That far south I would think would be ok.  Bury them far enough down to stay moist.  Dont want them to dry up and die during winter.

ok made a deal for some Rhiz's. 1 coin sent as good faith and to help cover shipping and final payment due upon receipt of rhiz's.

Yes you can do that.  They will need 12+ hours of light to keep them out of bloom.

2.5 coins shipped to 32301 - 3 decent rhiz's of each variety, chinook, cascade, and centennial. Going to planted immediately, and under full sun for a good 3 or 4 weeks, until first freeze comes thru the SE US. Then under floros till spring.

not planning on growing indoors, just want to get them planted now and when spring comes around drop them in the grow with a full rootball ready to go, kinda thing.

I would recommend that you plant them in the fall so they get a good head start for next year.  I've heard people have tried to grow indoors but these plants are crazy tall and you must have control of the light cycle.  They bloom when the daylight is less then 12hr a day.

can these be planted now and grown inside over the winter? or do these have to "set" for the winter?
