Will the merchandise have to be bought exclusively using GBT, or just as an option, together with USD?
DailyModo, mind leaving a comment on this? What is the plan? This greatly influences the future value of the coin.
Yes, merchandise will be purchasable with GBT some examples of merchandise we may have in the future such as t-Shirts, Sweaters, Steam Gift Cards, etc. We are open to ideas for merchandise and when we’re at this stage in our product we’ll be polling the community about what their preferences are in this regards Smiley

That was not really my question. You said that in the ANN post already. What I am interested in is, will the merchandise be purchasable with other payment methods as well, such as CC or Paypal?

You do realize, that valuation of a coin and valuation of a company are 2 entirely different things? GBT is a CRYPTO CURRENCY, that has some backing from a company, consider it A BONUS. It's not a stock, it's not a share, it's just a coin with a fixed supply, and most of it was sold for a $100k. If SUPPLY were to dry up and if there is DEMAND - the price will rise. It's as simple as that.

I completely agree. That's why I am trying to figure out what the future demand may be, but you guys are trying to avoid clearly answering that question it seems?!
That is a question for DailyModo, maybe he misunderstood.

I'm not affiliated in any way with gamebet.gg.

I guess I should change my avatar to something else...

You missed the point. Yes, you buy partially based on future growth, and when you do that you buy in cheap. You do not buy in at a 3k BTC valuation for a project with a ceiling of MAYBE 5k BTC. Thats assuming best case scenario and that GBT truly takes off. Thats a dumb buy. The chances are much, much higher that investors will take a giant loss.

I actually own one of those mid-high volume platforms. No one in our industry is making hundreds of BTC per day. My site does barebones advertising and we did more volume in our first day then what GBT has accomplished in a couple months.

Again, I like the idea of GBT, its valuation is just ridiculous.

All this theoretical valuation at 3-5k btc is just that, THEORETICAL. It's not like devs are keeping 90% of coins for themselves to dump after a price rise(although, some cryptos did that and it even worked for them somehow).

Jeez, I have no idea how you people are still taking a part in those crypto markets if you can't even understand such a simple thing. Do you even trade any crypto, or just hang out here to push your site?

Do you seriosly think that all those cryptos that are traded out there are fairly evaluated based on some future dividends? Or do you think that there is such a big demand for them from anybody beside traders, looking to buy low and sell high?

It's all just a speculation on the future of dev teams and projects that are associated with them.

You guys obviously can have your opinion but you need to expand your thinking on this...

Why is any crypto besides btc valued the way they are?  Possible future growth.....thats it.  Not one of these coins should be valued at where they are if you use "current value in the marketplace"  for one early investors got about 20% extra in SS and in steam gift cards. (True value), once the payments start rolling in, there is value there.  You guys are arguing based on the coins value at $0.  There is also the possibility for coin price growth, yes i didnt say definate or this is going to make anyone rich based on the growth of gbt price, but there is the "possibility" based on future growth potential.  If you buy gbt at 717 sats and sit on it for a couple of months, get a payout (even if its only $1) and then you sell your gbt for 717 sats, you make a profit, and thats not even counting if you stake your coin during that time.  Not many cryptos you can buy and sell at the same price and make a profit (even if it is small).

Now you talk about mid-high crypto casino/sportsbooks make hundreds of btc a day, i dont know what they made in the first month but im sure it isnt the same level as they are at now.  And how can you say advertising wont bring in more people??? How many bitcoin sites can you go to without seeing an advertisement for a casino/dice game/sportsbook, etc.   Why do you think they still pay for advertising if it doesnt bring people in?

Either way i respect your decision as everyone has to measure their own risk tolerance.  Hope to see you betting one day on the site and buy some gbt from the exchanges.

People shouldn't be too negative about the price, you know with 2btc you can more than double the price on Yobit......

Problem is maybe many aren't really buying and selling just holding for the long term?

maybe waiting to see what will happen with the new UI

I'm looking for free spin.
I may have missed it but I have a curiosity. Why are the dividends delayed for so long and why didn't they start immediately upon launch?

everyone (devs and investors) decided it was best to start the first cycle with the launch of the marketing campaign and new ui.
marketing is very important if you really want to increase more users of gbt.. if you are lucky and you can make the best landing pages that can attract people to invest in this type of altcoin we will see in this month the price of gbt increased and get back to original price..

To tell you the truth, I think they were only part of the roadmap and agreed upon by the ICO investors to start in the future.  You have to remember this was an ICO project. So you are essentially investing in a "roadmap" and not existing functionality. Like much of the other projects here.

The team has been very transparent about where when and how they are going to get things done. Im impressed so far, because work in software dev in real life, and I understand the difficulties they are facing.  In my opinion this is a very professional team. I just want to see the new UI so I can re-evaluate my investments. GBT still super cheap thanks to the market trolls.   Wink Wink Wink

It is to my understanding that GBT was created as a share system for their website. You buy GBT and 'stake' it with the website and you earn a percent of the profit.

Is there a place where they have a earnings report set up that can be looked at?

