Any status update now on Custom Blockchains and the progress on the permanent PoT solution (assuming that the temporary solution doesn't become the permanent solution)?

I think they are tweaking the code to work. Note: Think.

I think developers and the team are working too much behind the curtains I know they are working hard to make stuff happend.

But really, where are the updates? I recall passion_ltc was going to do daily updates.
I feel we've gone down this road before where the community effort "Will get better." and it does, for a day, then it's gone.

Passion comes back one day gives an update that we know of, namely that XCR team is working their asses off and making good stuff, but we need to hear it, others need to hear it, etc. Then market confidence goes up, everything goes up, and we can discuss topics brought here.

The lack of answering questions, community effort are really putting the innovations made to shame because of the sheer frustration community feels.
PR/Community manager isn't doing what he's supposed to.
They should not be offended by my comment and take it personal, they should take it to heart and start doing their job.

I don't want to hear "I understand that you guys are frustrated" or "things will get better with keeping community in loop"
I want you to actually do it. I want you to do your job. And if you can't do it part ways with Crypti and let someone else do it.
I got passion for this project, because what it aims to do, but currently where Crypti falls shorts is with community.

If you can't give a 15 minute brief a day to people who follow your project then I don't know why anyone wants to make an effort here.

Hey,

yes sure. I was going to give daily updates. Here I am. I'm deeply sorry, but I was terribly ill the last days. I will try to update you in the future, if something like this occurs and I can't post these updates. The last days Litoshi and GreXX posted several times. Not explicit updates, but at least they said something. So I felt quite relaxed and tried to get healthy ASAP.

There are quite a few points on the workspace, which will be resolved soon. GreXX will give you all an update like Litoshi already mentioned. I will try to enhance the news situation somehow.

Whoa now I feel bad for my comments, didn't know that. Glad you're feeling better tho.   Smiley

I also like Grexx, but things is he's a community manager/pr and he's away most of time of the day where he can't bring electronic devices.
That's very inefficient in terms of handling the community as all things seems to go through him.
I'd like you to work around it instead of into it, since activity is low when he's not around.
Per say, a suggestion would be he'll give you or Litoshi daily points in what to speak on/update, and let you speak freely in these points.
Then he can post his full update whenever ready.
You don't have to take my suggestion to heart I thought of it just now, but seeing as we're on this subject again, I can only imagine the core 'problem' of it isn't solved, and can't be since there is no reason for him to quit his job, since you can work around it to make things better.

Also, there are questions I see unanswered here and there, I posted a few too, that I want elaboration on.
Thing is, I feel you guys could do a lot better in this section, and answer questions of out best ability, and if you're wrong you can get corrected at later times by others in team, not much worse than that

You don't need to feel bad. It was just a about half a week and now everything is (almost) good again. Smiley

I will talk to GreXX and see if we can maybe give general updates about what we as members of the Crypti Foundation Board of Directors achieved/did for you.

Because the product as we call it, is amazing and innovative, but if Bill Gates kept his computer left in the garage he wouldn't be the richest man alive today.

If you can't give a 15 minute brief a day to people who follow your project then you make it incredibly hard not to whine.

MintPal is currently down for urgent bug fixes, and is additionally moving to new management (away from Moopay LTD). A statement will follow shortly.

Didn't Moopay just buy it like a few weeks ago??

Moolah is going down: http://www.coindesk.com/moolah-mintpal-closure-bankruptcy/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+CoinDesk+%28CoinDesk+-+The+Voice+of+Digital+Currency%29

Didn't see that coming. They did asked for suggestions on how to make things right earlier with the alt coin community(after some delays). I suggested new ownership. I guess that's what will happen.. Simply crypto should be coming out in the near-term future. Hopefully that is a better platform

I see we can't transfer our XCR from Cryptsy at the moment:

"Our wallet is currently offline while we perform system maintenance."

~informer

It has been like that for several weeks.  I sent 1200CXCR from there early September to my win wallet........ its still not there.

Big Vern has a way of being slow with updates, and adding new coins dating back to february.

