Not going to lie, this was probably the single most retarded thing I have seen in a long time.

There is absolutely no point in placing such a risky bet, and that is basically putting your entire life's work on the line, with a chance you would lose it all.

Ashley Revell, 32, had sold everything he had – his house, his car and even his clothes.  He placed all the money on Red at a Roulette table in the Plaza Hotel and Casino Las Vegas, aaaaand..........

Is that his wife watching ? Damn he has big balls man, all in with all his money. Luckly he win, if not maybe his wife will divorce him. I like one comment from youtube, "And then he became a gambling addict and lost all his money" haha.

This video is an example of how crazy gambling can become. His odds were stacked against. He would have absolutey nothing and he would be sleeping on the streets. I would never make a bet like this, no matter how good the odds are in your favor.
They are definetley stacked against you at any casino. If they were not, everyone would be winning and they would not cease to exist anymore as they would go bankrupt!

This is the Height of the Gambling the crazy man i ever seen till today He is the good example for "Addicted Gambler" OMG i don't have this much courage to do this type of Betting. If that ball place in Black color means a Millionaire become Slumdog in fraction of minutes right. This is the good ex for hoe people addicted for this Gambling and what all things they can do to Betting. He was lucky guy so he won the bet that's it.
I don't think this is a good example for any type of gambler.
It looks we need to motivated by this story, selling everything to gambled? No it's not good at all.
Unless if we take an example on how addicted gambler turn mad staking all they have to doubled which it's not to good to do.

This looks like more of a PR stunt than a documentary but I don't see a name of casino or hotel. PR or not I will not do this even if I know I have something coming every month like a pension. But the experience of doing this kind of a gamble is priceless.

Seeing how this was documented, recorded, a lot of people gathered and cheering, manager of the Casino present etc. I think this was some organized action and publicity stunt.
If he really sold everything he owned in life and left with only clothes on his back after losing I doubt he would even consider betting.

This is a stunt of course, a real stunt indeed however even if he sold everything he would not be as poor as homeless because this public stunt will make him shine and there will be alot of interviews coming from the media , invitation as a guest in the talkshow and all of this would get him some good amount

that is the worst things i have ever heard or seen.
i am all for taking big risks in life but there is a very big difference between a calculated risk and a dumb risk. gambling is the later. when there is a high chance of losing your whole life i say that is a dumb move.

everybody is always saying bet what you can afford to lose.

Ashley is just one of the cases which is popular and viral. There are lot of Ashley's and Bill Gates in the world of gambling who are still unappreciated (I suppose).Ashley made the most stupidest decision of his life.Ahsley is bad at managing money and probably a terrible gambler.Don't be like Ashley.

It was really a bad and wierd decision to do that.Betting selling everything you have ? What kind of gambler was he?.Maybe he won a whoppin bumper around but uf we get the things turn around for a second and think if he would have lost that one ,then?Ofcourse his situtaion would be worse then a beggar .He would be regretting  his whole life that he became a beggar having everything to get a normal life

I laughed when the pit boss said "Ashley.  I want you to take a moment and get yourself composed, and then we'll go over the rules of the game.  Are you sure you wanna make this bet of your life savings here?  I want you to know, we would never knowingly condone or accept someone making a wager of their entire life savings, but we know this is a culmination of a grand adventure for you, and hopefully the start of many more and more interesting pages."

Before I clicked on this it made me think of the off duty cop that shot himself after losing it all. Heartless pricks had the section back open within 30 minutes.
This smells more like a ploy by the casinos. Video cameras rolling smells fishy.

Risking your entire net worth and only doubling it? Absolutely no way. That's a pathetic prospect. I'd risk 5-10% for the prospect of a 20x or more gain.