How do you receive dividends?  As of now the wallet doesn't work for me on gamebet.gg

Hey, I think the dividends have not started being distributed yet. Thats the talk of the "First Cycle" in the thread right now. They are updating the website, and working on that functionality so you can register your GBT wallet address so you can still Stake the GBT you are registering for dividends. They may allow you to hold them on the website as well, but personally I would rather stake em    Tongue

If thats inaccurate, someone else will correct me. But to the best of my knowledge the first dividend cycle will be starting in a month or so.

Not your Keys, Not your Bitcoins
Hey guys, we wanted to drop in and answer some questions since we did not post an update yesterday -

To clarify, while the first cycle begins on June 1st, all bets up to this point are included in shareholder dividends as well, correct? Not just those from June 1st to when the cycle ends?
To reiterate what we have previously said, since we will be starting the first cycle in June, when the cycles ends in July, it will be paying out from the start of the cycle to the end. We discussed this heavily with our community both on the forums and on Discord and the general consensus was to not start until June 1st as we are initially starting with a 30% value (which will be decaying over time down to an eventual cap of 10%).

Will the merchandise have to be bought exclusively using GBT, or just as an option, together with USD?
DailyModo, mind leaving a comment on this? What is the plan? This greatly influences the future value of the coin.

Hey guys, here with a small update about how things are going - this post will be fairly brief.

Development
Hi DailyModo, why u great job not response in price, what a pity!

We do really need exchange, bittrex important for gbt.
We are working towards getting added on other exchanges, however it is not a huge priority at his time. There are several exchanges where you can actively trade GBT. The core focus right now is on development as well as marketing. Ensuring our product is refined as well as our user base is a greater key component of success in contrast to getting listed on other exchanges.

---

We'll be looking to set up game servers as well as start building a Steam community around some of the popular Steam Games such as Ark, TF2 and CS:GO. Once we're ready to proceed on this front, we'll be releasing all the server information. We will look to have a page set up for this (including server status and details) on the new UI.

We thank those who have been continuing to support us and we can clearly see that we are now starting to reach a new demographic outside of BitcoinTalk thanks to the activity we’ve had as of late on Twitter. Follow us if you haven’t already as there will be a series of contests in the next few days and stay tuned for screenshots featuring the new UI with dynamic (real) data as we work on integrating it!

Could anyone tell me what "first cycle" means? That we will be able to invest GBT in the loyalty rewards program from 1st of June or what?

Anyone claiming this coin is going nowhere is either trying to bring to price down to buy low or either dumb as a bag of hammers...
Either way, suit yourself, but I'm holding long term.

Bitcore (BTX) - The Future is Now
The price per coin going anywhere?
From what i checked last night it was to 900 satoshis on yobit. That is half of what it was worth when it was introduced.
I don't know about you but that is not encouraging to keep buying these as I am retracting to do so until it shows some increase in the next couple of days.  Undecided

Well there are 2 ways to think about this (and its not half of the ico price when the ico price was around 1320 sats).  If you believe in the project, then its a good time to do some cost averaging buys.....or you dont and you let go now.  The market has many different forces so the price might go up or it might go down in the next couple of days (or trade sideways).  This has nothing to do with the project but more people speculating and playing the alt "game".  Remember though when in vesting its simple, buy when its low and sell when its high.

It does have to do with the project. Why is the sites volume so low? The time its been open is not an excuse, its been open for well over a month and still has no traction. Just from scrolling through your site, there appears to only be about 1000 GG in all of the pots combined (like 2 BTC of volume).

***with no advertising***   Grin

You can make your own choice, the beautty of life.

Lol, you don't need paid advertising to get traction. Most paid advertising in the Bitcoin sector actually generates very little user growth (or at least meaningful user growth).

says the guy with the money pot sig    Cheesy

MoneyPot is not in the e-sports gambling industry, or even normal sports betting, my opinion on this is not biased. I would also like to point out I am not paid for posting Wink

I don't like watching people get duped, which is exactly what I am seeing here (I don't think GG's team did that intentionally). Sportsbooks typically see higher wagering volume than traditional casino games, yet this site can barely get 2 BTC in action. For comparison, the average mid level / upper level crypto casino/sportsbooks are doing a couple hundred BTC a day in action. Advertising will not change this. This site will never be profitable for investors considering the valuation people bought in at. While the site is not worthless, raising over 250 BTC for only a 10% cut is ludicrous for something that will make at most a dozen or two BTC per year.

They aren't going for the bitcoin sector, but for the outside world of gamers. The plan is to focus the marketing campaign on them, and it's not just some paid ads on google.

Outside gamers will not be using this site. The CSGO market is already extremely crowded.

Dont bother trying to explain.
I already tryed on previous posts, with some math, but people dont wanna understand.
Maybe when dividends are distributed for the first time they will get it, but even then i doubt it.
I really like the idea behind Gamebet, thats why i still fallow this topic, but im still far far away from putting any money into it.

I know. This is why the US has laws on accredited investors. Some of the arguments defending the valuation of this site is hysterical. They raised nearly 300 BTC in-exchange for 10% profit share (not even equity). No traction, just a site that you could spend a couple grand on and have up n running within a few weeks. People also seem to think a marketing campaign will boost volume... lol.

Can anyone honestly say that this site is worth nearly 3000BTC? If not, investors overpaid.  (The answer is a big time NO)
