I don't think that is a realistic solution. I've already gotten a couple new designs made, but there are a few specific requirements that need to be met with a new design. I don't want to rush it and make a mistake, but I will try to move very quickly on this.



I didn't realize folks didn't like the back design.  I guess this could end up being a good thing...  I've seen 2 drafts of the new back design already.  It's going in a different creative direction.  The original idea was to have the logo pattern go from the hologram to on the coin, but I think it didn't execute as well as it could have.  The new design will be made up of larger elements as well as trying to take advantage of some new ideas that I think will make the end result much cleaner looking.

This might sound odd, but is it possible to laser etch the design onto the coins?

If the design of the back gets changed, I'd probably want a coin. And that kinda sucks since I would miss out on that pre-order bundle.

The 'centre ring' of the nasty logos looks strange only being part complete and also out of line. The pattern of a series of rings each getting smaller, but with the same number of logos and lined up with the other rings logos, forming a complete ring should be maintained, if that is the design.

The lettering looks illegible so I wouldn't suggest accepting it.  Considering how big the coin is, the mint should have plenty of real estate to make the lettering readable.

I'm personally in favor of a new nice clean design, as long as its not going to hold you up much.  I'm not in love with just the repetitive words on the reverse.

But either way, I'm still in for one coin and will support whatever decision is made.   Thanks for the heads-up.

Holy #!}?}!% that sucks!  How the hell can they take the money and just sit on their hands like that, communicating nothing?  I'm sorry to hear, that is just ridiculous.

I have to say that render is not very reassuring, and I'd expect better, especially for that kind of money.  Hopefully they do come back with something better to at least try to salvage some of their reputation.

What mint are you using?

Well, I have bad news (infuriating actually)...  I reached out to the mint to see why I haven't received these coins yet.  The response I got back was shocking.  They told me that the delay is due to not "finding an engraver who can accomplish the design."  So it appears that not only have they not completed the coins yet, they haven't even started the dies for them yet!  This is a mint that I thought was reputable and I've used them for all 3 of the previous coins I have had minted as well as having placed ~ $40,000 worth of orders from them.  I don't understand why I had to contact them for an update, only to learn they have done nothing.  I am beyond angry at their lack of professionalism, communication, and competence.

They did send me this render, and said they could go forward with the minting process if I was ok with the design looking "garbled."  I really don't know what to say.



Obviously "garbled" isn't acceptable, so I am hoping to either A) receive a full refund so I can go with another mint, or B) get them to immediately find a sculptor able to create the dies in the quality we paid for.  The other options would be to accept their warning of a "garbled" design and approve this render for minting or to go back to square 1 and pay a graphic artist to redo the rear design.  Absolutely disgusting how some people can get away with doing business...

I am open to feedback or suggestions at this point.

Just a couple more weeks until these arrive ready to be engraved.  Get your order in soon if you want to be included in the first batch to ship.

They will still receive the 5 seats attached to the coin for free as a pre-order bonus, but not the T-shirt or extra coins.

The status changed on my order.  Most likely this just means they have prepared the shipping information and not that the items have already been minted.  Just wanted to update.
