Hi,

Just wondering if you guys will stay in crypto (aka hold or sell your BTC holdings) if the price does not recover.

Lets say we are still around 6k-7k by December 2018 => Will you wait it out or give up and say "OK, we had a nice ride but we are not going up again"?

What about if in 2019 price is still hovering around 6k-7k and there is no sign of recovery to 10k+ (or even a new ATH)

As for me, if there's no emergency situation that will occur and then I will stay to hodl my coins. Bitcoin has already proven its potential growth as the years gone by so, I have faith with this crypto.

Yes of course, if i can be in crypto currency when the of Bitcoin was less than $2,000 talk more is between  $6,000 to $7,000. My goal in crypto currency it not just all about profit but beyond that which i will not disclose at the moment pending when i have achieved up to 50 percent of it.

Need some spare btc for a new PC
It's like bitcoin was never under $6.000, like the starting price was $7.000... Even with the price at $7.000, it's still a lot more than what we had last year and from this point onward it probably won't go any lower than $8.000, and even if it does by some scenario, that would just open up the opportunity for investments.

I will stay in the crypto community even if the bitcoin price goes under 1000 USD.
I`m not sure that the term "recover" is the right word that describes the situation. The BTC price is where it is.Bitcoin (or the blockchain) isn`t damaged or destroyed,so it`s doesn`t have to "recover".
All the "easy profit" seeking traders and investors will lose their money and they will just leave the crypto community, which might be something good for all the real crypto supporters.
Well, he's not pertaining to bitcoin like a thing that gets damaged. What he meant by recover is the price of bitcoin, If it will bounce back above $10k $ or not. If bitcoin will stay at $6-7k by next year then I will say that it is the stability that a lot of us are asking for and in my case, I will still continue holding my bitcoin or I could also use it because I can still get it back at the same price considering the stability.

For me i will still holding my bitcoin, If bitcoin starts from just cents and in past many years it is just increasing year by year not 1 year only. Holding bitcoin for many years is not easy because it is a money right but holding bitcoin for a long time is a worth waiting for.

Yes of course, bitcoin and cryptocurrency have become part of my life, I always get profit even though the market has not yet recovery, as long as there is always up and down the price then this can make me get profit because I am active in trading.
Even if the market never recover I will still be part of the market of cryptocurrencies, I'm not a trader I'm a long term holder which means that at that point I'll probably need to become a trader if I want to get profits, but I am also interested to see how the story ends, I want to see bitcoin if disappears or if it is able to become one of the most powerful currencies around the world.

I will continue for a while. because krito is in good shape. there are some disruptions. The market is very volatile. but the rocket is very close.
The disruption made in the market is due to the popularity of Bitcoin because people are attracted by Bitcoin and less to others. The whole disruption is from 2009 when crypto born as the Bitcoin born in a new shape as a currency. It is not happening and never will happen because the Bitcoin market has been surviving and gone through the tough situations so this statement is not valid, people are still investing and Bitcoin is growing more with the passage of time.

Once and for all, i have dedicated my time and effort in crypto because of Bitcoin. I am investing in some alt coins because of bitcoin. I am joining bounties from initial coin offerings because of bitocin. So bitcoin is really the source of my endeavors and that there's no reason why i won't stay in crypto if btc won't recover.

I think it is not possible if bitcoin can not recover, crypto price is very changeable and it can enable bitcoin will increase in value, time keeps going and bitcoin price will increase again.
Why not? I will continue. Even if bitcoin is on the ground if other altcoins are in good standing then why not. Anyway not all cryptocurrencies are bitcoin based so as long as other cryptos have value i will remain in crypto, as long as it benefits me.

Of course I will stay to bitcoin even it's change the price of this. The price 6k or 7k is a big thing to us you can earn profit even the price of bitcoin is not too high. Fuds are always there and never leave crypto so it's up to people panic or stay calm. For me we don't need to always listen to gud news because you cannot be successful if you always listen some bad news and adopt to yourself.

People are judging crypto market on the basis on past 10 years.
But it has not yet reached 10 years.

Very impossible that until 2019 bitcoin will stay at $6,000 - $7,000 just look on where are we right now.

But beware that when the market tries to recover there are FUD that will try to destruct the calmness of bitcoin's market for a while.

Definitely!  I will stay in crypto evenif BTCdoes not recover.  There are other cryptocurrency option out there and if a person is well versed in trading, he will definitely see the volatility of Bitcoin to be profit generating fluctuation.  Meaning, regardless of price of Bitcoin, a good trader will always profit from it.  So yeah, I will stay no matter what happen to BTC.

People are judging crypto market on the basis on past 10 years. Bitcoin is indeed a dominant currency at this point of time. But that doesn't not mean that if Bitcoin doesn't exist, crypto market will die. First of all Bitcoin is going no where in coming years. Bitcoin might lack the utility factor. But it has developed the investor's trust and is the medium of exchange to buy and sell altcoins. Thus, if we see short term, Bitcoin will definitely recover.

Well I will stay over there despite of the fact that price is decreasing or increasing. I think it will reduce the number of persons that are in market for the sake of fun or part time marketers. Only pure crypto traders will left if it happened.

With the scenarious that you are citing I think if will be illogical if i will continue to invest even if the price would that be low and still dropping. Practically speaking I will salvage everything that's left and invest it to other business venture. We all need to survive you know. But anyway those scenarious that you are seeing are just too impossible to happened right now.

I dont see the price is a reason to no longer have an interest in crypto.
For most people being part of this market for a longer while volatility isn't a disturbing factor, but for a lot newbies that's their daily reality. Price up is Bitcoin doing all fine, where price down means it's losing popularity.

It's broken logic not making any sense, but how do you convince them otherwise? They have to find it out themselves, because with how much information there is available, it clearly didn't help them to learn anything.

Or they simply don't bother to do any research. It might very well be a combination of both factors. Either way, they need to dive in the Bitcoin river to figure out how to behave and how everything is working here.

Losing money is the best possible form of education. If even losing money doesn't make you learn from mistakes, then know that you are mentally not capable of investing in any market.
The truth is that most people are not qualified to be investors, this is why it is so dangerous that so many people have invested money not only bitcoin but in many other markets like stocks or forex they are unable to make a fair assessment of their skills and their character because they are blinded by greed and when that happens it is going to be possible to convince them that investing is a terrible idea for them
