Is there a thread for betting here? Like people discuss which one's to bet on and which one's to not bet on? I'd like to participate on a thread like that.

and an onsite chat for each betting category of course.

As far as I know that's in the plan.

They just updated their UI, I'm pretty sure this will be child's play for their dev/designer as their website looks really better than the previous ones. Smiley

I just wanted to state the obvious but Gamebet coin pays out a percentage on profits and as the site uses Bitcoin the value of the coin shouldn't lose value with a rise in BTC......possibly even increasing it.

Of course you can't count for peoples emotions however ungrounded in logic they are...

BUY BITCOIN WITH PAYPAL AND CREDIT CARDS
I have to agree with post above, theres too little on the page. Maybe fit the games into 2 columns so you can display more of them ? It just feels wrong (as it is shown in the new concept), compared to the new one, i actually like the old one more.

I am fairly certain that the above UI is a starting point and will be tweaked as they go to an amazing final result. All contributions I would imagine are welcomed so keep firing ideas and if it feels right they will likely use it Smiley The good thing about this team, they listen to the community.

On another note, we have a signature campaign that has been running a couple of weeks now and we still have some space for guys who would like to earn some more GBT. If you're interested, please come make an application on the below link.

Hi everyone, as you all know it's been a very crazy few days for all of us.

We hope the downtime was not an issue for anyone and if it was please accept our sincere apology. We have a few things we want to update everyone about so we’ll take this time to do just that.

Bittrex
We have been in touch with Bill from Bittrex, so special shout out to all of our supporters who reached out to him. There are some concerns that Bill has before we are listed and we are looking to start the process to get him all the information he requires to the best of our ability, but this won't happen overnight and we expect it to be a long drawn out process. He is also asking for a $5,000 (USD) compliance research fee. A fee of this size for an exchange was never in our budget so now we are going through the finances to see if this is even feasible at this time. We hope to have more information on this matter in the next few weeks.

Back End Development / Maintainence
We've been preparing a lot over the last few days for swift integration of the new UI (it's being developed independent of the infrastructure). As you know, we recently did a maintainence to include the match format within our current system - this was something that we intended to do eventually with the new system but saw the immediate need to include this; This relates a little to the section right below this. We're still in the process of working on things such as the notification system so we can ensure matches aren't stuck as "Live" for very long after they've already been completed in the real world. More news will be available on this as development progresses.

Forum Drama
We want to clarify our stance on a few issues that have happend of recent.

philakone and the draw-bet dilema
This is the offical statement we have issued to him in regards to this matter.
Quote
Hey, I have discussed this with the team and can now offer you a response. It is important to note that while we agree it is inconvenient for a user that the match format was not being previously displayed, users should be encouraged to only gamble of matches they are knowledgeable about. As this is the case you were not forced to bet on side A/B, but could have bet on a draw and chose not to so the fault lies with you and your research. While $12 is a small amount, refunding you your money sets us up for a bad track record of more people complaining in the future when they bet irresponsibility and dislike the outcome.
We encourage users to use their own resources to research the matches they bet on. As our platform progresses, we will be able to display more of the information directly on our site (team performance, trends, etc.) but simply because we don't display this information does not justify blaming us for how you (the user) chooses to bet.

It seems to us that philakone has the best interest of GameBet at heart and it is not our intent to start a witch hunt again him.

UI Development
Here's a sneak preview of what's being worked on. We cannot stress enough this is a preview we know that things are missing, it's still being developed

What are your initial thoughts on it? We'd love to hear some feedback, as we're considering splitting sports to a seperate part of the site (information will be laid out the same, but color scheme/images will be different).

Perks / Early Investor Rewards
G2A has been taking longer then we anticipated to process our bulk Steam card purchase. If we do not have the Steam cards by friday (4/22) we will look to issue the other perks (SS, refferral %) - things such as name color will come with the new UI design when we have the chatbox.

Bounties
Bounties we have issued in regards to translations were documented as fiat amounts (i.e. $20) therefore when paid they are paid using the current value of GBT @ coinmarketcap.

In conclusion (and the big announcement..!)
Given our estimated time line, we had thought we would have the new UI developed as well as integrated among other features by mid June. and this is when marketing would begin. However, recently John, Sergey and I have sat down and went over where we're currently at in terms of progress and we are anticipating everything will be ready by mid May. It is possible with the rate we're progressing that it may be even sooner than we're currently estimating now. If wasn't clear, at the start of this project John and I resigned from our "real life jobs" and have been pouring all our time and attention into this project every day.

A bright future is not too far off in the distance, thank you all for your continued support - without it GameBet would not be progressing at the rate it currently is.

UI looks good. Its a small thing but personally I hate clicking through pages at the bottom of a screen 2/3/4/5/6/7 etc. I wonder if there might be a way for more games to be displayed on one page at least i.e. less space for each game, or maybe an ability to scroll down more games. I kind of miss the grid layout but I  guess you are limited to space for stuff like toolbox/discussion and twitter feed etc. I do think the troll box/discussion is essential and effort to make that work well is important.

