This is why ppl here do not offer any good rates for work. If a job is offered the OP obv doesnt want to use his time to do it so they offer the job here. You should make something decent for your time. NOT PENNIES. Again im not speaking to offend anyone and OP i know you arent the cause of the low rate offered.

I tried once (1 year or more) nitro-pdf to convert pdf to text (.doc tho)
There is an enhanced mode which makes the text better so you will obtain it with only few mistakes.
I remember it worked for me very well and my friend have to complete the correction of the text which is way easier than typing it.

Yea, that and the style of typing makes it difficult on the OCR software but most of the words/letters can be figured out by context and is why it must be done manually.
Later on when I get someone doing this if they do encounter a word/letter you can't solve replace them with ?'s and I can figure it out later.

I have hundreds of pages of scanned typed documents but ocr is not sufficient I need someone to manually type the documents again. Recreation of the page layout would be nice but not absolutely necessary, I mostly need the text itself.
Currently I'm just trying to get an estimate of a price per 25 pages, paid in bitcoin of course.
The documents are all in .pdf format, some easier to read than others but I've not seen any that are too difficult.

HA! I tried this earlier and the OCR was absolute garbage, just tried it again while trying to get a sample page and it worked fairly well. So I might not need all of the documents to be retyped but only the "difficult" ones.
$1 per page is a little high if it ends up being all of these documents, but if I do manage to get this OCR working again and end up with only a handful of pages I may be willing to do that.
