No, but if it’s a cool name, then I could consider it. But when they grow up and know they were named after a crypto, then things would be a bit weird.

It sounds logical: to name a child after crypto and wait until he grows up. And hope he doesn't become a shitcoin, lol

Bitcoin has done a lot for me in my life & I thank Satoshi, the devs & the community so much. If I had a kid though I think it’s a step too far to name them bitcoin haha. So no, I couldn’t hypothetically name my kid after a crypto coin.

NO I would not name my children after a crypto.  I believe if my child who was named 'monero' or 'tezos' will cause my child great harm and abuse in grade schools.
If bully wants to look up the meaning of his/her name and sees it is a crypto currency they would be a topic of bullying.  For that reason I will stay with normal names for people.

Names are important. I wouldn’t name my kid after a coin and in my opinion, it’s really selfish to do that. If you so dearly love cryptocurrencies and a coin in particular, why not change your own name?
Some parents end up giving their kids some weird names that would get them picked on in school.

I will give u name idea for your children it would be better instead of putting some crypto names Smiley If your wife's family surname appropriate for human then give that surname to your children. And say to your relatives this attitude is shows how im thankful to my wife's parents. Then you will be the best groom Smiley It will be better than putting crypto names Smiley

I will never use a child's name with crypto even though I have a love of crypto, I will use a name that is more specific in my opinion but not about Cryptocurrency, but everyone is free to do it because of their love for something they believe in but there are some people who do that they think it's appropriate.

Name is an identity that is quite important because it becomes permanent ownership for life and can even become an identity someday if it is dead. I don't have opinion named my children with crypto even have got enough success trough joined several years ago where Bitcoin have been my full time job and earn passive income in daily day. Seems different with the other most excited and lovely with some coin have been make them success.

I searched for articles and found a couple from Indonesia who gave their son Emeric Cardano out of love for the ADA coin and believed it was a long term investment when he had children he named the child "CARDANO"

Article Source; https://www.cityam.com/crypto-crazy-couple-name-baby-after-favourite-digital-asset/
In my faith named is name is a prayer and need to give good name for our children and ever day when we called him we as good prayer for children, but keep respect with this person want to named their children with Emeric Cardano because their parents maybe get much profit from ADA coin investment, as a form of thanks maybe he wants named their children have words of ADA. Seems in my country will be the joke if have unique and strange named have when child on junior school.

^Sounds good and very funny, Doge if it is a boy, and Ada if it is a girl, and I don't know what is gender if the name is Bitcoin.
Probably I won't use this name even though I am a crypto lover, what if the crypto that you have choose become a scam in the future, it could be the reason the name of your child becomes bullied by other children because of the scam project that you have a name in your child.
There are too many good names out there and probably you can use two names as very common now.

No, but if one reviews other niches there are names (that have been used) that are stranger than the names of some currency in the crypto niche, I read that someone names the case of Cardano because they like the currency, I think it is the freedom of each person to somehow give it a "cross" to those who do not receive the blessing of a name that they like, which is really the great point, think if you like to call yourself in such a way.

In the sense of the subject and as a curious fact parents Hondurans they use the most bizarre names that you can imagine, the situation reached such a degree that those who want to change their name can do so, I would not be surprised if there surely there could be someone named bitcoin.

Yes, I've always imagined doing something crazy as a Bitcoiner, something that would astound people when they heard about it. Well, Bitcoin and ADA sound good to me. I wouldn't hesitate to name my child any of those coins. This is really going to be crazy. I had not thought of this literally up until now.

A couple from Crimea already named their newborn son "Bitcoin," after the world's most famous and expensive cryptocurrency.
This is a good start for me.

Naming my child with any kind of crypto is kind of funny, even at the expense of loving crypto seen different individuals with crypto names is going to be actually funny imagine the registered name in school is ripple john, in school, the child will be made fun of because of such name and it will be of surprise to many individuals and might become a celebrity.

Although that I really love cryptocurrency since the day I've started my career, I don't think I would use crypto as a name for my future child. It's just my own instinct that I wouldn't use a crypto-related name to my future child's name.

I'm just being curious about those people who have voted "YES" to name their child after a crypto. Hmm....

No, I won't though I love crypto. Because I live in a country and belong to a religion, my name should suit accordingly. Rather I love to teach my kids about crypto which would help more. Keeping name matching with crypto just won't help them to learn it. Whether you name your kids similar crypto or not, give them a lesson about crypto to build their bright future.

I prefer names that have good meanings that will bring goodness when my child grows up, choosing a name for a child should not be arbitrary even though I idolize crypto and indeed there are lots of good crypto names to name children. But that doesn't mean I have to name my child after one of the good crypto names.
and I thought of naming my child's last name with the addition of bitcoin's name, but I thought further and my wife didn't want to, finally I chose a name that had a good meaning for my future child.
The reason I want to give my child a bitcoin last name is because my child's birth fees were all paid for in bitcoin, and it all happened
suddenly, so that I will never forget it and it was a truly wonderful experience. And I share that story here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5401052

Many coins have a 'coin' as a part of the name, which would be weird for a person. Also, regardless of the coin, it seems inappropriate to me to name a child after a currency, any currency. Associating a child with money like that just doesn't sit with me well. But if a crypto has a name that sounds well, it can coincidentally become a child's name, of course, and a fact that there's a coin shouldn't stop parents from choosing the word they like.
I am surprised that 4 people voted 'yes' to the poll so far. I thought nobody would want to name children after currencies.

Hehe... interesting subject.

Maybe out there someone gave the name of the child with the same name as crypto, but personally who already has children until now has not crossed my mind to give my child's name like one of the names of Crypto. Giving a name to children in my opinion must have meaning because the name is a parent's hope for children.

And do you think anyone is named after a crypto today?
Someone might name their child after the cryptocurrency that made him rich so far, that's always possible for an increasingly crazy world.

I'm interested to know how many people out there are starting to adopt the name satoshi nakamoto for their kids, it has become the coolest name for someone who really loves bitcoin. Honestly, I haven't thought about naming my son/ girl after any of the altcoin [let alone Dogecoin], LOL.

I don't mean to sound superstitious but where I'm from we believe that names have power and have an influence on how our children will act so we always try to give our children very good names. Currently because of the very unpredictable nature of any cryptocurrency, I wouldn't consider giving my child a name after a cryptocurrency yet, I would not want my child exhibiting and unpredictable behavior.

Say in the future when bitcoin has achieved stability, the name can be considered then but not currently.

Hahaha. The unpredictable part got me laughing
