$20B valuation, no revenue, no mass adoption yet, current price "may" be priced in.

But.......

The hype is real, the facts are real (Ethereum Alliance)...
Many new Ethereum Based Projects (ICOs) that require Ethereum for funding (price pressure), POS coming soon, media attention, etc.

The chance of this "experiment" being the next Google of Cryptocurrency / real life usage is looking good so far (in terms of momentum) and if you're looking for a conservative 5x-20x play within several years this is the long term play to be.

IMO 100x-1000x from here seems rather unlikely though, so pick another coin if that is your fancy.

This is the best time to buy some Ethereum it will be equivalent to bitcoin price later maybe about 1-2 years. The fee for bitcoin makes me crazy.

What time scale are you considering is very important. If you are planing the investment for years, probably the answer is yes.

I will definitely invest some in ETHEREUM for long term and shorterm trading. As a comparison to BTC, ETH has a strong foundation in the market, even if you buy high price right now, after 5 years, if my specualtions are right, it will be closer price with BTC.
yes I think so. ethereum will be able to contest bitcoin within a cpuple of years mostly. not only that ethereum has a powerful foundation as well.

Bitcoin (and the top monetary cryptos) is a "buy and forget" safe investment. Ethereum is not however "buy and forget" due the the 'airgap' problem.

In bitcoin, the value and token are integrated into a single holding. In Ethereum there is an 'airgap' separating the value and token. For example, if you buy the Ethereum token, you're not investing in Golum - you need to invest in a Golum token for that. If you buy an Aragon token you're not investing in wetrust - you need to invest in a wetrust token for that.

Further, the more Ethereum gains in value, the more attractive competing smart contract platforms become and they are starting to sprout up like mushrooms after a rainshower.

Therefore, investing in Ethereum is like investing in electronic typewriters in the 1960's. They're great until something better comes along. Whereas investing in the monetary assets is like investing in gold in the 1960's. Gains value slower but forever.

What are the monetary assets ?

 • Bitcoin
 • Litecoin
 • Dash
 • XMR
 • PPC
 • Dogue
 • UNO

etc.

Yes, because as you can see ethereum price was raised up too like bitcoin. Also I believe that ethereum value will become closer to the Bitcoin that's why I'm choosing to invest in ethereum for a long term. However I study more the ethereum value and their capacity to survive in digital currency.

I like ethereum, i got in in january and have been rewarded so far.
I like its ERC20 token system,
i think some of the existing projects there have good potential.
currently watching the price to get in again.

I think ETH isn't going anywhere, until something better comes along that is (which could be a while). Maybe the price won't keep increasing at such a fast pace, but it shouldn't bomb anytime soon. There are too many other projects being built on the "smart contract" system that require people to fund it with ETH to start.

Yes I would. There are many large companies partnering with ETH so even if the bubble burst at least a couple of those companies will stay around

Well, basically the ethereum indeed has many partners to work together and have a lot of levels is likely to be the best investment place. Because a growing number of partners that exist therein, certain market forces will be the better. And it provides a beneficial effect for those who have a soul and a good thought. But you need to know, before making an investment will be much better you think about life in the future. What you want and how much you have to invest funds in order to achieve that goal. So essentially, you should be able to calculate and estimate well

ETH is both becoming mainstream through its value in ICO's and by its design it is superior to bitcoin. While I think bitcoin will always have a good place as the first cryptocurrency, ethereum will come out on top in the long term.

I tried ETH two to three times. Gotten good amount of profit but I just flipped it when the time was right. Now bitcoin seems to be more promising than ETH. Indeed they have limited coins and not sure whether they will produce more or not. For long term it can't be better option for now. Look at the bright side of BTC, it is always increasing and who know if nodes problem gets solved they might add more bitcoins to it? Its just speculation but would be great for us only.  Smiley

As i understood Ethereum is the best investment these days because Ethereum price can be supercharged in near future. I think 1 Ethereum will be more than 0.2 BTC end of 2017.that would be huge value based on btc price.buying and holding Ethereum is a good investment

Seems like a good time to buy it price wise, but I don't like that there isn't a hard cap on the number of coins that will be produced. Are most of you just buying it short term and flipping it?

ETH is good for  long term investment.

Ethereum has so much hype its ridiculous. So much based on its ability to do things in the future. Has anyone done calculations on how fast eth needs to be to support Augur, golem, and all the other eth dapps? Does that sh*t even add up? If you've seen anything please let me know. Whens the last time you needed a smart contract?

I'm still kicking myself for not spending $1200 on 4000 Ethereum when I had the chance (presale). My finger was literally on the button and I backed out (I had recently been burned on a few other coins and decided to just abandon crypto altogether for a while).

To be fair, I probably would have gotten before the recent jump anyway, so there's that. Knowing what I know now I plan on making some investments on some sound coins (stable, good dev team, etc.) and just letting them bake for a year or so. It seems like that's the pattern to these large jumps (already good coin, dedicated devs, eventually get the recognition they deserve, coin skyrockets because of it).

buy low and sell when the charts in charts highest is the desire of any person. However we recommend that if you want to invest in the long term,, divide into 2 or 3 stages of sales reached the highest charts later. the anticipation is better  Wink

That's a good guide but you always face temptation whenever there's a huge price pump just like what happen last two weeks ,get some profit out and always maintain a good number of coins because Ethereum is a long term source of profit for believers.
