Well the dude worked for it. And in part, I should be to blame for not having any cash to pay him with. I think it's just right to pay him with whatever means available for his services. If he has a BTC wallet, then of course I'd send the amount in BTC right away if he prefers to. I don't see anything wrong with that both on my end and his end.

An unemployed dude comes to your house to ask for off jobs, say to throw away your thrash and mow the lawn. You had no cash but he owns a bitcoin wallet and asks to be paid in bitcoins. Would you pay in bitcoin?

I will use bitcoin as a payment option for all kinda off job in as much that the person working for me is willing to accept it. I see nothing wrong with paying someone with bitcoin for an off job.  Using bitcoin as the payment option is no different from using fiat currency to pay people for their services they provide you. It is only people who don't understand the use and purpose of bitcoin will have a problem with paying off jobs with Bitcoin.

Why not, no problem at all and I will be glad that I will be paying him with Bitcoin, and might hire him regularly if decides to accept Bitcoin as payment for every work, here in our place I'm really looking for people to work for me that accepts Bitcoin, it encourages the promotion of Bitcoin, how I wish there is a local marketplace here that deals with Bitcoin payment, maybe in the future we will have one in every city.

Cleaning trash and mowing the lawn just requires 2 to 3 hours or maybe less. Therefore, the payment should just be between $5-10 or something along that amount + free meals and snacks. With bitcoin, we will pay fees for that small amount. Might still considerably cheaper to anyone but fees are fees.

It's unusual for a person nowadays that involved in bitcoin or crypto that don't have at least $20 in their pocket. Better give them a cold fiat after the work is done.

yes I agree with you better pay it directly with fiat money. because what he does is not a heavy work that drains the mind or energy. and if we pay with bitcoin then the payment of bitcoin and the transfer fee is the same. better to directly use fiat money we don't need to add transfer fees.
and I think collecting bitcoin in such a way is not an effective way to better follow the faucet or work on bounty projects and signature campaigns that pay for using bitcoin.

Nothing wrong with it, bitcoin was created as alternate cash. I actually like to try paying direct bitcoin qhen I go shopping in our country, however, no merchant here accepts bitcoin yet. In time I guess we can use bitcoin anywhere even like your example or paying restaurant bills, tips, fare or any daily routine we do we can integrate crypto and soon will.  Be threating bitcoin as a normal means for transaction.

Definitely... Bitcoin is described as a digital currency which has all the qualities of physical fiat currency with additional features. I will not mind paying for everything with Bitcoin. It is much easier and simple to make payment using Bitcoin. All you need is the receivers Bitcoin wallet address and you are set to make the payment. But I don't really see anything wrong with payment someone with Bitcoin for off jobs. Once you need to make a payment transaction, there is no wrong with using Bitcoin to pay the person so far as the person accepts Bitcoin.

for me personally if someone then comes to my house who wants to work at home, I would rather pay with cash than pay with bitcoin because we know that if we pay craftsmen with bitcoin, it will be charged when making a transaction and will definitely take a little time compared to cash we can immediately take it in our pockets and then we can pay workers as fast as possible.

Sure, why not? I mean I also wanted to get an actual job that pays me in Bitcoin. And so if anyone working for me prefers to have their pay or salaries in Bitcoin, I would be very glad to comply with their requests.

If he has one and you had one, then I don't really see anything that would discourage you to pay with BTC. However, it's quite unlikely for a jobless man to have a Bitcoin wallet. Although it's pretty easy, a man like that would have little to no literacy to such modernized things. And if he does have one, then he pretty much have knowledge on how to earn in cryptocurrencies.

there is nothing wrong about paying bitcoin because it is the same value you will receive, I like your idea because with just a simple task you can do you are offering a bitcoin payment method in exchange on your task because you are creating an awareness to a household that they can be part of this industry.

In my opinion, I will not do it because the bitcoin market price was so volatile and it could increase its market price in just a small price.
I think even if the market price value of bitcoin was dump that time paying bitcoin is still not a good practices because bitcoin was still not implemented as a currency but as an investment as we know nothing regulates bitcoin meaning there is no central authority controlling and regulating the bitcoin , We don't even know if it is possible to regulate bitcoin and if we cant regulate bitcoin we cannot make it to its purpose and it is very difficult if we are going to have a single currency that every country could use.
You should just hold your bitcoin instead of using it as payment as bitcoin is still not implemented.
Never do it when paying An unemployed using bitcoin or other crypto assets, although you don't have enough money better sell your assets and use cash money for pay them, we know how bitcoin and altcoin assets can increase higher price when price up, but after paying them with bitcoin and altcoin we have disappointed when price up, if paying cash money we got much profit than have use bitcoin assets.

Yes, sure, I don't have any problem if I'll pay him using bitcoin or cash. I meant it's gonna be cool to hear that from him, cause no one is asking for bitcoin when they did a job to be honest. I may give him an extra if I liked him and I liked his work. Nothing wrong with giving bitcoin though.

If i have no money on me at that moment i would definitely wait till the next day as i would not pay for such a job in bitcoins. Anyway, in my country we have a company that collects the trash bins so no need of this dude and i do the mowing myself hence i get to keep my bitcoins whiles waiting for the upcoming bull run.

I see no problem in paying with bitcoin, if that is convenient to you.
Personally, I always like to pay for stuff using bitcoin.

I am very attached to my bitcoins and I would not sell them easily. Buying something with them seems easier for me.

If i have no choice then why not, for sure its a just a small amount of service and around $20 or below and it will not affect much of my bitcoin. I can use bitcoin for any payment transactions as much is reasonable and every deserve to have their own bitcoin, he can have more if he works a lot BTC is for everyone!  Smiley

It is a matter of preference over the situation on hand. I guess we are all different on dealing with things. If the guy has offered to receive the payment in btc for whatever his reasons are, then I'll gladly give what I owe as long as I have btc also in my wallet. That is if I am using my own btc core wallet because if it will incur significant fees for transfer, I'll just pay him in fiat.  Tongue

I wont because I value my bitcoin and if the unemployed guy willing to accept bitcoin, I should also save that money for a good future. I'd rather paid him thru fund transfer with fiat money but not my bitcoin. We know the value of bitcoin has increasing, and his service might be more expensive for the next time he render his service. Bitcoin are more store on a store value for some people and to me, it would be hard to spend your bitcoin at a cheaper value.

Well, if a random person came to my house and asked to perform some odd jobs, I probably just wouldn't hire him to do anything, no matter what payment method he was after - just not worth the risk.

If there where some big operation though, where some builder or plumber called wanting to be paid in Bitcoin, I wouldn't mind at all (if we assume we they get fair rates).

More adoption for everyone!
