No, I would never . I don’t think that’s fair on them either. How would they feel when they’re old enough and they find out they were named a particular name for selfish reasons. Imagine calling your child Ethereum😅. It’s a No no for me.

"John Ether" Maybe the name that will be on my mind someday if I have a son.  Grin
There's no philosophy but this leads to Ethereum.

Names are very sacred so of course they will give the best names for their children, as for other crypto names that want to be folded in their love there are also those who don't want to use it.

I myself have not thought about this too deeply but in my mind there is already a name, this needs my wife's approval in the future, so there are good names with crypto elements.

Previously I wanted to name bitcoin as the last name for my first one who is now 1 year old and I thought again it would be a bit difficult to use that nickname when he grew up, so I canceled my intention despite my high love for bitcoin, but I didn't had to do it, besides that one of my friends used the name of an altcoin project called IDENA for his daughter, because as long as the child was in the womb until delivery the cost was obtained from the mining of the project, he put the name IDENA in his daughter's last name

Yes, I will love to name my first son after a crypto but I will like to make research about the particular crypto just to be sure that no one else has the name apart from the crypto and my son.Not yet a father though but I think seeing this post will give me a push to look for a unique name of crypto to name after my incoming son. In order ways, it's going to be something funny because most people from my region will likely want to know the meaning of the name of my son but is all good.

I would find an alt coin that no one ever heard of, and something that you wouldn't normally name a child. Like poochain for example. Excellent name.

There are quite some good names that can be used in crypto like Stellar, Casper, Nem and etc. It will depend on oir Surname if it will sound good but it is possible to use there are many good names now. It will be unique and can be remarkable to you if ever you hold such coin. Though there are some coinsname  that may not be appropriate like Doge to our childs name.

I don't mean to sound superstitious but where I'm from we believe that names have power and have an influence on how our children will act so we always try to give our children very good names. Currently because of the very unpredictable nature of any cryptocurrency, I wouldn't consider giving my child a name after a cryptocurrency yet, I would not want my child exhibiting and unpredictable behavior.

Say in the future when bitcoin has achieved stability, the name can be considered then but not currently.

Do you think anyone is named after a crypto today?
Highly likely, I am 100% sure that there are already a lot of child out there that has been named after a cryptocurrencies especially with bitcoin. With how parents are naming their child nowadays, crypto-based names could be a quite common choice.
Is there a kid out there named Doge? hehe  Grin
Based from this reddit post looks like there is someone named after dogecoin.Reddit: Got a little one on the way. If Doge reach $2 in 8months I will name my child Doge

As for the topic, yes, I can imagine myself naming my child after a crypto as some of them are already based from the name of the creator of the token and some crypto out there has great name.

I will never use a child's name with crypto even though I have a love of crypto, I will use a name that is more specific in my opinion but not about Cryptocurrency, but everyone is free to do it because of their love for something they believe in but there are some people who do that they think it's appropriate.

I searched for articles and found a couple from Indonesia who gave their son Emeric Cardano out of love for the ADA coin and believed it was a long term investment when he had children he named the child "CARDANO"
