I placed an order in the store, but when I was redirected to bitpay, it just returned nginx: 502 Bad Gateway.

My order now shows its status "on hold", and I have no Bitcoin address to pay to.

does the "Complete BitBurner Module with attached heat-sink" come with power-cord? can it direct use power from the wall plug? or must through pc those kind of powersupply?

and also does that mean the 10chip or 20chip single board, will not come with Cooling fan & mounting brackets?

Hi burnin,

any chance of getting 1 fan per board? Maybe add it as an extra accessory to select from?

Maybe add PCIe splitters and USB cables to the accessories as well?

Awesome work on the board design and website!!!

Cheers.

Edit: What if I was to combine the "BitBurner without Heatsink" and the "Thermal Solution for BitBurner Boards". Would that include everything needed for a completed mining cluster apart from the stacking cable just like the complete BitBurner but with the extra fans?

So it's adding VAT to US orders as well?

its what looks like a bug on the first page, once you select shipping and location and go to the final page u see the vat is removed, but your still paying anywhere from 50 to 100 euro to get something shipped to the US, which seems quite expensive to me..

What should I do about the VAT issue?  Wait until it's fixed, or order selecting bank transfer to delay payment? I wanted to pay with Paypal.

I'm concious of finding myself at the back of the queue.

Best would be to place an order, then contact burnin and tell him your VAT number, he can deduct the VAT amount from your order manually:

Regarding the VAT Bug:

Seems like the total gets calculated correctly, but the single items keep the VAT.

ie.:

2x BitBurner XX     EUR 249,90,-
1x Can bus Cable   EUR 9,52,-
-------------------------------
Total                   EUR 218,-

Might have been just me though.

Found a bug

http://isvat.appspot.com/EL/123456789/ RETURNS TRUE (using the right number)

http://isvat.appspot.com/GR/123456789/ RETURNS FALSE,

although the page states Greece as GR, not as EL which is in the European VAT SYSTEM

So perhaps Burnin has to change its code for Greece from GR to EL

You can check using the page: VIES VAT number validation
http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/vatResponse.html?locale=en

Try the VAT of the Greek public Electricity producer: 090000045

EL is everywhere, not GR.

Same here for Greece.

Tried both formats EL123456789 and 123456789 (actual number differs).
Still charging VAT.

My VAT is registered with VIES.

Now what?

All of those having their VAT number not accepted, the website is using this API to check your VAT:
http://isvat.appspot.com/

Especially take a look at the section "ISO 3166 EU Country Codes".

Returns true for me

Same for me, Austria reporting in!

Austria should be working, did you follow this format? ATU12345678

Yes, also tried it with a different browser to no avail. (Chrome & Firefox)

Checked the API mentioned above ^

It recognized my UID as true (in the format: isvat.appspot.com/AT/U12345678 )

no degradation
...
As of the last time I checked, BitPay asks payment in BTC at a rate of 66.783 Euro/1BTC, versus the current price of 73 Euro/1BTC. 73/66.783 = 1.093. I feel that it is unfair to ask bitcoin customers to pay a 9.3% premium for paying in bitcoin, especially when it was not stated beforehand.  Had I known this to be the case, I would have used PayPal.
...
Rebuy the BTCs on Bitstamp for 66.74 € atm. Sell them on Mt. Gox for 72.10 € wait some months for your withdrawal. Undecided Just want to say the Mt.Gox is not real atm, BitPay's rate seems to be legit.

I really hate to bring this up, but I don't really have a choice.

When it was originally stated that bitcoins would be used, it was not specified that payment would be taken through BitPay. While I don't have anything against them as a service, their rates are not reflective of the current exchange rate.

2090Euro / 66.783 (bitpay) = 31.295389545
2090Euro / 73 (mtgox) = 28.630136986
Difference is 2.665252559 BTC × 73 = 194.563436807 Euro

I'm not trying to be difficult, but this would put me in a difficult position. Maybe others have a helpful insight to provide. I know that this was not intentionally done, and that BitPay offers burnin a convenient conversion to fiat. I hope that there is someway to resolve this where everyone is happy. Am I completely off-base here?

MTGox is always ahead of all others in price. Most other exchanges dont see it this way: http://www.bitcoincharts.com/markets/currency/USD.html

EDIT:
I pasted my VAT ID into field. When I choose country Poland to ship to, it excludes VAT from final price. When I choose United Kingdom, VAT is included! UK is not in Europe?  Wink
It is not! It's an island! Wink

Sigh, another bug i suspect...

ok, burnin, I paid in full for my first order of 23 boards, VAT included. My order is still processing. I am not from EU, but I want my order to be shipped to my friend's address in Germany. Once the boards are finished, I will pick them up.

how will I get the refund? will you send me the necessary papers for that, or what? I am planning to make more orders, can you give me some burnin credits or something? Cheesy

we are talking about 500 euros.
