive for next 5 years , they have their own ecosystem , but u miss algo and matic , since these 2 coins have a same chance like every u choice, a bit funny u didn't choose solana , and actually , elrond ecosystem will launch this november, hope u have some EGLD too , since it will be the next great ecosystem for sure.

Ethereum and Cardano are having the highest chances of survival after 5 years, they are having huge demand and also the market cap to support it as well. Most of the application are running on the ethereum network, also with the new update the demand for ethereum will also rise drastically.
Also I would like to add BNB to this list as well, being the one of the biggest crypto exchanges, the binance coin is having huge support and new coins are also being launched on the binance smart chain as well.

for ethereum, Cardano and polkadot, I'm pretty sure it will last up to 5 years, it will even expand. for other coins, I think it can also hold up, it could even be said that the coin you mentioned is a coin that is popular at the moment, and has a future that is likely to be very good. however, if you're still a bit hesitant about it, it's best for low-percentage assets, put them in ethereum. or convert to BNB. I'm pretty sure BNB is also worth adding to someone's portfolio.

Very sure that the coins you hold at this time have long-term potential and many choices that you might take in the future, because there will still be many coins that will appear that have better potential than your five coins.

Indeed many coins will start to appear in few years from now and can do much better than the 6 coins listed. But for now, the OP wants to talk about the 6 coins that he listed above.

ETH is one of the finest and trustworthy coins among those 6 coins you listed and pretty sure it will pay you back bigtime for a very competitive rate. Cardano and Polkadot is also among those coins that has potential and probably will soar higher than this years rate.
So yes, those 3 coins I've mentioned will survive not just 5 years but it can be longer than that.

Hi OP, you have a good portfolio, but new projects will always come and some of them will compete with top 100 coins, I can see Solana and Terra have projects that are continuously developing in their ecosystem, I still want to know if the trend of NFT will be last for the next 5 years or there will be another trend in the financial system that is now being built by Terra

I believe in ETH that has been tested both in terms of price and market capitalization, and in the future ETH will continue to grow. The same goes for the rest of your portfolio, especially Cardano and DOT. These two coins have always been good news so far, and I'm sure ADA and DOT will last a long time because they have a pretty strong project and community.

ETH is a good Investment and rarely gets FUD news, Because ETH's market cap is already 1/2 of Bitcoin, if ETH goes up 100%, the market cap has crossed $1 trillion, if ETH goes up 200%, the world can be exciting. but, whatever your investment choice, always prioritize money management

The future is very unpredictable coins come and go if you looked back 7 years ago some of the coins that are on the top 10 are not here anymore, take the case of Litecoin it's holding in the number two spot for many years but they are now on the 17th position, new innovations and new technology are coming in if the coins cannot keep up or their developers are not committed they will likely go down in the standing,

Going back to the coin you've chosen, they have a good chance to survive for five years or even more, they have a strong community and dedicated developers.
