What's the worst mistake you did with your Bitcoin? It can vary from starting to use Bitcoin to buying dumped Altcoin to gambling.

The worst mistake I made with Bitcoin is... Buying cloud mining hashrate. I bought 0.02 GH/s CEX.IO hash rate voucher at SEOClerk for $2 USD - or maybe $1 USD. I thought with 0.02 GH/s, I would be making a profit in half a year.. And I was wrong.

Well, I bought using the free five dollars coupon. So that does not count as making a mistake with Bitcoin. However, the slow profit lead me to buying hashing power from CEX.IO and later on.. ZeusHash using the Bitcoin I earned from signature campaign.. Again, I thought I would be making profit in a few months. Till today, I'm sure I have not make any profit from both the company yet. CEX.IO stopped their cloud mining operation and.. ZeusHash.. What do you think.?

my worst mistake with gambling was when i created a second bitcoin account and by mistake i sent my 0,04 bitcoin to different account, i don't know which account it was but i never saw that money again, it was lesion for whole life too, now  i double check both addresses to be sure i will send bitcoins  to the correct one

I was knew about gambling and investing when I known bitcoin. I've got attracted by investment site name golden cow so their site was unique so I decided to invest 0.05
At the first 4 days, they paid but something wrong when it reached 5 days. When I contact the support, he said that he did not involve into golden cow project anymore. I must bear the risk of scamming !

Scammers will be everywhere but the best why to avoid it - paying attention. Also need to read different pages about it and you will be saved.
My mistake was that I sold it too early and late I realized that I can get some more money later if I was waiting a longer time, because the price was rising in the future.
Gambling is also a big mistake because the money that you lose with gambling is all wasted and gone and you can help that and that is the baddest thing of gambling.

My worst mistake was undoubtedly to join this great alt economy too late, when price has achieved the $400 and it is too expensive to buy bitcoins with my own money, despite I had the opportunity to join this ecosystem early, several years ago but I missed that opportunity.
Yeah me too felt a lot that I had missed the great opportunity of working with bitcoin several years before. Even more people are there who were not aware of bitcoin even now, comparing with them I feel I am lucky.

#1. Not purchasing/mining when it first started.

#2. Overbought by 7 BTC when index was around $750. Going to sleep, waking up at $650 index. Not wanting to take a loss, and holding. It has not come back up since Tongue

#3. Sent about $10k worth of coins to a dormant address by accident. Panicked for about 8 hours thinking I sent them to an old client, or random person. Luckily they showed up in an account I owned. Now that I own a Trezor, almost impossible to make that mistake ever again.

$400 isn't that much money. You still have an opportunity to work as much as possible to grab your very first Bitcoin.

I'm sure they have multiple accounts they can use to still give negative ratings or positive ones.
They actually have people on a default trust list where if you give a rating to somebody and you're not even in that list, it will not impact their rating but the information they've left is still available to the public.
It doesn't matter to me. The information left is still around and not exclusive from the public. With that being said, it's still possible to be slandered even by somebody with no default trust badge.

My worst mistake was giving my money to some scheme that I hadn't even heard of.
yeah, its better not to invest anywhere that is offering big returns because the risks of turning it to a scam are really high then and theres no need to take that much risk

i think that my worst mistake was when i decided to send my money to other person as a loan without any of his details, of course he didnt return anything to me, though that was just 13 dollars
I try not to, but a lot of other people go around glorifying these same exact schemes trying to make me think they're promising. Then again, they didn't try. They full blown succeeded.
Don't worry. A lot of these schemes actually don't last very long, and they definitely get reported. Most of the time, it's things like this that keep people away from Bitcoin.
Yeah. Seriously. It's a complete epidemic of issues where you don't know who to trust! No wonder Bitcoin is still a lousy $400 after almost a decade of being available to the public.
Well, we're cracking down on more and more schemes. The trust rating option actually gives people the opportunity to flag somebody you don't trust.
Mhm...about that...

That trust rank system can easily be occupied to ultimately do some abusive and unjustified marks for the simple fact that you dislike someone personally. I may or may not have seen it, but I definitely know what I'm discussing in this specific position here. I can already Invision it as an abuse of power, and everyone giving negative ratings or positive ratings to people inside or out of a clique.
Most of the time, people would get kicked off of that trust loop for abusing it so don't worry too much about that.

Each time a ponzi come to line, it will definitely scam you, the reasons for their scam is two, one; they lose some amount of their money and they come to know that they are now unable to earn from their so they run away carrying your money, and the second reason is that; when they see a large pile of people's money they become greedy and run away to find a way to rich in a second.

Investing in ponzi schemes was the worst mistake made by me at the primary stage as I was not aware what is genuine and  what is fake as I was totally new to bitcoin.
