I played a couple roulette-bets again, playing a chip on you-know-which-bet, casually winning (actually, even without 0 showing up), casually losing...

Coming back to the main window, I get to read under: Latest Winners

Really???  So I won 2.00 Bitcoin each time??  Where's the missing 4×1.998BTC then?  Grin

What is the sub-value for less than one Bitcoin that is search engine friendly?

Here's some more items for the nerd-roulette wishlist:
 - Show history of at least 36 last rolls during the session.
No need to make up any "previous rolls", though.
 - "Classic"'s color scheme is good, imho.
 - betting field horizontally aligned - not diagonal.  If it must be diagonal, then \-like, not /-like.
having the carousel nearer to bottom (like in Medieval) feels like lying head-down.
 - an extra "rebet&roll" button or do auto-"rebet" if "play" is clicked after a completed
       round without a new bet.
 - ball roll should still take two or three seconds. If too short, it would feel strange, even to a nerd.
 - When broke, or when finishing, show a statistics page for the session. Smiley

just some brainstorming.

I'd like an option to speed up (or remove) the animation.
I don't want or need the spinning wheel graphics, and waiting for it is kind of frustrating after a while.

100% agree. Have another button added to where help, sound, music, exit are now, in order
to turn on/off animations.

Alternatively, make another (forth) roulette-variant that is totally barebones, for nerds ;-)

Ironically, I would like to see this as well for Bitcoin users. We will definitely think about doing this. This is our first Bitcoin Casino. All our other casino's were geared towards main stream market and people from that market have never requested this.

Yeah that shuttering is probably your internet connection. I guess what people should realize it that if you lose internet connection, the game result win or lose is logged into the database as soon as you press play.
Graphics are just for the human eye.

I regularly see the ball staying in one spot as the wheel spins, and assumed that was happening while the client communicated with the server to see where the ball should land.  But one time the wheel froze as well, which is different.  And the ball landed in a different slot than the text said it did (as shown in the screenshot I posted).

Wait, you mean there isn't a physics-engine simulating the ball roll???  Wink

Would it be rude to play the 3-36 line on roulette with the free chips?  Wink

Go for it. I have not tested this in Real mode yet.

There doesn't seem to be a difference between play and real money as far as the 3-36 line paying out on zero too.

I did a few hundred spins, and even though the odds are in my favour, I'm still losing.

I just had a weird spin.  The animation kind of stuttered, and the ball landed somewhere other than where the game said it did.

Here's a screenshot (in which you can also see how well I'm doing 'exploiting' your bug...):

I did a few hundred spins, and even though the odds are in my favour, I'm still losing.

I ended up getting bored, increasing my bet size, and losing it all.

I kept track of the results.

Betting on the 3-36 line, I had 191 losing spins, 84 winning spins, and 8 zeroes, which also counted as wins.

So even with the extra wins from the zeros, I still had more than twice as many losses as wins.

Stats:

Code:
>0, not on 3-36 line, losing spins: 191 = 67.49% (expected: 64.86%)
>0 on the 3-36 line, winning spins:  84 = 29.68% (expected: 32.43%)
                        zero spins:   8 =  2.83% (expected   2.70%)

I guess once again I was just unlucky...  It's a good thing I don't gamble, eh?  Smiley

Couple of bounties I'm going to give away.

Player AvL42 200 chips http://blockchain.info/tx-index/3deab9407b338826679bd345ace7e23a9c6c20df12299e7ce2bbd523b410daef

Thanks.

Edit: I logged in, and the site tells me: "You have 0 chips."

Edit2: Because you sent them to my wallet, not my casino account.  So now I have to wait for 3 confirmations - which is probably long enough for your programmer to fix the bug.  Smiley

This will not be fixed today.

Cannot duplicate?  Here's the precise procedure:
Bet on the right column (3,6,9,...,36), and wait for 0 to come.
It is taken as a win!

Thus the average win-chances for that column would be 13/37
instead of 12/37, and if someone played long enough, and
(naively)assuming a fair roll, one could cheat the casino.

I really think I deserve a good bounty for that report.

Not that I don't believe you. I was having trouble determining how you were coming up with the results. I do see the screenshot now. I will send this over to programming and have it looked at.

I can duplicate it just fine.

If the game wasn't quite so slow I would duplicate it over and over and win some bitcoins, but I don't have the patience.

Here's a screenshot of it happening though since the site owner doesn't seem to want to believe you:

Any developers running the 1gig Bitcoin dameon on their server understands this.

How many % of your customers do you expect being
"developers running the 1gig Bitcoin daemon on their server"? :-)

-  it says: "Our current exchange rate is: 0.00100000 BTC per chip."
Does that mean, that this rate is not just meant for getting
rid of comma, but instead subject to change?
It means that 1casino chips is about 1cent mtgox if you do the math.

It's the word "current" in the context of only chips and BTC that confuses me.
It's like saying: a US$-cent is currently worth US$0.01 (that's permanent,
not "currently")

Unless, of course, if there's a possibility that chips might indeed rise to
a value of (e.g.) 0.002 BTC at some time in future...  then usage of
"currently" would be correct.
