As of today, XCR would benefit from being in SuperNet..... so since we need them more than they need us, we are not in a good negotiating position.

When XCR's features are fully implemented, we will be in a much better negotiating position, and they will need us more than we need them.

If I understand SuperNet correctly they don't have different demands for different coins. The only demand is that they want to buy 10% of the coin supply at the current price (this is why negotiations have to be a secret, to prevent price jump).

So there are no real details to be negotiated that would be different for a coin in it's infancy and an established one.

Two simple questions for all you SuperNet supporters:

1) What can SuperNet do for XCR that XCR cannot do for itself?

2) What is SuperNet EXACTLY??

Another week passes without the source code being checked as promised by the developer.

Trust me people it's never going to happen.

A whole week. OMG!! We are all doomed.
Do you seriously not have anything better to do?

No he doesn't.  He is too young to drive; too ugly to have a girlfriend; The FireWall of China blocks his porn; and he needs source code so he can launch his clone coin IPO.

We started 0.1.6t in testnet: http://testing.crypti.me

It's on review by our QA now.
I hope later today all functional will be tested and we will post new version.
It's working on micro instance (1 vCPU, 600 MB RAM).

I sent my id and another info to coinssource to confirm my person and add crypti to trust rating.

Great! thank you for the update!

I'm sure Crypti devs have their own opinion of Supernet. I trust their opinion about whether Crypti should or should not because they have a vision and invented the damn thing. However, my opinion is I am not a fan of Supernet for Crypti. Plus I don't wish Crypti to go down with the ship on one of James' ideas. Supernet might work out for other coins but I agree that Crypti has the ambition to be our own Supernet.

SuperNet or not should be the decision of the Foundation with the input of the community and the devs.

Thats why the devs have decided that XCR would be owned by the Crypti Foundation.

Once the Foundation is established, there should be a posting before a meeting with the agenda to be discussed, so that the community can add their input.

As for SuperNet...... My strategy in my lifetime of running a business, was to let the competition worry about me, not me worry about them.  Also, to offer a superior product and superior customer service.

As of today, XCR would benefit from being in SuperNet..... so since we need them more than they need us, we are not in a good negotiating position.

Why does everyone want to be added to SuperNet? I posted earlier about this below :

Basically all jl777 wants to do is get features from other coins, which BTCD, doesn't have and use them to BTCD's advantage. I don't see the point in helping out another coin establish it's own network, with the use of our features, when it only benefits them. Why should Crypti really "ask" to be put into a network that doesn't benefit us in any way.

With that being said, I'm wholly for the idea of a Storj & Crypti partnership as GreXX mentioned a few pages back. Why? Becuase Storj will be utilizing our network and providing a service for Crypti users. They could create an App with Crypti's custom blockchain to enable use of MetaDisk and DriveShare on the Crypti network. This is a mutually beneficial partnership. Supernet on the other hand wants all coins to bend over and provide features for the hub of the network which is BTCD.

Crypti with custom blockchains support, can be it's own Supernet, which is why I don't see the point of becoming part of an inferior network.
Agree SuperNET is good for "small" coins, but I think Crypti is too big for this project.

Because you were wrong then, and you are wrong now.

Edit: Because I'm sure you are going to ask why.
I'm not getting into the technical advantages as it's not clear yet. But one thing is sure. SuperNET doesn't take anything away from a coint it can only add to it.

The most imediate benefit would be to be added as one of the first coins is exposure, and with it huge price jump.

I spoke some to jl777 about SuperNet and will forward info about it to devteam

Would be nice if crypti joins SuperNet. It would be a win-win situation.

Indeed, all the positive attention we can get is a +

Would there likely be working windows wallet in a weeks time?

We had some pause due to 0.1.6, now switching back to it in order to finalize the Windows compilation issues.

On another news, we are intensively interviewing developers now, and looking to hire the first full time help as soon as possible.
Our job requirements are pretty specific though, hence its taking some time to find the right people:
http://brainstorage.me/jobs/22455
(in Russian, however you can easily translate it via Google Translate)

If you have any Russian friends who might be the possible candidates - please forward them to this post!

Tweeted this. I feel it's essential to get more developers onboard, I feel you guys will have some busy days for sure  Wink
It is a pity I am not  in Russia. Cry

PLEASE PLEASE make sure the upgrade is well documented for us not so technical linux users. Dont mind reading a document.

Looking forward to v0.1.6

If you use the version directly, you will just need to replace the application files.
In Docker case, it also would be just a matter of pulling the latest version, instructions will be posted.

We will also check if we can add a section to existing installation document.

AWESOME! thank you
