and I was like wow, 14year of staying anonymous, it might actually look easy but it's not, it's definitely easier said than done.
And to be honest here, I think it's a massive display of intelligence by satoshi because by now, am very much certain that he would have been tired already with the kind of questions he would still be answering mostly from haters
Who ever Satoshi Nakamoto is either and individual or a group he/they are very much cemented in the history of Crypto-currency forever. but I would like to correct you, yes the last time he posted here was 14years ago or there about doesn't mean he has been anonymous for 14years(based on the last time he posted here). There was never a time he wasn't anonymous. Posting on the forum does mean you aren't anonymous. For example you have posted this but I don't know who you are I just know you are a member here that makes you anonymous to me so are other members. You aren't required to give your real name or any of your documents when registering on the forum this goes to show that the forum promotes anonymity.

I quite agree with you on this in the sense that there is 100 percent possibility that the said Satoshi Nakamoto whose account they said has been  inactive in the forum for fourteen years can be one among us, posting with a different account that is not known watching and monitoring what is going on here in the forum. But however, his anonymity is a factor and fundamental function of privacy which Bitcoin represents today. Indeed, it is really causing lots of curiosity among the government body where some are seeing a light in it and others are not while it is still making it's waves across nations.

Staying anonymous from the forum and the entire Bitcoin ecosystem was indeed one of the best decisions Satoshi Nakamoto did for the total independency and full decentralization of Bitcoin as a digital currency that it is today. Because who knows what would have happened if he had not hid himself from the community and government, most especially during this Biden's administration that was totally against privacy for the past 3yrs, which we all know, led to the closure of major Bitcoin mixers in the industry. Because this day 13th December will always remain a remarkable day for every Bitcoin enthusiast and investor.

According to Satoshi Nakamoto's profile, he was last active on this Bitcointalk forum on December 13, 2010. But he last posted on that account on December 12th. Since then, he has not logged into this forum to this day.

Very correct according to the datas available the last post from the account is on the 12 December meaning yesterday, but active here in the forum on the 13th-12 this is somewhat a close case and should be overlooked considering the content of the statement which borders on an important actor in the development of Bitcoin and this forum, and if you have being following things, you will know already that the figures Satoshi did all that is needed to conceal his identity and also practices privacy at the highest level, this is quite commendable of him considering the nature of Bitcoin and how decentralization can be well practiced.

Privacy and decentralization

For Bitcoin to amount to it highest potential there must be none interference from external forces such as the developer and other actors in the Bitcoin network like the miners and developers who contribute to the project, it close consensiship and freedom is highly protected.

Satoshi aim for Bitcoin:

Let Bitcoin development and growth move organically with interference, and let the project evolve with time, which is the basis for Bitcoin decentralization, so Satoshi have to pay that sacrificed of disappearing, to protect his privacy and also the Bitcoin network, this is what make Bitcoin decentralized unlike altcoins who's developers and owners are known reason for their centralization.

If he knew already that bitcoin would become a hit in the future, then leaving the bitcointalk forum and staying anonymous from then until now serve its purpose. Bitcoin is making its way to its global adoption which increases year by year, and for that, bitcoin becomes a threat to the government and traditional banking systems knowing it offers alternative system for transactions and store of value without the approval of the bank or the government itself. If Satoshi remains visible at the moment, his safety and security will definitely be at risk. Good thing he’s not.
Satoshi Nakamoto did not know too much about future. He built up Bitcoin project, was part of the community and when the founder saw that the Bitcoin community were big and strong enough, he decided to disappear. As the founder, I believe that he actually had strong belief in success of Bitcoin, but it's not like he knew everything about future before the disappearance years ago.

I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume.
I can say the same too and it won't be wrong with two opposite options for future.

Yes, it was a perfect getaway plan. To exit the stage and watch how it unfolds from the sidelines. There are one or two persons out there who would definitely know everything about Satoshi. And they would have sworn a oath of secrecy.

By now he would have been arrested ot rather be the most wanted person in the world. Wanted by different governments for trying to collapse their economy or the world economic system. He would have been charged with manipulation, conspiracy and whatever legal jargons they would bring up.

Sometimes, I do think if Satoshi was an angel that came from heaven to save the world from government power on our financial life, because of the way everything was planned and executed about bitcoin and his anonymity. You will know that Satoshi is not a proud person/group to create bitcoin and hand it over to the community for saftey and progress of bitcoin.

The kind of life I will like to live one day if I'm able to make that kind of money sitting somewhere, no tax, no government investigation on the source of your wealth, no competition from other people and no one to take care your life because they see you been the most valuable person alive, that's what privacy gives you when you protectbot with all your work, had it been he never took his privacy serious snap a couple of pictures like other developers are doing right now, Bitcoin growth will always be a controversial assets like the way ethereum community is right now with Vitalik.

I don't think Satoshi will b bored been anonymous, it's helping Bitcoin that he stays that way and it's giving people content to post just like a month a go one TV reporter wanted to do documentation On Satoshi, that's what I called fooling at it peak because I don't know how you intend to do a documentation on a man you know nothing about his existence.

The writer should mention "Bitcointalk" instead of only BTC Forum, because there are many BTC forum right now like investing, stakexchange, r/Bitcoin, etc.

Staying anonymous is very hard to do now especially we have so many ways to expose ourselves to public, without need to be the "most" in order to be invited to television channel.

Just like Ronaldo who open a Youtube channel and he got 10 Million subsribers in just 90 minutes.

Imagine how people react if there was a new account and sign message from one of Satoshi's address....

Satoshi Nakamoto planed it or started with anonymity and the Bitcoin founder maintained it with time by always using Tor, and don't upload any image for account avatar.

You can not start publicly and later want to exit with anonymity, it's impossible.

I'll probably release Satoshi's PMs and logged IPs addresses in ~8 years. This'd probably be of great historical interest. (Though he always used Tor, as far as I can tell.)

2021 edit: I changed my mind: I am not going to release Satoshi's PMs in 2021. See my post here.
