For now i dont think i will ever buy or even use a bitcoin wallet at all. That is only because there are allot of people who are just after your coins. And that is so sad the coin is totally not secured at all so dont think i will use wallets.
You have no idea what youre talking about i see.  Have fun spamming FUD for a few cents of btc which i will assume you store on an online wallet before cashing out.

Sigh.

Im considering trezor at this point.  The price and the fact they accept btc are factors.

If you don't feel safe with wallets, and don't using wallet don't even use in future, then what are you doing to safe and store your coins right now? I can see you are in a signature campaign. then how you'll get paid?
do you immediately cash out your btc when you get payment from anywhere?
let me say that this is not a cool idea. bitcoin is not safe 100% but hacking margin is not that high as you thinking.
I think you don't know much about halving and it's benefit.. you should store your coins for halving and take advantage of it..
stealing btc is happening with 2 person out of 1000, it is not that unsafe. and if you use the right security options and use right wallet you'll be safe for sure.

I think it is still safe to use bitcoin wallets, unless you are going to show publicly how much your wallet has. Of course the security measures
depends on how you are going to hide your identity and your bitcoin wallet, it's our own role for keeping it safe, and with block chain I think it is safe, that's why I don't prefer to buy hardware wallet.

Hi all,

I am doing some research for a Bitcoin company that is interested with developing a hardware wallet to see if it has a viable market. Trezor has some traction, but perhaps only in the existing Bitcoin community. With things like Multi-sig popping up everywhere, do you think this negates some of the pressing need for Hardware wallets? Interested to hear your thoughts.

Nope, or at least not yet.
For my current amounts and needs, current software wallets and paper wallets are fine.

I would definitely buy a hardware wallet, a cheaper one like the Ledger HW1 and if I am comfortable with it will then go and pass to the Trezor which is more well known, however the Ledger does its job pretty neatly.
When I will reach over 5 Bitcoins I will buy one, its only 60 USD including shipping everywhere in europe from Ebay. It costs more if you buy it from the official website.

However with a lot of multisignature wallets coming out as you say, the market share of these kind of wallets will go down, and it does not look like a healthy market where to invest and creating a new one, unless you overtake all the competition (almost impossible in my opinion that you do that).

perhaps bluetooth?

Most important is plug and play on any computer without user action like installing drivers, if it can be done with bluetooth, why not, but USB has every computer and bluetooth only some computers.

The most important function is security though
agreed, bluetooth might not on every computer, but i think bluetooth have good function for private file transafer, imagine if we can share file from bluetooth without switch internet connection on. yes i agree, the most important is security function, but also the price will matter for some people, its must be equal with security, good price should mean good security.

I would not really... I would just use a paper wallet or a offline USB stick instead of using those complicated hardware wallets. IMO there is seriously no point other than to show off with them.

Paper wallets and physical bitcoins should be the most secure, since they are completely offline before you redeem them.

Actually ledger wallets are not so expensive,35$ is a very good price for what they offer i have one and i am very satisfied.
Online wallets are good for payments etc. but i would never trust them my bitcoins.

I'm already having a wallet and I think a paper wallet is better due to this I would not buy a hardware wallet.
I think its not worth it at the moment.

It depends on how you are going to use, there are certain people prefer to use hardware wallet because they see it as a good secured storage
for their bitcoins. But also there are people doesn't really care at all regarding this matter when there is money involve.
Only few people wants to try using it.

Hardware wallets, for me, are the safest and securest way to keep your bitcoin. You can bring it anywhere you want. The only thing to keep in my mind is to not to lose it.

You can check hardware wallets I recommend here: http://www.bitcoineverything.net/the-most-definitive-post-on-bitcoin-wallets/

hm... As for me, i will say no to hardware wallet. I do have cheap android phone which i make it as my cold store for my bitcoin wallet. As for the hot one... the free wallet should be enough. I usually hot store my bitcoin in my exchanger wallet.

Yeah2... not so much there..

If they make hardware wallet like credit card or something, i will consider it. The only thing that hard for me to forget where i put it is my wallet. Seem ppl talk a lot about Trezor but idk. Kinda pricey.

But i think we already have something like debit card for bitcoin or something. do they?

I wish trezor had an android app and came with an otg cable
yes its will be better and great if Trezor as best bitcoin hardware wallet can operate on android operating system, and have OTG cable, and then they should put IoS on list,so people will more easy to access trezor wherever they go.

I haven't heard about that trezor, but base on your feedback on it, maybe it is the best bitcoin hardware wallet. But if it will be put on the an android
app, maybe it is now like an online wallet address, so no difference between online wallet address, this is just only my thought.

Ledger wallet also offers the same otg cable as well.

So you can sync and do the same once you dl their app. All the difference is peoples experience on the cost really just my view.

I must say if this would happen I would buy it, it would be so nice if it has this, maybe in the future they will add it you never know it of course.