I don't blame him for XCR on Cryptsy not being on top of his list when marketshare looks like this

but I am sure he will get to it, but he's not really the best altcoin operator in terms of speed which is what is needed to stay viable in this niche.  Smiley

I know both Cryptsy and Poloniex has been alerted of the update, but regardless I will push them to it and contact them tomorrow, in iRC mail or where they hang about.

Also I will speak on superNET and my full view, and where things are

Since the post above I've launched a t2.medium, installed crypti, synced and it's forging already. First try, no restarts or anything. Just run and gun. But I can't justify running a t2.medium at today's price.

It's using about 2GB's of the available 4GB RAM.

Every 2.0s: free                                        Tue Oct 14 18:23:35 2014

total          used          free            shared    buffers     cached
Mem:       4046804    1967228    2079576        340     114312     774772
-/+ buffers/cache:    1078144    2968660
Swap:            0          0          0

And about 30% CPU usage on the 2 CPU's

Seems like the current build is a resource hog. My Digital Ocean Droplet of similar size seems to be afflicted with the same issues as the AWS t2.micro. I'm not complaining, just sharing.

This is a linux node. I do understand the difference between sync and download. But that last note about syncing for the winner is new information for me. But yet still, it didn't change for half an hour.

~informer

If it does not change for that long, and the blockchain does not show any updating, you may have to reboot.

I run it on windows7, and I had a recent problem with running out of RAM.  I had the node running on this computer, along with FIreFox and the usual AntiVirus Norton.  WIth 4GB of RAM, I usually have 400MB or so unused.  Well, I was watching a long video on YouTube (3 hours).  I guess it filled up the RAM, because about 6 hours later, I checked my node, and it had stalled.  Resource and network check showed the node was not communicating.   Since the node was sucking 800MB of my RAM, I assume my system either closed it or it crashed when trying to grab more RAM.

OK, need some help guys. Using the official crypti guide:

https://github.com/crypti/crypti-docs/blob/master/install.md

Which you guys know I've installed successfully many times. On my linux AWS t2.micro, i've re-installed and ran it many different way and still get the same outcome. I've tried restarting app.js, i've tried deleting logs.log and restarting. deleting blockchain.db, deleting both blockchain and logs. Every time it results in the same thing. When I go to the web wallet I see this screen over and over. The only thing that changes is the block number its on and when it gets to the last one it starts over.

I once saw the login screen briefly but then it went back to the loading screen. Any ideas?

Can someone please update the blockchain.db.zip here?

http://downloads.crypti.me/blockchains/blockchain.db.zip

~informer

Boris has already been working on trying to get the blockchain sync working better without requiring you download the version from the site. Right now we are seeing this same problem on some of our tester team who had been on testnet for days with no issues, so it isn't just you. We will post an update as soon as we have a fix available but I will pass on a note to see if they can help you in the meantime.

Any updates updates on this issue? I woke up today and opened my wallet to a login screen. Logged in successfully only to find it's still syncing:

~informer

Dont confuse SYNC with DOWNLOAD.

The FIRST time you install the node, it has a blockchain.db file that it SYNCS to the network, then DOWNLOADS the blocks written since the blockchain.db file was updated.

The NEXT TIME and all other times you start the node, it SYNCS the blockchain.db file in your C:/CryptiWallet directory to the network, and then DOWNLOADS the newest blocks to catch up.

I know that it APPEARS that the node is downloading again, and I pointed this out during testing.  I would have added a text to explain this on the node, but the coders feel that since XCR has attracted the smartest users on the net, that they would understand the diff between SYNC and DOWNLOAD.

As for that little grey sync block at the lower right corner, that should show up for every block after the forging winner is chosen.  The temp algo for the forging allows each node to think it has won the forging contest.  Once the blockchain has the real forging winner recorded, your node must update its blockchain.db.  Should only take a few seconds.

diba?

Are the prices now lower than the original IPO? Looks like it.

Someone dumped 22000XCR on Cryptsy to drop the price to 550.  It is still 1004/913 on Bter.

Even there 913 is just hitting the IPO prices.

Yes, but dont confuse PRICE and VALUE.

I left a standing order on Cryptsy, I thought too low, for a couple thousand coin for a couple weeks cause someone keeps doing this every couple of weeks/month. Putting another order up today. Waiting on the next sucka.
