while your country plans to ban crypto trading but online gambling legal, you'll gonna to decide what to do with coins.  would you go play your coins to accumulate or just withdraw and wait for the government to change stance?  no other option.

A country may ban everything as they wish, but the people may also find a way to overcome the situation.
Saying no other option does not make senses for me because there will be always many possible options to do.
However if the option is only 2 withdraw or gambling it away, I'll prefer to withdraw it to my own wallet and find the best possible way to exchange it into fiat.
I may use it for gambling some but holding it might be the best option to do.

I would rather search for a casino where the country restrictions is not there. There won’t be any KYC issues and transparent to the players. I don’t think if the government bans Bitcoins, it will affect a lot, as Bitcoins decentralised nature will help me to remain anonymous and hence no other person or governing body can know how many Bitcoins I have. It the government don’t change the policy, then I will just sell the coins using P2P deals.

If legal trading would be ban how much more with crypto gambling? For sure they do the same with this. Much better to stop this activity while government is in hot status with BTC since for sure if you keep gamble and use bitcoin for sure you will struggle to continuous using it oe finding some people to withdraw your btc earnings. Much better to follow what government order so that no financial loss will occur to us.

Government will just ban the use of crypto and not singling out trading if they want to keep away their people to use crypto currency. There’s a lot of online casino that accepts fiat some of them have a built-in exchange.

In this scenario, There’s nothing change with playing online casino since player can play without any restrictions since the government still allows it. I don’t see the argument here since crypto trading is only ban while online gambling is still legal.

You're quite alright here in your point of view but let's also consider it from another direction that if the casino you're using is only a cryptocurrency supported casino without fiat currency, are you going to drop them and research on new casinos that accepts fiat or you're going to remain without gambling, what we should be clear with here is not the fact that gambling isn't banned but cryptocurrency is was banned, are you secured with using these gambling platforms such a way that they will not leak your information out and the government identify you to be using banned cryptocurrency in gambling and charge you, this is all about privacy with gambling platforms, can you get secured?

Luckily my country supports any technology that is currently developing including crypto as well as bitcoin, even though the government banned it in the past but that doesn't mean they will take action against perpetrators for holders of bitcoin and crypto, only banning bitcoin crypto trading, for example using bitcoin as a means of payment to buy something at my country is clearly prohibited, so it's best to just keep it in your wallet and wait until the government gives you freedom and fully legalizes it.

At the moment my country has almost legalized crypto trading as a commodity so there is no problem with the ban, even casinos are strictly prohibited in my country, but I have no problem playing casinos as long as using crypto or bitcoin, except using bank transfers or accounts maybe it is strictly prohibited. the point is I play casino and depositing bitcoins in my wallet is an easy thing.

I have a simple way when my country declares crypto currency completely illegal and gambling sites are allowed then I deposit all my crypto currency in my casino sites. I will meet my daily needs by withdrawing from casino sites when I need to.

However, if the casino sites do not have good security, then I will have to convert the cryptocurrency into my country's money and deposit it in the bank.
If again the government changes its mind and declares Bitcoin fully legal then I will withdraw all my money from the bank and redeposit it in Bitcoin.

If they make ban on cryptocurrency in general terms they are likely to also extend this to gambling as well, but as long as the gambling platforms you will be using will not disclose your KYC to the government or reveal your identity for them to track you down, you can continue to gamble with cryptocurrency but always have it at the back of your mind that you're engaging in something risky, or you may just go for a no KYC casino if you think you need more privacy and also avoid the use of a centralized exchange in this case, use a decentralized wallet to make deposit into your casino wallet and not from an exchange wallet to the casino wallet.

I can lose my Bitcoin if I gamble it so it's not a good idea if the Government decided to ban crypto trading. There's an alternative way if you really want to keep your Bitcoin (like what others already pointed out here) thus to gamble it is not only the option.

Anyway, if this happened in our country I might convert my Bitcoin to cash because I don't want to go against the rules of the Government. Then if I want to gamble, I will just use fiat as currency. Good thing this scenario is unlikely to happen here so it's not something to be worried about.

It depends on what I've been doing in the past. If I am a gambler who used to gamble regularly using Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, I will surely continue to do that, but if I have never gambled in my life or maybe I do it once in a blue moon, I don't think I would waste my money like that because even if the government has banned trading, it doesn't mean that my Bitcoin has become worthless, I can always keep them in my wallet and wait for the future.

Besides, if government bans cryptocurrency trading or usage of cryptocurrency, they will ban access to every single platform that involves cryptocurrencies, so there will likely be no gambling platforms as well that will be accepting cryptocurrencies after something like that.

