Once after the T20 series between Sri Lanka Women's team and England women's now the 3 match ODI series have begun. Earlier Sri Lanka won the T20 series 2-1. For mens cricket Sri Lanka has a pretty good team and can compete with other big teams but for women cricket I don't really follow it and from reading some of the feedback in this thread I am interested in also following women T20 and ODI cricket.
I watched a little of Sri Lanka match when they went to England for the ODI series at the beginning of September but there the Sri Lankan team didn't really seem to play well and indeed England dominated in the last match.

But to be honest when you watch a cricket game in the T20 or ODI series it tends to be more enjoyable when it comes to the mens team because there are quite nimble and fast runs and even the ball is always struck in a strong condition.

It is very interesting as South Africa needs to open its winning to have the possibility of winning the series, if not the series goes into the hands of Australia.

Just think about the odds if you could predict that Sri Lanka of all women's team would defeat England when they are touring England, i never expected that and placed a bet on the first match and England won easily but then the next match, i put the match in a parlay and lost my bet and hence did not want to place a bet after that and surprise, Sri Lanka won the third match and the series Shocked

Doubt that they could replicate the same performance in the longer format but it should be the upset of the season.

The South African women's team seems to be going in the same direction as of their men's team. This is concerning, because for a long time South Africa used to be the powerhouse of women's cricket. And this was a 3-match T20I series, which was swept by Pakistan by a margin of 3-0. Results were completely unexpected for South Africa. Now they have the 3-match ODI series remaining and it needs to be seen whether there will be an improvement in their performance.

After having won the first two T20 matches, they have again started strongly in this match and have scored 90 for one wicket down.
Look like they are looking for a clean sweep in this series.

This series can be a confidence booster for the Pakistan girls and it will help them to progress as a women's cricket team in the international arena. Currently, women's cricket is dominated by England and Indian girls. Other teams need to play better cricket in order to give those giant teams a big competition.
