For someone, Yahoo is still good service and useful for working, as me Grin.
I am a loyal user of Yahoo mail, I do not use gmail for working because it has many limits for those who want to manage many mail accounts for working in mmo.

Yahoo was the first (?) search engine at the time when Internet started.  It was the pioneer in its field.  In the late 90's its market cap reached to a high closed to $120B.   Three and a half years after Yahoo started, Google came out and gradually took away market share from Yahoo.

After 22 years, Verizon bought it for $4.8B.  Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future and got beat up by new competitions?

What do you think?  Please provide your reason(s) to support your view.
yahoo still existing maybe just not like yesterday but still there
,and yahoo and bitcoin is two different thing, bitcoin is a CURRENCY itself
that can generates its own income.while yahoo is a site that needed

may be,
but not in the 5 years ahead, I think
the competitors likely are not strong as strong BitCoin yet.
anything can happen in the future...

there's no way that's gon happen I mean who has the cash to buy the whole network, or which other coin can meet up with the competition
Because bitcoin and yahoo are two different things. Bitcoin is being used by its holders for profit while yahoo is one of the many networks out there that wont affect its users whether they exist or disappear. In short bitcoin and yahoo have different uses though, the fate of yahoo if this is what you meant can also be the fate of bitcoin. We will never know if bitcoin will be overpowered by any promising coin in the future.

Anything is possible, we cant write the possibility of bitcoin been dethroned.
But what separates how yahoo and bitcoin is run is decentralisation, bitcoins power lies in its users, us and if they/we ever decide the end of bitcoin is here... it will happen, but fortunately bitcoin just started to get more attention from all parts of the world which means its far from extinction.

Nicely the very best want to do if you want somebody to purchase bitcoin just tell them that bitcoin will be well-liked in the future and that you can earn a lot of money from it now.And i believe that bitcoin can become through the roof in worth later on so individuals ought to invest in it.
A century is a very long period. Honestly, it is very insane to give any statement with confidence about anything for such a long time. Let's get a little bit real. Can anyone of US claim that we are going to survive or this planet of ours is going to live for the coming hundred years? No we can't.  Bitcoin will stay at the top of Crypto coins forever and by forever I mean to say as long as we, humans are going to live.

Well being bought by some company or ICO's I doubt because the first bitcoin is a different story from Yahoo where is own and controlled by its shareholders and Directors. While Bitcoin is currency in the digital world which is not owned by someone or anyone because it is decentralized only its capable developer could rule over it or control it, while it is possible it might go down because anything can happen in the future so many possibilities to guess, in which the fall down might like be the price of bitcoin turning to zero or no other firms are accepting in cashing out such as that could occur in bitcoin which we can never predict.

I don't think so. Bitcoins have their own developers and it is powered by the blockchain. With that, bitcoins are susceptible from hacks unlike Yahoo, that was dependent to a single servers that was easily attacked by hackers. Thus, turning off the interest of investors. Bitcoins have a lot of interest coming from these investors that's why they're naking sure that before they invest, they already know that bitcoins won't be the same as Yahoo.

As long as Bitcoin has the community support coupled with a strong set of developers and manages to find a good scaling solution that doesn't take too much time to implement, it's going to continue being the #1 crypto and dominate a big part of the market cap.

I know these are hard conditions to meet, but i believe the people involved are more than capable of pulling it off.

Whatever may happen in this world, we must analyze ourselves when to start and when to stop. Same with bitcoin, as long as the community continues to support bitcoin development, so long as bitcoin will continue to exist.

It would be a bold statement if we are calling Bitcoin immortal but sadly, Bitcoin will not be a dominant cryptocurrency all the time in next 100 years. There are some good alt-coins but their concept is different from the concept of Bitcoin, ETH supports smart contracts so I do see a dominance in A.I and I.O.T sector to automate the payment process whereas XRP is a Banker's Bitcoin where the company is looking to keep it stable for a long time. However, considering the current scenario, I don't see Bitcoin's death in at least 10 to 20 years from now.
I agree with you. Bitcoin will have its own time in the future because we all know that as the time goes by, there is a lot of altcoins or other types of coin that is like the mushroom that keeps on popping up. Bitcoin will be dominant for maybe the few incoming years but overall, it is just temporary and we can't still predict the future of it for about 50 years from now.

I think it will not happen to bitcoin although many says that it is not centralized and government is against to it many people  believe that it will take more year to make it happened.

I think bitcoin can easily be replaced one day but until people get used to cryptocurrencies it's good for the time being.

It can happen with bitcoin, everything that can not be done in this world. We never know what will happen in the future, maybe Ethereum can be number one and go forward with bitcoin.

If Bitcoin developers cannot solve what the community is asking to be solved, same thing will happen,
Bitcoin developers must continue to adapt more to keep the demands.
As a community our role is to promote bitcoin and to carefully address some main problems regarding our transactions.
We all need some competitions to grow more but only if we adapt faster.
