I just looked at the logs for EC2 node and I see a list of messages saying block not valid, followed by some blocks processed, followed by 'can't forge, node not synchronized'. Does this mean there is a problem?
Yes, we are waiting an update.

damn, I sent coins to the address of the wallet I created on this and they are showing as unconfirmed still - will I lose them?
No, you don't.
You can check the balance using the official node:
Code:
https://wallet.crypti.me/api/getbalance?address=your_address

1-2 hours and an update will solve this. That's what Boris told me Wink

After our funds release (24 hours of successful operations), we will start talking about Bounties and other things like translations. We know everyone will be interested to see what is next and see some movement. Please just give us a couple days to ensure everything is solid, celebrate a little, and take a deep breath, and then we will start to unveil our plans.

If you want to be involved, create an account at http://Cryptitalk.com - our official forums, as that is going to be the main location for communicating ideas, brainstorming, and collaborating with the community moving forward.

Is there any other way to set my passphrase in config.json besides sed?   Undecided

If not...  I will wait for the Windows client but I was hoping to sign a few blocks now that people will be transferring XCR to their wallets.

Perhaps you can escape it via sed special characters marking:

I have the same issue on Amazon EC2. Exactly the same blocks.

Thanks but I need instructions designed for an idiot - I've installed mc, but I don't know how to launch/use it.

Type mc, navigate in it to src folder (at root of your AWS node), then navigate on top of the config.json file and press F4.
Edit the text, F10 to exit and Yes to save.

Then F10 to exit mc, and restart the Crypti node (forever restart app.js).

I have installed node on amazon and digital. And both my nodes can't sync.
I see this blocks in the Blockchain sometimes:

Sometimes only one - first (from 2014/05/02 07:00:00).

What could be wrong? I have something set up wrong? The first time I am dealing with these clouds.

OK, one more question - can anyone tell me how to open and edit the config.json file on my AWS server?

I know only one way:
Code:
sudo apt-get install mc
Than launch mc, f4, choose 3 - edit.

Thanks but I need instructions designed for an idiot - I've installed mc, but I don't know how to launch/use it.

Code:
nano config.json
