After re-eading the previous comments, it becomes obvious that the vast majority are not convinced of the idea of donating in a casino.
Therefore, if you/any other casino are seriously considering launching a fund raising campaign, then you should do something about this. For example, you can offer adding 10% to each amount donated or make a challenge that if a certain amount is collected, the casino will double it. Besides granting each one of your users who donates some special privileges.

Otherwise, it will be just a waste of time and it may even have a negative impact on the casino's reputation.

I agree with that perspective. Most players don't want to donate directly to casino.
So yeah, if the casino decides to hold some charity campaign, they need to offer some bonus or rewards.
Most gamblers prefer to donate directly to charity organizations as they are thinking that they are already donating just by mere playing on the casino.
So those gambling sites here that are planning to run some type of charity already know the answer.

Hi guys Smiley

Even though many countries have reopened borders and people are getting back to work in the offices, the complicated time isn’t over yet and the risk is still high.
There are several organizations where you can make your efforts by donating.
We here at Bitcasino have teamed up with some of the charity giants and in collaboration have run loyalty points donation campaign and charity poker tournaments.

So my question here is, if you are a person who is willing to donate, what choice would you rather use:

  • Participate in special charity programs or
  • Have a permanent possibility to donate straight on the casino site?

Cheers,
Karl

Hey Karl,

thats an interesting question. I love to gamble and have been to a few a casinos - the classy and posh atmosphere is something special - even if you just go and visit casinos.

Most importantly it would be good to know where the money would go into - like helping out people in need.

A permanent possibility would definitely attract people but I think having special events is just more appealing. Like you mentioned having a poker tournament where the winnings will go to charity sounds awesome. But it doesn't have to be so high maintenance like a poker tournaments, a smaller lottery or betting game would already be awesome.

Sport events are coming slowly back only after corona, so it would be nice to bet on some events where people pay donate for there tickets, and 90% of the winnings will go to charity.

In my case, I think I would love to participate in special charity programs. However, I would also donate to a casino or a group of people as long as they can be transparent to where will the money will go, a group who can show documents that the money I donated is really well spent. That's my condition before donating, I would like to see if the beneficiaries really deserve the money I will be donating. I'll donate in anyway I can as long as I trust the group or company.

I think that having the permanent possibility to donate through the casino website would definitely be my choice... and I think it would get a lot more donations as people would donate when they choose to, it is easy and quick, and the probability is that they do so while they are in a good mood... organized tournaments would require a lot more scheduling and effort from the donners...

I would choose on directly to participate on charity programs but if a casino does have their own dedicated charity program to donate for needy people then it would be also a valid option to take
but this are only for trust-able casinos out there.

Just like on what happened in Freebitco (https://news.bitcoin.com/freebitco-in-gaming-launches-covid-19-relief-fund/)  where they do allocate a portion of house edge for donation for healthcare efforts.

You can actually do such stuff yet people do have their own will on which one they would gonna choose.

Actually here, no need to donate it to some charity or organization since if we have free time, we can do it on our own.

A few weeks ago, we started a small food program for some frontliners here.

But if ever, for let's say, I will donate to the casino literally, maybe much better if the casino itself will donate and that will come from the earnings they will get from their users. Like what freebitco.in did. They encouraged gamblers to play at a given time and some proceeds of it will be used on donation. This give a gambler an opportunity to help while still have a chance to have profits in return.

Plenty of people do donate all the time.

Check out the crypto.games chatbox, you will find that big winners often send tips and lottery tickets to other users. This is a kind of donation.

That said, I don't think people would be inclined to donate to charity while playing at a casino. They're there to make profit, and are only likely to donate to one another or the dealer or something through a tip.

The feature will almost certainly fail to generate traction.

Its the casino that should donate more to the organizations who help charity works though. They make more money than anyone else in any business today since online casinos are becoming popular everywhere. Red cross I believe accepts BTC too so that's a good thing. Whether you make it to the point where your casinos will donate to advertise or not, it's your call. Publicity is publicity no matter what and any organization aims to help who are in need are always open to accept assistance.

