*please note this is not meant to be fud, just a warning for people who might be arbing*

Poloniex reported they might be on a fork. Please be aware that transferring with a possible fork is risky

They froze XC so they are fixing whatever their issue might be

Aye, but if you have your polo addy saved and didnt know...    Like i said it's a fair warning. Losing coins in a fork sucks a lot.

Created my own Xnode with the executable mainnet with the X11Coin.conf file with rpc=bitcoinrpc and random password that was generated, I locked the file with read only rights and are waiting to sync.

Such anticipation Smiley

Do you mind laying out the steps?

After backing up your wallet

1.Delete everything in %Appdata% X11Coin folder except for wallet.dat
2. Download the new wallet
3. Create a fie called X11Coin.conf in the X11Coin %Appdata% folder
4. Add this :

server=1
listen=1
rpcuser=bitcoinrpc
rpcpassword= (Step 5)
rpcport=32347
addnode=east01.xcnode.xc-official.com
addnode=west01.xcnode.xc-official.com
addnode=west02.xcnode.xc-official.com

Dont save the file yet

5. Run run-xc-xnode-mainnet and add the password it gives you to rpcpassword=
6. Save and Read Only the file X11Coin.conf
7. Wait to sync

MOON!

Edited with new nodes!

Beta release for the XNODE software is available at

http://xc-official.com/release/xnode-beta/

All Users must update the wallet to the latest code

Umm, so which is it?

I guess they are the same Qt build has the same date and hour in both archives

Currently they are the same build, the beta-release will be updated w/ beta code before the release build moving forward

Can I brag that I own a truly decentralized coin?

Or I should wait for REV2 so I don't look silly?

Congratulations to the team ! Cool
Yes indeed !!!

3.33% per year... I would imagine the reward for xnode would be per transaction - not per year.  and if ur a good node doing lots of transactions u prob going to do more then your stakes 3.33% worth in transaction fee rewards

I imagine its way more, maybe even 20%. Otherwise why are Dark holders all begging to run a node and the ones that cant afford it are crying.

If my nodes got 10,000 transactions per day with a fee of 0.0001 per transaction thats one bitcoin per day. Though I am basing that on around 20-30k XC so probably be way less for a 1k XC node.

If running an Xnode is profitable it would also push up the price of XC as well as create good publicity for the coin since people around the world will be earning `Xnode` income and telling people about it, there has never been a stranger way to earn rewards in the world than running an Xnode. It will create a rush to buy XC and beat out Bitcoin Grin

One obvious advantage, I think, is most of us are not networking experts - and I assume with Xnodes later we won't have the same requirements as DRK master nodes? If it is more accessible to run by non techs, then more people would run them. That takes a lot of coins out of the supply, fast, increasing scarcity. (Maybe Xnode is just as complex, not sure, but the impression I am getting is that it will be easier to run?)
