This year I practically did not influence the movement of my coins, and in relation to bitcoin, even a little bit increased, I expect the General rise of the market, and everything will be fine.
For me, these last months have also been terrible. I watched my accumulations melt away and tried to be calm. When I urgently needed money, I sold my ETH at the lowest price, and what I see in a week - it starts to slowly grow in value. And this is not only relative to ETH, but also with ROX, but the result is even more pitiable - it has grown threefold. It upset me.
So after the bearish market came
I've been holding more alts than BTC/ETH
Coins like COSS, NANO, CND and etc
I been making loss and missing out most of the pump because i sell these coins and convert it to ICON (ICX) which i waited it to be move
So basically after everytime i sold my specific alts, few days later it went 100%
NANO, bought at 0.011 ETH i sold at 0.005 ETH, 7 days later, it went up to 0.013 ETH. Hold for almost 6 months and sold, it went up after 7 days.
Same to NANO, COSS
Everytime i sold, within days to 1/2 week
It pumped like crazy
Just like COSS
Sold off 100k at 28 ETH last week
Today 100k COSS priced at 53 ETH

It's amazing that you are really unlucky with selling your coins, but, on the other hand, we can never know what price will rise for a coin and instead of rising it can also drop significantly, so in any case you need to move on and I am sure that in the future you will definitely get lucky.I've been holding more alts than BTC/ETH

i believe its not only you who been through loss in 2018. In this year investing in crypto is really bad for short term but i do thing in lonf term its very nice cause we could get a good price of the coin that we think good. I believe in 2022 crypto will be common thing and you wont regret to hold your coin until that year. I've been holding more alts than BTC/ETH

In 2018 has been the worst year so far for crypto dealers but we must realize this can happen in the crypto world. Price is very low at this time don't sell with this poor price just be patient and take more time. At the end of the year, the market could turn back.
I do not think that this is your fault, because you, I am sure, are an experienced person, and were guided by something before making a decision, which means that everything that happens on the market is a manipulation that is extremely difficult to predict.
You need calm so you don't panic at the current prices, and I don't think you should see market prices too often if it pisses you off.
that's why you have to wait, what is the reason you sell at a cheaper price? do you expect to get a profit after exchanging it for another coin? in my opinion In this condition, you have to wait because even exchanged for other coins, in my opinion, the price will eventually drop again unless later when the market has recovered

When you are planning to sell, let other know so that they can invest in that coin. As the coin is bound to go up after you sell
. But yes, that happens with everyone and when the time is going bad, everything turns out bad. It happened with me with waves, i bought them at 6 usd and the price fell. So its the same story with all the traders. 
I also have the same experience, I had coins that I sold in 1800 sat and now in two weeks it is at 12,000 Satoshi. And I had many such deals, but not with such a loss.
This year, in spite of these failed transactions, considered good for me because achievements are predominant.

Yes, this year is really bad. Almost traders as well as investors are losing. I'm an investor and I also lost around 40% of my money. I don't think the market can recover by the end of this year. Hopefully the next year will be better.

You are not alone. I have been to similar situation many times before. It does not really feel good losing out after many months of holding. You just have to laugh it off and move on to the next trade.