Yes, i've seen other platforms do the same I don't know how much they managed to raise for charity but I think it's still a good idea since it's another opportunity to donate while spending your money in a casino. Others might not join which is fine but i'm sure there's enough players in the casino that would join regardless. I like both of them but I think it depends on the person because there are some that don't mind gambling for a good cause.

I'd rather play and lose in a casino rather than donate it in cash without having to experience something in return. I'd rather donate my money into useful causes such as UNICEF and other organizations that are directly helping the needy while staying as a non-profit organizations. Casinos don't need donations as long as they have patrons willing to play and lose money in their platform. One high roller's loss in the casino and it's already a huge profit for the establishment. They can stay afloat no matter what so long as there are degenerates willing to risk more than what they can really afford.

When you win a lot you tip dealers, waitresses, and other people around, if there's a charity close you would donate, but only with a big win. And that's for ground based casinos, with online gambling it's a big difference.
I like to help others and I sent some chips to some people on this forum who do that, after some big wins. It's not strange for me to that, but all that depends will I win something big or not. Probably others feel the same way, many people have their own problems and every penny is important, something to give, something for you and to stay enough for next gambling round.
Anyway donating to charities shouldn't be obligation for gamblers, we pay taxes, casinos are paying taxes, and it's on government social officials to do something about people who need help, not on gamblers.
I think gambling casino doesn't really need donations as they are big businesses surely there are a lot of investors that that is investing in the business. This kind of business is holding a big amount of money with such many employees there is no way that they are able to give wages to their employees if they don't have that funds. Personally I would never donate in a casino after just losing a lot in gambling I would rather donate to charities where there are a lot of people that really needed help like homeless people. Donating to a casino is like donating to rich people.

Both options. You should create the opportunity to donate directly to people or organizations which needed it, but also to create charity championships and so on. It's because the difference in people: for some of them it's easier just to donate, they don't want to spend another 3 hours in poker tournament just to help children, but would donate directly without no doubt. But for another part of people, there is needed some entertainment, like charity tournaments and so on.

Casinos are already rich, they can manage to implement charity by their own money.
They're earning a lot of money per day especially when they re-opened their establishments, a lot of people will go to the casino and play gambling.
As far as I understand, OP tried asking us what our opinion is about adding the option to donate money to charities inside an online casino. In other words, if you'd like to have the opportunity to donate part of your casino balance to charities at any given time. You can see that on OP's Charity Poker Tournament description:

    Quote
100% of the buy-in will go to COVID-19 relief efforts across the globe and, for extra impact, Bitcasino will add a 10,000 USD donation to the pot.

TBH, I would be pretty good with going for a charity rather than going with a casino. However, if it was the one which I used to play slots and other, I would probably share some bucks. Otherwise, I would like to donate in charity directly.

Why contribute to the casino, don't they already have a lot of funds to run the platform?
Didn't they say they are forming a team to help the needy? It's not for them to survive.

So my question here is, if you are a person who is willing to donate, what choice would you rather use:

    • Participate in special charity programs or
    • Have a permanent possibility to donate straight on the casino site?
You can create a poll just by clicking the link "post new poll" instead of "new topic" at its left. It would be more interesting to get the opinion of more people than just posters IMO.

There are now so many ways to donate to the crisis that I'm getting a little bit annoyed personally. On the one hand, I think it's good that there are such actions. On the other hand it gets annoying at some point when you feel that you are "indirectly asked" to donate on every second page or service.

Therefore I would tend towards variant 1, although I do not find it ideal either. Perhaps casinos should start events by donating a percentage of their gains for a specific period of time. Or you could award points to gamblers for a certain period of time. These points can then be redeemed for social projects and Bitcasino will then donate a specific amount for each point.

I believe it depends on the situation. For example if I have funds in the casino and win a bet I can take the profit and donate in the casino or I can also take my capital that is in the casino and donate in the casino. But if I have funds in my wallet I will look for some non-profit organization. The same applies if I have funds in my bank I will withdraw the funds that are in my bank and I will donate to people in my country. as i said it depends on the situation

donate in a casino? I want to, but it depends on the conditions...
I don't really like donations, it's not that I don't want to, it's just that my husband and my finances are not good, so I'm more concerned with kitchen finances first, maybe if I win big it will donate 5% of the winnings.

one day i heard the following phrase: "help yourself first so you can help other people"
