I'll be withdrawing my coins from trading platforms for sure. That's the first reaction because there's an upcoming ban. I'll keep them in a cold wallet. But it doesn't mean I'm limited to what I can do with it. If crypto online gambling is legally allowed, why would I not take a little of it and play in a casino, or use some of it to buy game credits or other goods and services? I don't understand why I'm given with an either-or option when I can easily do both, or even more.

while your country plans to ban crypto trading but online gambling legal, you'll gonna to decide what to do with coins.  would you go play your coins to accumulate or just withdraw and wait for the government to change stance?  no other option.

When you say 'online gambling' I understand you mean cryptocurrencies. That being the case, I agree with my colleague:

There should be another option on the poll
*Doing nothing at all.  Grin

I would simply HOLD on my HW until I could travel at a bullish time in the market and partially convert the bitcoin into something I could bring back to my country legally, or even if my holdings were considerable, I could consider moving to another more crypto friendly country.

Is there really a country like this? like banning trading instead of gambling?

No, there isn't.

Is there really a country like this? like banning trading instead of gambling? Because it's very weird, but let's say the government does it in our country. I am not a heavy gambler, so for sure I do withdraw it all and put it into other investments, as for sure if I put it all in a casino, I'll just lose it. Also, if they ban crypto all over the country, then I think all people will withdraw it, or there are some of us who do belong on it who continue to use it in the country but only in a quiet way so that we don't get caught.

Still, I'm gonna play but not on online casinos as I'm not a type of a casino guy but rather on sports betting using cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. Bitcoin is decentralized so banning it by a country doesn't matter as the day might come that it will be adopted by your own country so it would be good that you have some coins in your wallet that will make you rich in the future, so yeah i will try to accumulate (hopefully) my BTC through gambling but of course with a ton of discipline.

My country prohibits Bitcoin and Altcoin trading as well as online gambling and here I still play regularly and have had no problems until now. So as long as there are VPNs and exchanges, I don't really care what the government says for cryptocurrencies. This is my asset and it is up to me to be able to use it for my various purposes. Will I be penalized even though I still use Bitcoin and do gambling? on what grounds? is it because of the law? that's very funny, as long as the police can still be bribed I won't be afraid LOL.

Government banned bitcoin trading shouldn't be the reason why you should go and gamble all your coins because there is a high tendency that you will loss your coins, which makes it a dumb idea. I will move my coins from the exchange,if I was a trader to a noncustodial wallet where nobody will know that I have such bitcoin in my possession because I am in control of my coins and there is a high level of privacy. I will buy more coins and hodli since I will be using a decentralized platform which makes me invincible from the government. The banned of bitcoin or crypto by government shouldn't be the end of our bitcoin journey

One plan to do for most hodlers is to just send the coins to a wallet and keep it there. If they wanna keep trading still, there are dex to use for it.

But the option play on casino will still be in my mind and maybe because I'm used to betting already and DEX are not as great the CEX in trading which one option other than trading is casino.

Cashback 15%
I wouldn't dare risk it tbh. I'd rather play on a physical casino here in our country and spend some time commuting to and from the place rather than have my assets frozen or seized by the government just because I can't stop my gambling itch. Besides, there aren't much that I'll be missing if I don't gamble anyway, so it's not like I'm losing a lot just by following what's mandated by the government for the time being. There's a lot to lose if I didn't follow the rules rather than something to gain - in short, it's not worth it.

Withdraw and wait, there's no reason to keep there, that is suicide.
If I want to continue my gambling hobby using online casino sites then I'd rather use the currency in my own country as long as it is available. The worst case scenario that I see is if they are only accepting popular currencies, the strong ones.
Its not like I am gambling just because they have an option for cryptocurrency betting, I do love sports betting so I'll stick with them and would sacrifice to deposit the available options.
But this is only for the reputable casinos and sports betting sites, if there is another reputable one who offers better service then I might switch to it.

The ban would only limit my options in selling my bitcoins but i'll continue playing in crypto casinos because i'm currently in a signature campaign that pays in bitcoins, so i'll still have to sell them regardless of the ban or not. Nothing would change for me in the gambling part since most crypto casinos won't be affected, and if I have to spend my bitcoins, it's always better to sell them first anyway.

Knowing what someone plans is problematic because that depends on their decision. Like how do you even know when it will come out? It's the anticipation of it, not knowing that it can be possible or not to have to be banned by the governing body of a country, that is torture. It's better to do what you can until it comes out. Doing something illegal once it's been enforced would not be worth it.

