I does not matter at all, because everyone could be scammed. When even big exchanges are getting tricked and launching IEOs of scam projects, what are we talking about? I hardly doubt that a rank can determine a project legitimacy.

I have seen some the forum warned against trading or engaging in whatever is managed by some legendary accounts. Which means that even if a legendary account is presenting anything, you need to first check it well before believing and trusting it.

Some time back project announcements were usually made by high ranked members because it was perceived they were more trust worthy and things went on smoothly but with time you expect change and now this is possible with any account(copper member for lowest rank) and issues of trust are all a matter of how good a project is and not the announcer.

That depends on the reputation of the legendary member.

However if I have to gauge the trust between lower rank and a legendary member with no reputation yet, I would more believe on the Legendary member as he is here longer and he could be more knowledgeable than the lower rank, and one thing, his reputation is at stake as well and it's hard to rank up to Legendary member so definitely he will not announce a scam project to protect his account.

i know if the legendary member give more value when they posting about project, most peoples will trust them than newbie / newcome member here. But for me i don't care about status member as long they come with good and trust project.

We should never rely our trust on the rank of the member when pronouncing a project, they can commit mistakes also and get scammed in the end. We should review the team who is handling the project and its members and the whitepaper to see if the project is trustworthy.

Will you trust a project that the one that announced it in the announcement thread is a legendary member even though the legendary has announced that he is not part of the team and was just part of the service he offered.

Let me know your thoughts here.
I have seen some legendary users here who have red trust in ther profile so to me it makes no difference at all who made the announcement.  The information can also come from a newbie and it will be more original and useful than from a legendary member

It depends mostly on the team members of the project and the project itself and not about the person who create the announcement. Any project can become a scam, announced by a legendary member or not.

It depends on what he's offering though. I trust a member in this forum by their trust rating/score, not by their rank so even though a member has a low rank, it doesn't bother me as long as DT members whom I also trust use to trust the person who's announcing the project regardless if he/she is part of it or not.

For me not at all although it's good in the eyes if it's being endorsed by a legendary member but the quality of the project is the most important of all. If the project has a professional team, if it has use cases and can solve block chain flaws and if can get the attention of people around the world, whether it's a newbie or legendary member who's endorsing it i will trust the project.

Joining a projects should not depend on ranks but the popularity and trust worthy of that certain person as we don't know if the account was stolen or bought. Join a project with a reputable facilitators because a good manager will always check if the project is good and legit because their reputation is at stake.
you are right, at least a good bounty manager can choose the project they are going to promote. even though good projects are not always successful, because success depends on how the market is interested in the products offered.

I cannot be sure because I have participated in many projects managed by legendary members and some projects cannot be included in any exchange.  They created and managed campaigns because they were paid.  To be able to find a quality bonus project we will have to search very carefully and take a lot of effort.

here are many successful projects managed by legendary members, but if they are not part of the team, I will do research and consider the project I want to follow.
every new project has the opportunity to present new innovations, but if the project I follow has the same idea from the past, then I will not join the bounty
Legendary ratings will provide the best bounty if they want to manage a bounty with a good project.

Personally, I don't really look at the rank of the person hosting or launching the project on this forum. I mainly check out the feasible of the project in the crypto space and the entire world in general.  I'm more of an ideologist. I only trust the main concert behind a project than the person hosting or announcing it here on this forum. People who announce project of this forum are more concern about the money they receive to announce the project than the main purpose of the project to the entire crypto space...

Even topics and threads by a seasoned bounty manager with a good rank have become a dubious project, every high rank and bounty manager here strive to announce a good project to offer to the community, it's just that they have no control on how the developers behave after they got funded.

yes, as long as the project is genuine and they are transparent with their project it doesn't matter
that is another aspect of this topic. in the view of an account that has been ranked high he should have enough experience to publish a good project. but now many bounty managers only use new accounts with cooper member.

He is talking about projects, not just about bounties given by people with high rankings in the forum. Many long-term accounts are used to receive promotional offers for projects. So it's not important for me to trust by rank at bitcointalk
I have seen so many cases about a project that created by old account become a scam or even the old account itself create a scam service like cloud mining. It does not increase the credibility of the ico or project and what should we do to see the fundamental of project based on the technical review.

The same way I don't trust a project because it was ranked by ICOs website, I will not trust a project just because it was launched by a legendary member. The legendary member might launch the project because he was paid to do so and not because he researched it and found it good. So if you follow his opinion blindly without your own research you will likely end up losing your hard earned money.

I've been doing bounties since 2017 and for what I've experienced not even Legendary or Hero rank bounty managers got spared by scammed projects. Some legendary or Hero ranks bounty managers are only after the payout and doesn't care about their reputation. When choosing bounty do your own research before joining them.
