Maybe we should have a "Post your Ignore list" thread.
I know there was a thread... having trouble finding it, though. I tried selling mine at one point... Cheesy

How would you feel if the situation was reversed and Bitcoin was a largely female dominated space? Imagine going to a conference or participating in a forum where 97% of the other guests are all women and you as a male are in the minority there.

I'll be 100% honest with you here, I would be extremely surprised and confused. I would think, hmm.. this is a revolutionary technology here that has the potential to change the world, it's highly technical, and there's a lot of potential for making money, so where are the men?? It would make no sense to me at all if women were the majority embracing bitcoin. I would love it though... I would love going to events with mostly women participants, maybe i'll find a girlfriend with similar interests, who knows.

Sure, some guys might think they can handle that but then mix in an undercurrent hostile feminism combined with anti-male sentiment and nobody taking you seriously because of your gender - you start to get an idea of how some women might feel in an environment like that to the point of giving up and leaving entirely.

Fortunately it's usually not that bad but all it does take is just a couple of bad actors to give the whole Bitcoin movement a negative reputation for women. Bitcoin is meant to be all inclusive - not just a boy's club.

At the end of the day, the few women that are genuinely into Bitcoin right now need to be treated as equal peers and given the same respect as any other member of the community. If anything they should be recognized as our best ambassadors for moving ahead and helping Bitcoin to get greater acceptance and credibility in the wider community - regardless of gender.

That just my 2 Satoshi's worth here...

Sorry buddy we're just having some fun here.. you're the one pushing the gender gap even further saying shit like "they should be recognized as our best ambassadors". If you want equality don't put a gender on a pedestal. Acting hostile toward females is one extreme, but you're on the other extreme. It should not make any difference if bitcoin owners are male or female. Naturally there are more males right now because we're still no where near mass adoption and the community is mostly filled with tech nerds, but that will definitely change. Just look at bitcoin for what it is and ignore the users, it is a technology that WILL benefit them in many ways.. why would females not use it just because of random offensive comments on the internet? Women aren't that childish and stupid. And this place does not represent the entire bitcoin community so shut up and stop crying.

Funny how women want equal pay yet we don't see nearly 50% of Bitcoin members being women, e.g. if it wasn't for the brave men taking the risk as early adopters humanity wouldn't enjoy the wonderful gift which is Bitcoin.

Plus you could look outside the window and see that every brick is there because a man put it there. Just being a realist.

They're just seeking attention. Remember in grade school when boys would pull on the girls ponytails? Same principle.

Yeah make sense... Considering most people in this thread have gfs and some are even married.

Even my gf is laughing at this thread.

Making claims on the internet doesn't make them true. You often seem to be making outlandish statements which are backed up with zero evidence, such as this:

Also I hung out with some of the brightest people in the world,
and let me tell you, they act just like you and me. They say the same things, they tell the same jokes.

I wasn't talking about you or people who are just laughing at the thread, don't be so defensive.

Though your contention that men in relationships no longer seek attention from the opposite sex is beyond ridiculous.

I would like to ask a question to women on this thread.

Do you believe the 'traditional' role of womanhood is unsuited for a modern female? What do you define as 'strength' and 'dignity' as a woman?

One caveat: Being mouthy =/= standing up for yourself. This applies to all peoples, regardless of gender.

I would like an honest, sincere response. Thank you.
