I would like to know the answer to why he left the feedback too.
The problem is that if the answer is to do some development, people will react very badly to it, even though actually paying people to do development is perfectly reasonable. If he now says, yeah I paid loljosh to do some work on the coin for me while I got on with the mixer tech -- people will scream and shout about it. If he doesn't answer then it remains a big deal too.

I'm not trying to reason with them. It's the most logical decision. It's what I'd do in his place. Why the fuck would I spend 6 months researching something when I can get someone else to do it for me?
