I don't think the bitcoin will fall in 2018, it will stable and will rise because is very famous but much investitor could buy altcoin with low fees and who have transactions more fast.
Just like the stock market Bitcoin will drop and then go up, this also happens in fiat. Good news is it goes up more than it goes down.
I think the decline in the Bitcoin price is caused by the long holiday, and people are selling their Bitcoin for their vacation funding, so it affects the Bitcoin price, but I am optimistic that in 2018 Bitcoin price will increase again.
Due to Ripples recent INSANE bull run, I have been seeing SO many FUD posts about how "Bitcoin is over" "Bitcoin will fail in 2018" and whatever other titles people can construe and conjure up to make people scared or sell off their position. It has been really irritating me so I decided to make a video about it, let me know your thoughts and happy New Year!

Forget about the FUDs and all the negative posts about bitcoin because this year 2018 is also going to be great for bitcoin. Bitcoin was in mood for the last few days and even today due to the bitcoin high transaction fee and very slow transaction speed issue, but not for long. The bitcoin "lightning network" is about to be implemented to speed up the bitcoin transaction speed with ZERO transaction fee, how good is that, huh? With the lightning network bitcoin is going to be back on the track running faster than ever. All these guys that are saying bitcoin is dead they should go and hang themselves, then! Bitcoin collapsed for a reason, but because half of the transactions were hanging on, and the second half began to cost $30 per transaction. He grew in price because he was believed in. And when it became clear that he would not take out so many transactions, he collapsed. And now it is held only by Enthusiasts, who still hope to make money on it or at least get their money back. Bitcoin needs to address issues of channel scalability for transactions.
I doubt it since lots of institutional money coming in
No one can tell, but I do hope it does not end in 2018. It is too early to tell that bitcoins will fall in 2018. May be if we heard news about major forks or new competitors or even alt coins getting hyped from whales and millionaires, then we can talk about bitcoin's fall. But as of now, I have no doubts.
Although it is not such an easy job to predict about the price of bitcoin but still i think that bitcoin has too much potential and still people are taking too much interest in bitcoin therefore hopefully its price will continue increasing.

The moment people think bitcoin is going to die is the right moment to buy bitcoin. I personally think bitcoin will continue a slowly decrease of its value in the next months because many people will be scared by LN implementation, and there could a 50% dump and even more, but it doesn't matter, BTC is here to stay through the years, there are really interesting altcoin out there like Ethereum, ADA, Waves, Bitcore, DeepOnion, but I think bitcoin will remain the main store of value in a long term period.
I think it might fall, BTC has gone from having 67% of the market all the way down to 35% of the market in less than a month, obviously this is because people stop putting their money into BTC or because they move their BTC over to ALT's instead.
I dont have any money at all in BTC because I'm afraid it's gonna drop, but this is just my opinion, everyone should make up their own opinions before putting their money into something.

May be if we heard news about major forks or new competitors or even alt coins getting hyped from whales and millionaires, then we can talk about bitcoin's fall. But as of now, I have no doubts.

There are rumours about ripple and bitcoin but I do not think ripple or any other coin can overcome bitcoin int he sooner time. Bitcoin can continue to dominate among other crypto currencies. Even it has been fell lately, it will rise within this year.
I think the main problems have already been overcome by bitcoin and now it will grow. so, by the end of the year it will larger than before again in several times
Hopefully 2018 will be more successful year for bitcoin. and bitcoin will continue increasing its price in 2018, therefore it will be good if we continue investing money in bitcoin right now. 
although currently the bitcoin falls in early 2018 but I see in 2018 to the end it will be able to rise high and become a coin with a high price, it is impossible for bitcoin to drop drastically and fall to the lowest point.

Many have actually claimed this countless times. However, up until now, it does not hold water, and it's all but claims. Bitcoin has been a staple in the cryptocurrency market, and it would be really really difficult to take down the giant in any field. Bitcoin is the premiere and pioneer coin that holds the highest value and market cap. It also is the most popular and marketable. So, even if many altcoins are beginning to rise from the ashes, they are yet to reach the potential that bitcoin has reached over the years.

we cant tell anything about future. in 2011 when people believe bitcoin never die but some hack had been take down mtgox and make bitcoin price dump to 200$
i dont think bitcoin will fall in 2018 because lot of people love bitcoin now and they grab the opportunity to earn lot of money. they also use bitcoin now as a payment in some country maybe soon bitcoin price will go up not go down. bitcoin community increase rapidly and bitcoin will also increase because of the demand.

The transaction fees right now are lower compared during holidays and I think bitcoin will bounce back. The year 2018 is just started we have a lot of time to hold more bitcoin, don't panic because the best year is about to come.
Btc may fall now but am so sure it will pump up as soon as possible again. No need to panic.
Bitcoin will need to get it's act together and do something about the insane fees and slow confirmations if it wants to stand a chance this 2018. A few cryptos are gaining on it so they need to act fast.
