Think is a violation against the GPL

Nope, I'm happy to provide full source to the modified Genoil miner - because all it does it load GPU binaries instead of OpenCL and pass those to the driver.

The binaries are standalone, and not covered.

Please, publish source code to the modified Genoil miner.

So its the same speed but only 4% power saved?

I assumed this miner would be like 30-50% faster.

too expensive for me according to estimated prices.  For a smaller operation, ROI on this is around a year.  im basing myself on 200mhs and cost of around 0.3-0.35btc.  But its good to see people coming up with improved software.  I would suggest going the route claymore is currently doing - fee based usage.  apart from self-interest, someone may simply put the software out there.  good luck though.

You should benchmark my miner in stratum mode with default farm recheck of 2000. -SC 2 may reduce CPU load a little bit. It will give more stable (and higher) output. Same goes for your fork btw.

Just for the sake of it,for  5 390x and one 380 card he wanted 0.38 BTC.While i appreciate his work and probably his miner is good there is no way to justify mining 1 month just to get this miner(electricity is not cheap here) . 1% fee would had been a better approach in my opinion.

Whelp, looks like we won't be doing business with you again. You gave us a list of cards - I gave you an estimate. You did not state electricity was an issue; some clients don't pay for it. You didn't even try to negotiate. You just said 'no'. Fair enough. You move on - you don't come to a public forum and bitch and moan about it.

No, we won't be doing the 1% fee.

In the future, please refrain from broadcasting the details of private PM's.

For others: the price is tailored to your farm size, your current cards, and other factors. If you're interested in a quote, message Wolf0, or myself, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Does he charge a flat fee or based on the number of GPU? Maybe he does not want your business so charge higher fee.

Currently, it's based on the number of GPU's for the Eth miner - however, many things factor into the decision. Return-of-investment, electricity, farm size, current budget, what cards, etc. People who are polite and kind and are long-time customers get a deal, too.

Just a small thing what directly popped up in my mind...

What's from stopping people to say: i have 6 GPU's, while they have 600.. 0.35btc is peanuts for a farm with over 200GPU's..

Just saying.. Smiley

Nothing, sadly. A bit of research, though, on my end to ferret out the liars, and counting on the common decency of people.

Tahiti (& Pitcairn) is a (lost) battle against declining hashrate anyway. But it does still have quite a market share I guess.

        Whats the hashrate for 7970?

AFAIK there is no Tahiti support yet. Only Hawaii & Fiji.

It is more a question of is it worth it - currently it would only provide a power reduction. We'll keep this thread updated, though. Tahiti will be provided, but don't count on any hardcore speed improvements. Unless some magic happens.

To all those who've sent PM's - sorry for the delay, I will get to all of you today!

Hey, have you published the modified code publicly anywhere yet?(not for the kernel ofc)

sometimes it is usefull to browse the github repo of a dev ....

My Sapphire 290x 1100/1250 (you have 1100/1500 on your rig) is doing 31.2mhs with claymore in eth only mode.
What is the reason to buy your kernel which is slower?

Mine does 32 - 33MH/s at 1100/1500 (same speed at 1250, last I checked) now. Also, about 5% power reduction.

This is without a modded BIOS, as well - I assume you're using one with Claymore's?

Ok. that changes a lot, I've read from text description on you screenshot.
I'm using The Stilt bios now but as far as I remember it doesn't change eth speed.

Yeah, I need to update this OP with that info.
