Here are some pictures of my gear:

Here is some feedback from past transactions:

Sold 3 FPGA singles last fall:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=484.msg1068073;topicseen#msg1068073

I bought some bitcoin giveaways:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=484.msg1068003;topicseen#msg1068003

sold 1 FPGA single:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=484.msg1095667;topicseen#msg1095667

I've realized the prices on ebay have additional premiums to be earned; as long as your anti-scamming techniques are good enough, so I've listed on there as well:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=261291737435&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123#shId

I haven't reviewed John K's escrow service listing; however, if it's easy enough, I'm going to start running my own escrow service.

I'll look into escrow next, but need to go to church now.

Hopefully, this post helps to appease some of the scam accusations.

Ciao!

Pictures of actual units? With a piece of paper and your name next to it?

I'll get that up here tonight.

No one has paid because you won't do escrow.

I will give you BTC13 for one

John K Escrow

Offer good until next DIFF

Thanks for the feedback; is there a link to somewhere that explains how escrow works and why John K is the name I always see related to escrow?

you have been around here since 2011 and you don't know what is escrow or how it works ? I find it really hard to believe, but no problem I can explain it to you, it is really simple. you close a deal with a buyer then a trusted third party (johnK in this case) review your deal and make a contract, and make sure you both stick to it, the contract is simple:

buyer send BTC to escrow ( and fees that one of you have to pay, or you can split usually it is 1-1.5%)
escrow confirm the received payment and request the shipment
you provide a tracking number to both the buyer and escrow
Buyer receive Items and confirm that everything  is cool
escrow release the funds to you

risk free for both parties, as simple as it can get, If your attention is to scam people, you will sure refuse using escrow, and no one will buy from you, it is the same way as ebay and PayPal works.

where to find the third part?

Thanks for the link... that's what I was asking for:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=141672.0;all

I'll stop posting responses until I have time to answer everything like you want.

As my linked in profile shows... I have a real job that requires demanding hours.

And yes, this video is back from BFL's video contest where I taped my FPGA units, which were just mailed back to BFL so I can get my next pre-order shipped ASAP.

Talk to you this weekend.

Cheers.

Yeah at same time for all we know that URL from youtube could be completely fake and not even belong to him and he could be spoofing someones identity.

So again we are all left with "questioning him"

You forgot:

I also lead the Cleveland Bitcoin meetup group:

We've had two meetings so far.  Looking forward to next month's, hopefully we can have record attendance... more than 5 (including, haha).

and you still claim to not know what is escrow and who JohnK is Huh now this is really getting awkward

BTW the units in that video are BFL FPGAs not ASICs

Yup, not going to waste my time and drive out there (Officially Retracting My Offer)

I am sorry, I don't know you, or who you are. YOU HAVE NO VIABLE REP. This guy John K has tons and tons and tons of transaction UNDER HIS BELT and REP. Wtf do you have?

It's BITCOINS once something is sent out *you have no way of getting it back*

For all I know i drive out there and you still scam me.

Here is what we have on you

You have no real pictures of the units with your name next to them
You refuse to use a Trustworthy person for an escrow service
You "claim" you have traded/sold/purchase here before yet no one has came in and vouched for you (not one single person)

You go ahead and "keep mining" I am not rolling the dice with you buddy. Good luck.

All of this spells OUT SCAM. Make no mistake just because you've been here since 2011 and you have 1500+ posts. I still dont know you "it's the internet" and I trust no one.

Best of luck to you.

Fair enough.

I can get pictures by this weekend.  If you'd like to watch my youtube video with my real name in the meantime, have fun:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTCedD5CPLE

I'm asking for where John K's trustworthiness is documented... no one has posted links yet.  Sorry, I can do this research myself, but I don't know why unless it's the only way someone will buy stuff these days... seems like wasted money for someone who has good feedback like myself.

I can go get references if that helps.  I can also, go hunt down all of the good feedback I have in the list of honest traders if you don't have time to search for it yourself (understandable).

Most of my selling happened before this new trust system next to our names, which is why it takes time to hunt these things down.

Not sure what basis you have to scream in all caps that I have no viable rep, when you have provided no evidence for John K's viable rep...

ciao

you are whining about few BTC and questioning the trustworthy of JohnK? as I know you do not have any positive feedback, where can I look for your feed back ? JohnK is a global moderator administrator and the holder of Bitcointalk funds, Hold thousands of BTC for companies and members

If you really don't know him or you want to check his feedback check this https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/john-john-ks-escrow-service-previously-known-as-johnthedong-141672   and maybe check the trust button under his profile picture for more evidence.

now that we went down this road, no one will trust you with buying these units even if you put them for 2BTC each.....

do your home work before writing stuff here.

edit: JohnK is an administrator not a moderator i fixed that

I found that quite funny also (hehe) I barely joined this board and I knew who John K was and what escrow was withing my 1st 24 hours.

I'm more looking for examples of where escrow has gone bad.  Does John K have 100% good feedback?  Why are we all putting our faith in John K.  I see his name thrown around all the time...

Why don't people use me for escrow?  I'd love to run an escrow service for 1-1.5% of all bitcoin transactions.  Seems like wasted money, and I don't believe this is risk free, because I don't know how John K is.  I can't recall, but I almost used DoubleC for escrow once because I know him as Chris who runs the pool that I rack up thousands of dollar of coins, and I used to use his exchanges before he shut them down and I trusted him.

I'm asking who is John K, and why does everyone trust him, and why should I trust him?

I realize I've been here for a while, but just never took time to look into escrow... if you look at my posting stats, I stick mostly to the alt coins forums for many of my months and mining.  I come into the marketplace when I need to sell or buy something (mostly sell), and I haven't needed to use escrow ever.

Sorry if it seems like I'm scammy, heh.  I'm content with letting my singles keep hashing away unless someone else wants to get into the game now for the right price.

I assume you're not on your way to Cleveland darkdad, so I don't have my machine at work with me.  However, perhaps I'll have time to breath tonight and we can work something out for tomorrow or Saturday.

UPDATE: 6 BFL Singles showed up today and are hashing away quite fine.

Before I pack up my 7 BFL FPGA units, I wanted to test running 18 units on my computer hence this picture:

As you can see, one runs really hot (80s), but it gets an extra 4 GH, so I'm ok with running without the faceplate Smiley

I've sent messages/e-mails to those who have expressed interest.

I'm prepared to sell these and ship them tomorrow to the first person who pays what they've offered.

PM me your shipping address and offer if you'd like to receive a bitcoin payment address.

First person to pay, gets them shipped to their address.

Otherwise, I'm content watching my 660 GH keep cranking while I ship my FPGAs back.

Cheers!

so no Escrow ?

I haven't used escrow before as I've always received payment prior to shipping.  We'll see if I resort to that at this point.

No one paid for any units yet, and I'll get back to PMs tonight after work if I can find the time.

For now, I'm happily hashing at 660 GH/s!  Woot!
