West Indies women have performed pretty well. And I believe they are improving. The results indicate that they are trying to improve. I do not know what the situation in the cricket world is. Pakistan tried but their luck was not really on their side otherwise they could have won the match much earlier. Uganda Women all contributed to maintain the run rate and win the match against Vanuatu Women. While Vanuatu Women first two players played a good innings the rest of the team scored just one or two runs and then got out. The 2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier is scheduled to start this week. Two of the top teams will qualify for the 2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup (to be held in Bangladesh). There are a total of 10 teams participating in the qualifier tournament, including Ireland, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. And in all probability two out of these teams will qualify for the main tournament. Apart from these three teams, others with a good chance are Scotland, Netherlands and Thailand. The tournament is being hosted by United Arab Emirates, so they also obviously have an advantage.

Sri Lanka women's team won by 6 wickets against South Africa. Chamari Athapaththu's great performance reminded me of Maxwell in the 2023 World Cup. Maxwell played a devastating innings against Afghanistan in that match as Australia won by defeating Afghanistan.
