Bitcoin doubling and cloud mining (Hash ocean) was my worst decision because I can see the warning almost every where, shouting Hash ocean is a scam but the reward was too attractive not to give it a try. I glad I'm not completely burnt because that could have ended my experiment with Bitcoin

This is the main problem of everything. You know that it is a scam, but you still support them to continue their practises to scam other people. If you don't feed them, then they will slowly dry out. Let it be a lesson for you and others.

Exactly, people keep on entertaining those sites even after knowing that there is no guarantee  that they will be making profits from it and those sites keeps on operating and scamming people.
The only thing that HashOcean got more than a year because of its low interest rate at the same time the number of members that believed in it and promoted it online. A perfect recipe that let HashOcean lived long. But yes you really need to background check everything in the internet so that you wouldn't be fooled.

Its difficult to check the background of any site that is operating online as we can never come to any perfect conclusion that whether its an genuine or a fake site.

that is true but also you can come to some sort of conclusion, for example you can weight the options or pros and cons and then decide. i have seen so many people who just go in with their money without even searching about the site's history to see if it is fake or not.

Most of the people are putting their money in those sites blindly hoping that they will make profits in quick time, but generally they forget the fact is that there is nothing like quick money.

There are various ways, but the most obvious one is the rewards that they are offering. Scam sites mostly want to collect as many coins as possible in a very short time. That's why they try to attract people with above average interest rates/rewards. You should also check whether or not they are a registered company. Look at whois data of their domain, etc.

When i started bitcoins it has no value and it seemed to be a very limited audience thing and I saw no benefit to it, lol.  I am not sure how many, but each time I simply never touched the wallets again and at some point those PC's got a new copy of Windows I am sure.

Fortunately I didn't have any bad episode, wise investments done by me for now.

Be prepared, it will happen to you in the future.

Lol if he have spend enough time in reading the experiences of people on this forum then I am sure he will be alert about the scams and ponzi sites that are operating around.
The problem with many people here, they are not never remembering and applying others experience in their real time situations when they are encountering. I am the bad example for that, even I have read many gamblers experience about gambling and ponzi schemes, I have lost more than 0.1 BTC in many of similar sites, out of greedy.

I am sure that the worst choice was not following through on the early days.  I remember at least twice running into Bitcoin in the very beginning.  I also remember mining on a PC and having gotten some, although I can't remember how many.  Both times I left it behind

Actually my worst decision about Bitcoin was to sell too early. I started to mine Bitcoin back in 2011. When the price was around $30 I thought it was too overpriced and I sold most of my mined coins. If I would have held it two more years then I would have gotten the price which was worth more than 30th times higher.

It was an amazing experience and cannot be forgotten. But the step you are correct ", it's just that fate has not siding with you so that you don't get to enjoy it now. so, continue to strive to realize the dream and our ideals, because only hard work and perseverance with a prayer that can give strength and also the success of the
The desire never ends and we never know whats the best price to sell, like some of my friends say 600$ is overpriced and I should sell it while my personal feeling say bitcoins will go over 1000$ very soon and even at 1000$ I will not sell more than 33% of my shares in bitcoins.

The worst decision I is not buying when the price is still low bitcoin
The price fluctuates all the time, and you can always rebuy at a later time when the price goes back down. That's what trading is about Smiley
Missing an opportunity pains a lot, I agree. But I feel it can not be a worst decision. At the same time if you buy and bitcoins go very huge price levels then you will get chances to forget about what you are thing right now as worst decision.

Yeah that is actually true, it is never late, as someone regrets now for not buying when the price was $200 so someone would regret again later when the price is higher that why they did not buy when the price was $620 and now it is way higher then that.

My worst mistake was gambling away 0.4 Bitcoin on dice. Not near as bad as yours OP. But it is still a loss and I was pretty unhappy when I lost it.
I feel you, its depressing when you lost your money either small or big amount. before, i always join in hyip investments and lose my money i think thats one of my worst decision. joining in hyip's are really not profitable.

Hi, all. I know that everyone here would have made some terrible decision about BTC. So I was wondering, what is the worst decision that you have ever made.

Personally, my worst decision was gambling 1.3 BTC in dice, just yesterday. Smiley

We have the scenario I tried to invest in a gambling and I lost bitcoin into it. I feel regret its true that repentance always comes at the last, so I won't do it again.

We all have committed that mistake of putting money in gambling and loosing straightaway and I have repeated the same mistake again and again hoping to recover my losses but all the time I was on loosing end.

The worst decision I is not buying when the price is still low bitcoin

Very general answer and I think that's what most people will experience too because that's probably the biggest and easiest mistake to make. I also didn't buy when prices were low cause I didn't know enough about bitcoin so my mistake would be to not read up about new technologies cause that couldve made me hell a lot of money.
I also realize it, and that is my worst mistake in my life because I missed the chance for becoming a millionaire for instantly just buying a bitcoin at their price is not more than $1... but that is normally caused at the time I just a teenager and not updating about the development of the technology.

Yes and that stage we never thought that bitcoin will be this strong and holding such an good price, if we would have bought in bulk at that time then at a moment we would be enjoying luxury life.