Gambling with my coins is like wasting them because my intention is not to make gains but to get rid of them. I will not waste my hard-earned money because of government policy. First, government policies are not static or forever, another political leader or party with a different ideology might change the ban on Bitcoin policy. Second, if the country didn't criminalize the owning of bitcoin but the use of it, I will keep it in an air-gapped, open-sourced non-custodian wallet. It will be safely kept there. Third, I might also decide to travel to a neighboring country where I can carry out bitcoin transactions and return back to my country. Fourth, if the majority of my income or wealth comes through bitcoin, I might migrate from my country temporarily.

I hope you find an optimal solution, especially if the trade is an income that allows you to pay bills.

I don't know what trading has to do with the decision to bet in a casino, for whatever reason, it's the same to say, I don't make a profit with trading, I go to a casino to bet.

On the other hand, you should check carefully, if it is the casinos that allow your country not to be restricted for you, there are two different things, there are countries that are friendly with any casino and the casino may not necessarily have the same reciprocity with that country, or vice versa.

while your country plans to ban crypto trading but online gambling legal, you'll gonna to decide what to do with coins.  would you go play your coins to accumulate or just withdraw and wait for the government to change stance?  no other option.
... i might transfer some to my casino wallet so I can easily have access to them and use to play games whenever I want it. ...

It is never as easy as you think, the reality can be different if you want to access your wallet from a casino, they are not wallets to protect bitcoin, use Wallet where you have control of your assets, DEX. Deposit in a casino the money you can afford to lose...

Fun fact in my country, the government ban gambling since long time ago but what is happening in the actual life? Many people in my country still do gambling almost every single day in online fiat casinos. It means that there is always at least a way for people to do what they want even if the activity is banned by the government. The same for crypto trading, even if my country ban it in the future. I still believe people will still do crypto trading by alternative ways. This is the answer if you ask me personally since I do still gambling although it is illegal activity/banned by government.

I don't take loans, ask for sig if I ever do.
Wouldn't play, but that doesn't mean I'd pull out my coins though. I'd let them sit in my wallet, or maybe use them for some other stuff, ones that won't let the government connect the account to me. I'd never withdraw though, I'd just think of it as hodling, which I usually do. I can also access it via other countries if needed.

I'd simply play in regular casinos tbf if I wanted to gamble, I only stayed with a crypto casino in the first place because it was the first type of casino that I played in, so I just stayed.

First of all, there are fiat based online gambling casinos which would allow players to still play if they are that much into gambling. When it comes on banning of BTC and interest with web 3.0 platforms, then I guess it would be better to wait for things to be more visible in terms of accessibility. Sometimes, prohibition is specified to usage but not actually with totally banning this blockchain or network, so if that's the case, you will still bave access to your crypto funds and in such way you can still play on crypto gambling sites. So I guess it would be a case to case basis. If it is a total restriction then it would be risky continuing 'coz your funds would be at risk of not being accessed.

I can't embrace a scenario when the only options are hold or gamble. Why isn't there an option to sell for fiat money? Because that would be the most sensible solution, if you're not a degenerate and are looking to at least preserve your wealth.

Plus, if crypto trading is only banned in my country, I could always trade it abroad.

This won't happen in my country. Here, people prefer to trade crypto than play gambling. And the government supports trading more than gambling. So, it is impossible for our government to ban trading. But if it really happens, I prefer to withdraw. Playing more in casinos won't increase the chance to get bigger money, it even leads to addiction and loss of more money. You must remember that we must have good management to allocate money for gambling. Increase suddenly the allocation of money in casinos won't be a good idea, it is not the right way to multiply money.

I believe of your country already ban bitcoin trading or bitcoin entirely it is now left for you to decide how you are going to spend your bitcoin either to keep hold or use it for other transactions that is noncustodial, to me depositing my Bitcoin into a gambling site make me more vulnerable and at the same time put my coin at risk and the possibility of me getting my entire Bitcoin is not there because there will be some charges and also the risk of losing while trying to meet wager requirement for withdrawal.
So in such a situation,  if the government should ban Bitcoin, what I will do is store my Bitcoin in a non-custodial wallet, best I use a hardware wallet device to serve as my cold wallet and I will continue holding it.

There's nothing on any casino's terms that bans you from playing if your country bans the use of Bitcoin as long as the casino allows you to play I will play when playing in the casino you are subject to their terms if my country allows casino then, I'll continue playing with my Bitcoin but to be safe because casino might see the restriction and they will question your account using fiat is a good option if they allow it, while safekeeping your coins in your noncustodial wallet.