How about a way to prioritise games you are interested in....ie a 'watching' tick box.

good idea about separating sports with a different color scheme cause even if you get a lot of betting on sports you got to define the site as an esports betting site otherwise you are just another betting site.

There is nothing wrong with Bittrex's request. Some application fees are just higher than others in line with the amount of work involved. It is just business. Coin management is not obliged to pay but they have to do a cost/benefit analysis and it it provides a positive NPV or more pros and than cons then go for it. Just discount into the risk the possibility that it seems that a listing is not guaranteed, it is the fee for investigating compliance matters.

You have to consider if a Bittrex listing is essential to the project at this point. Does liquidity mean anything for development right now? Liquidity is important if the dev team relies on proceeds of sale of GBT to fund the project. If the dev team relies on other funding for development that is not directly related to the price of GBT then an immediate listing on another exchange is not essential. If the $5k can be better invested in the project to provide a better user experience and take-up by users then that is a higher priority. The $5k can always be done in a months time when development has progressed and things have crystalized a bit more.

It is just a matter of prioritizing the application of funds. In essence, will the $5k investment have an immediate benefit for the project or will it just have and immediate benefit for the holders that just want to sell at a higher price?

On a betting note.  There is over $100 bet on Saturdays pacer/raptor game but $0 on tomorrow nights game. Huh  Wonder if just someone didn't look at the date of the game.

I think its best to wait for an official response before jumping to conclusions

It pretty much will be about compliance and law.

I would agree it might cost some money if i didn't know what i did about them adding a specific coin in the future, so they have either gone thru with it already or are in the process of doing so for another coin .

They state on their website the inability to add gambling coins, even thou the coin itself isn't gambling, you cannot gamble with the coin

5000 dollars for being added to bittrex just simply aint worth it, most people in this coin for the short term will tell you its a great idea, but no real coins make it past 100-200 btc volume on bittrex, unless they huge like ethereum , or the volume is heavily manipulated by investors of the coin trying to pump the coin . so yes short term profit seekers looking to dump the coin will agree and want the owners to pay 5 grand to be added . but it just isn't worth it .

Re-Evolution
I just read this at bittrex:

Submitting A Coin To Bittrex - Updated 02/29/16

"At Bittrex, we look for coins that have high community demand, innovations to digital currency technology, or a contribution to science or humanity. Given the demand for currency launches, we limit ourselves to only a handful a week.  Launching is free and at our discretion.  If you'd like to guarantee the launch of your coin and get additional marketing in our platform, we offer the option to spotlight your coin for 3.0 BTC.

Note that we cannot list currencies where its primary purpose is to support gambling, illegal drug sales, or any other activity that is illegal in our jurisdiction.  We also cannot list currencies that would be construed as a security such as digital currencies that promise/market profits or represent shares of a company.  At our discretion, we may require an additional compliance fee for listing.  These happen in the extraordinary cases where your coin's use case is extremely complex and requires significant research by our staff to determine suitability. "

They don't list currencies that support gambling, but yet they're offering a $5k compliance fee? Does this 5K fee have anything to do with bending the rules and getting lawyers involved? I don't know anything about legal side, but it seems like they're offering this $5K as a bribe to bend the rules.

I'm not sure how I'm taking this.

Smells like a dirty bribe request to me.

It has everything to do with the powers that be, they can't sign off on certain things, they can sign off on your average shit coin because it doesn't matter, some 12 yr old kid betting onling is going to create headaches, games better be correct, monies better get paid out without using peter's money to pay paul type scams, to ensure they "look " into that, costs $ , any major exchange would or should want it.  Governments like the u.s. would be all over this and shut it down if proper things aren't done, ensuring bitrex hires legal counsel or whatever their legal counsel says is best to do, is what they should do and you can bet legal counsels advice is use a compliance officer.

I agree with your assessment but since this a new site, that $5k can be sent and then a month later they can de-list it for any reason.  I guess where I'm going with this is, they can can take the $5k, "pretend" to hire council and just pocket the money.  Sorry but the previous post I didn't write out my thoughts completely.  At this point in the game $5k can't just be thrown in the wind, it needs to be well spent

Its worth the 5G, hard as that is to believe, other major exchanges will probably want it too. Its all legal issues for the $5000, unless you want everything seized by u.s. gov't, its the price of doing business with the big kids, that or hopefully stay under the radar, gambling and dividends is going to cause these kinds of things to get noticed  by the powers that be unfortunately.

I don't think you understand.  Bittr ex is asking $5k for their internal "compliance" review.  This has nothing to do with the powers to be.

5k is mentally challenged shit. This is a joke right? Where did Bill tell you that it would cost 5k. Was it in a trollbox, email, phone call? It must be a mistake. Maybe he meant to say 500. i dont see how they can have the nerve to ask for 5k. we should all start tweeting to bittrex letting them know that we wont be bullied into paying their extortion fee.

Or we can take a moment and get confirmation on the source and amount as you initially stated. No need to be a twitter warrior until we can confirm the facts.
