Sometimes we get in a rush and don't double check our bets. I've been on the winning and losing side of this. You feel great when you make a mistake and win, but if you lose you feel devastated. Hopefully this was money you could afford to lose and next time you double check before clicking the bet.

Today morning received the weeks payment. I had the payment of the previous week. Altogether it was around 0.0055 in the wallet. The first bet was planned to be 0.0005BTC. Instead of placing 0.0005BTC, I misplaced 0.005BTC and the bet was lost. This was completely unexpected and it is my fault. If the bet have won my wallet balance could've turned 0.007BTC, now it is an empty wallet.

Have any of you encountered such wrong bets and won/lost Huh
this is why it is important to double-check your bet. this has happened to me several times before but it is not a huge amount so no harm done, after that, I always check my bets before clicking anything.

anyway, this suddenly reminds me of an article I've read before where the gambler mistakenly bet on the wrong Argentinian team, if I remember correctly the gambler planned to bet on Argentina to win the FIFA world cup but instead he placed a bet on an Argentinian team that was competing on Rugby world cup.

This is why I always preferred betting in $ currency instead of cypto that has a smaller units because I always have this kind of mistake in the past which I bet 0.01BTC instead of 0.001BTC on a dice game with 60% win chance rate. I’m just lucky to win the bet before I notice that I’m making a terrible mistake.

After that, I’m always making sure of the unit and use stablecoin as much as possible to avoid committing this error again. You are prone to overlook a zero on the amount if you are using Bitcoin as currency. Try to use ubtc or satoshi as unit to be safe on inputing bets.

@OP I feel bad for you, I think the correct phrase in this situation is: "double or nothing" Cheesy

As long as you're no need to use that money in hurry, I think you shouldn't be regret what you have done. I think it was ever happen to me too, but I forgot how much I've put my money. It's should be used to gamble for a week, but I just use it all in one bet. The bad thing is, I lose and all of the money I've bet gone lol.

Sorry to hear your mistake that makes you lost what you earn from the 2 weeks payment. I'm quite sure you are not the one who did such mistake but luckily I have never experienced it with big amount. Maybe I did it few times in the past but it was just a matter of few thousands satoshis. Since there is a system where Stake can show our balance into fiat, it is a better option to use to minimize such mistake because the value of our bet in fiat is easier to be recognized if we put the wrong amount. Double checking our bet amount is highly recommended before we click the bet button.

I think the mistake can happen to anybody, you shouldn't have to blame yourself for that, next time you just have to be extra careful when placing your bets next time so that you won't endup making similar mistake. It happens to me frequently, most expecially whenever am stressed and I still want to gamble, I will endup in putting wrong amount and I won't notice till the bet have have been successfully and I won't be able to cancel it again. If you have won the game you won't be regretting currently, but because you didn't win that's why you are regretting.

So sad man coz this BTC was your hard earned. You should not rush to bet and check the amount first then you might not have lost so much. I have never made such a mistake while gambling but I have made two mistakes in my life

1. I accidentally sent a valuable token to the contract address while transferring a token to another wallet. And in this case I lost these tokens of mine
2. I sent 0.1 bitcoin to a friend while sending 0.01 bitcoin.  In this case my friend returned the remaining bitcoins to me

I am very careful when gambling which is why I have never done anything like you thought gambling

Sorry about this, no one is above a mistake, but this is a very painful one since that is all you had in the wallet. In trading, we call it "fat finger," no one is above it and I had my fair share of it many times but never in gambling.

That has gone, there is no remedy for it, and the gist is that you are more careful next time. Anything that has to do with money should be double-checked before you click the confirm button.

I have not encountered such an issue as I tend to keep my eyes fixed on the number of zeros I enter whenever I am using Bitcoin. I personally tend to prefer either DOGE or TRX for placing any bets.  It is unusual in my opinion to make such a mistake. Losing a bet is a different thing but accidentally placing more than you wanted to is just carelessness. Next time keep your mind free and stay calm before placing any bets.
I agree with you when you said losing a bet is a different thing but accidentally placing more than wanted to is just carelessness.
Now if someone accidentally placed more than or below the amount he/she wanted is just a little mistake everyone does, for example, if he won the bet he will be happier 😊 and he might bet another.
What causes such a mistake is when a bet wants to start and it only has 5 seconds to start.

Since I have been placing bet on my own, I have not made this mistake before, probably because I am sensitive to anything related to money and I do not use it as a joke but I am serious with it. It is a mistake some gamblers can make, but one lesson like yours will teach them a lesson not to repeat the mistake. Sorry for the loss, continue to post good and get payment again. Gamble responsibly.

In the past, yes many times already.
You know what's wrong? We aren't double checking of triple checking the amount of Bitcoins or whatever currency it is that we are putting in.

I learned that lesson already because in the past, I don't often double check the amount of Bitcoin that I'm putting. Not all of them are losses though because there are times where I put a wrong bet, and I got lucky and won, but most of the time when I'm experiencing that I'm losing. Right now, I'm not encountering that kind of problem anymore because I'm always triple checking all of my bets.

I hope you will learn from that mistake OP. Don't think too much about that as well. What's important is you learned something from it. Smiley

Yeah same scenario to me but in transactions from non-fungible tokens instead of putting 0.25 eth I inserted 0.025 big mistake but yeah first times could also help us to be more careful and to think first before deciding. Always check first before clicking it's part of life to have mistakes.

Such a mis-understanding a long time ago in a Gambling site called Bitgame, while taking a multi for PSG, it became $100 instead of $10 and zero double clicked and one zero became more and I immediately confirmed. I lost that bet and lost $100 from that bet. I never made the same mistake a second time. Before confirming I must check well and then confirm.

this often happens to me, maybe my mistake was also playing when I was sleepy so I didn't focus on playing but forced myself to play, in the end I misplaced the additional 0 so I had to lose 0.01 BTC at that time, lol
but behind it all, it made me learn that never play a casino when my eyes are tired or sleepy, at least play with full awareness so that no mistakes occur. hopefully you get a replacement soon.  Wink

I bet you regret accessing your casino account first thing in the morning!

I had a similar experience with YOLOdice in terms of losses where I intentionally wagered my remaining balance without hesitation. In just one roll of the dice, two weeks' worth of signature payments were gone in an instant. After that moment, my entire week was filled with distractions, leaving me unproductive.

So yeah, hope that it would makes you feel lighter.

As far as I remember it has happened to me, but it has not happened very often, nor with a large amount. I usually play slots for 0.20 a spin, recently I didn't realise and the default amount was €1.

<...> I, who always bet €0.20, in the last slot I didn't notice it, I bet €1 a couple of times, which was the default amount, I got some free spins and I won €20.

So I was lucky that time.

The bad thing about it is that you've run out of money in the casino to bet now unless you deposit.