Fun fact in my country, the government ban gambling since long time ago but what is happening in the actual life? Many people in my country still do gambling almost every single day in online fiat casinos.
I don't really know the country that you are from, but most Islamic countries already ban gambling in their country, so citizens are not allowed to gamble, but people in the country are still gambling, the government can only ban gambling in the country, but citizens will always look for ways to gamble, the same thing applies to bitcoin trading, the government can only ban it, but citizens will look for ways to trade bitcoin.

the alternative way will be widely used. Even gambling has been banned from the start but using a VPN will overcome all that, even though using a free VPN is risky they still use it. Just like BTC if it is really banned and blocked then the same thing will be done. But for now, BTC may be prohibited as a legal tender but allowed as a trading tool.

Even if the government ban crypto in my country, they can't stop me from accumulating more bitcoin or holding my bitcoin, i can't just withdraw all my coin and gamble with, when I know that I can lose my money in gambling at any moment, when gambling their is no assurance of winning in gambling, I can withdraw all my coin to my gambling account then I will lose everything. I will rather use illegal way to accumulate and store my bitcoin rather than withdrawing all to my gambling account.

I myself will still keep tokens that have a bright future like BTC to be used as investment assets even though the state prohibits their use but keep in mind that the state also cannot know who and where someone owns or keeps tokens like BTC for long term investment.
But for some tokens like Altcoins maybe I will use them as betting capital in the crypto gambling industry because then some of these Altcoins still have the opportunity to multiply even though the risk is also big because it can also be entirely lost but the name of gambling is always at risk so whatever the risk is i will accept.
I'm sure most of the gamblers here are also using crypto, whether they be investors or traders, but when faced with the same case as you said, their choices will be different.

This is very easy, I will keep holding my coins, in your scenario the government of my country is banning the trade of cryptocurrencies but not the act of holding them, so there is not any need to take the risk of just gambling for the sake of it, and instead I could store them until the politicians of my country either changed their mind, or the value of my coins was so high that it would allow me to move to a different country and then sell my coins there.

Absolutely as I can cash in the Bitcoin through many direct exchanges to credit/debit card that offer this service online. There are a lot of them and you can go to beschange website to check them out.The government has no way how to ban Bitcoin as we have Russia who is a huge country and technologically capable in the IT arena who couldn't put it in place despite trying a couple of times.I would change them through the exchanges as I live now in a country where Bitcoin is not regulated,it is irregular or regular depending on government officials, they are given free choice but they cannot judge why I got x amount of money from an exchange as they cannot go up to them, they are not that smart here.

Well, in most cases trading increase your profit and gambling reduce your profit, so it might not be a good strategy change to gamble it. There are other P2P methods to buy and sell crypto currencies, which will be a better alternative to gambling.  Roll Eyes

Also, governments might lock down on exchanges.... but there will always be Bitcoin friendly countries, where you will be able to spend those coins on holidays or to buy virtual goods or services. (Example : Pay for a VPN with Crypto currencies)

Bitcoin cannot be stopped, because not all governments work together.  Wink

I don't know how can you accumulate coins by gambling. Even the best gamblers could lose their coins.
I just don't play gambling games with the sole intention of making more money and accumulating more coins.
If a crypto ban occurs in my country, I would just keep my coins in my cold wallet.
Nobody could find out that I have a cold wallet, that is full with coins. The government officials aren't that smart(and they don't care that much).
I could sell my coins for fiat money by using a decentralized exchange located outside my country.
It's practically impossible for the government to change it's position after a cryptocurrency ban has been imposed.

How much coins are we talking about? If we are going to go with how much we currently have in our Bitcoin wallets, then no. As much as I love gambling using the coins I have in my wallet is too big for me to gamble, besides, the government banning BTC in the country does not mean the value of BTC is gone, I can just use FIAT if I want to gamble on an online casino.

I will look for other exchanges to keep trading and maybe I will still gamble less even though gambling is legal in my country. Waiting for the government to change its attitude can also be done especially when it closes all access to domestically and abroad exchanges.

If there is no clarity from the government with the regulations, I think it's better to withdraw and store the coins in a separate wallet that we can control ourselves. And if the government closes the exchange, our coins are still safe and we don't need to do anything.

paper money is going away
I will engage in both, gambling and cashing out. I don't want to lose the sole purpose of cryptocurrency when it was banned in my country by the government. Besides, gambling can be quite enjoyable to fill my leisure time, as long as I can set limits and avoid becoming addicted.

As for cashing out, it's to enjoy the profits I've gained from cryptocurrency. I also need money to maintain my vehicles every month, and the profits I earn while in the realm of cryptocurrency are tremendously helpful in that regard.

Is there really a country like this? like banning trading instead of gambling? Because it's very weird, but let's say the government does it in our country. I am not a heavy gambler, so for sure I do withdraw it all and put it into other investments, as for sure if I put it all in a casino, I'll just lose it. Also, if they ban crypto all over the country, then I think all people will withdraw it, or there are some of us who do belong on it who continue to use it in the country but only in a quiet way so that we don't get caught.
Surely, there will be countries that strive to preserve Bitcoin's existence on the internet because it represents a crucial legacy for the future development of the financial world, driven by the revolutionary blockchain technology it brings forth.
Even El Salvador is continuously striving to improve by embracing Bitcoin as a part of its country.
