If anyone is having trouble locating their .config file. Worry no more! I have put together a quick walk through on what to do.

1. Go into your file directory and find the X11Coin folder. IE:
C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\X11Coin

2. If you don't have a X11Coin.conf file, you can create one.

3. Open a text document and add the following:
addnode=west01.xcnode.xc-official.com
addnode=east01.xcnode.xc-official.com

4. Save the file as X11Coin.conf

5. Restart your client, make sure your wallet is encrypted and unlocked for staking.

I did that but i'm still stuck with staking what is the maturation time anyway? you have to tell it in OP. My wallet says it's minting from day 1 and never earner minted coin can you fix this bug please. I think its a typo bug but then I don't know if I have mature coins or not.

You can tell if your coins have matured by opening your wallet and in the bottom right  corner, hover your mouse over the mining icon (Beside the lock) and it will say if your coins have matured and if they are minting. Maturation time is between 12-24 hours. People have reported different times in that time frame.

And you will have to enable the option to show hidden folders to find "C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\X11Coin" unless you type in "%appdata%\roaming" in windows explorer.

To improve staking, I've updated several things in the new release

available at http://xc-official.com/release/client-mixer-v10.zip or http://xc-official.com/release/client-mixer-v10.rar   -

Please update your X11Coinf.conf in the %appdata%\roaming to include these 2 nodes.  I will be deploying several more - the latest client (posted above) also includes PoS checkpoints.  Please download the new wallet, update your conf file.

addnode=east01.xcnode.xc-official.com

So people shouldn't run the bat file that is in the zip file, right?  It has the testnet flag.  Or is this wallet release just for testing?

I'm a bit confused.

no need to use the bat file for staking purposes with this release.  Just run the wallet and give it time to sync

That is what I thought, but I think a lot of people are used to running the bat file to make sure they get the right addnode.  If they run this bat file they will be on testnet not the main.

the market is soooo calm

I think XC will be quiet for a bit until we get a big open release. Until then it might just bump around the 190k to 250k mark

Would be fantastic. A lot of money to be made in that spread Wink

Not sure how many agree but it looks like 250 is resistance and hopefully we can make a break through that and might see a spike from there but I am sure it will definitely get sold into.

250 is the key resistance level yes..

hopefully this explains enough.

One more time.

sorry its so long, but I had a hard time concentrating with 3 little ones running around the house.

Thanks, that helps explain it so people can understand what is being shown.

Great progress!

Have a nice evening with the family.

Hey AnonyMint, welcome back. Your questions have been some of the best that we’ve gotten and really have helped the design of DarkSend, I really do appreciate your input.

CoinJoin can't work. Period. I had another debate in the CoinJoin thread a few weeks ago with gmaxwell and I won. Go read it for yourself.

The problem is you can't prevent someone from denial-of-service attacking by refusing to sign the second stage of the operation. They can block all DarkSends this way.

There is not any anonymity offered by DarkSend, because the shorts will simply attack it once the coin becomes valuable and DarkSends won't get processed. The system will jam. And the price will plummet.

Earlier in the development someone attacked DarkSend this way and broke it for a day or so. I ended up coming up with what I call collateral transactions. A collateral transaction is a transaction that is only sent to the master node and if broadcast will transfer money from the node in question to the master node.

The main problem is CoinJoin happens in 3 main stages:

1.) ACCEPTING INPUTS (inputs are the money I’m sending)
2.) ACCEPTING OUTPUTS (outputs are who I’m sending to)
3.) SIGN INPUTS (everyone signs their input separately then sends them)

In stage 2, what if someone fails to send their output?
In stage 3, what if someone fails to sign?

So with blind signing (footnote 1) when a user adds an output, you know it’s one of your users but you don’t know which. So if a user fails to provide outputs, the whole session must restart and no one can be punished.

I've thought about multiple designs for DarkSend, many of which do have the issue you’re talking about:

Design A: Users provide inputs and collateral, then later will provide outputs. The master node must know which user didn’t provide the outputs to be able to charge him. If we use blind signing we can’t charge the bad actor fees.

Design B: Users provide inputs, outputs and collateral at once. In this case the master node knows who is sending money to who, but later it can tell who didn’t sign.

I’ve chosen to use design B (users will add inputs and outputs at the same time) because it’s the only design that can’t be attacked in the way you’re saying.

//Accepting inputs
1. User A provides (Input, txCollateral, Output1, Output2)
2. User B provides (Input, txCollateral, Output1, Output2)
3. User C provides (Input, txCollateral, Output1, Output2)

//Signing
1. User A provides (Input, txCollateral)
2. User B fails to provide to sign
3. User C provides (Input, txCollateral)

//Fees
1. User B is charged

So to be clear, the master must know who is sending money to who. But ONLY the master node will need to know this. Beyond that the blockchain is still anonymous, and master nodes can be decentralized among the users of the network.

Indeed it wasn't?

AlexGR... I said earlier that Anonymint helped Evan with DRK. As you can see... I was simply repeating what Evan said. This is not to start a war, because I hold both coins. I was simply putting things into perspective. Evan is a damn fine coder, and nobody is disputing all the hard work he has done. I simply saying that even Evan needed some help. Who`s to say that Dan wont get help, or will figure things out on his own. Its all speculation, but I like our chances given that he can actually code.

So after watching the video the current implementation is similar to FedoraCoin. You have  the central authority that you have to trust, where the coins get sent and mixed. The problem is that a rogue node can currently steal coins. Every coins gets funneled through it. Even launching the wallet you explicitly state the node's ip address. This is going to take months to decentralize...

It is already decentralized, the addnode is only for testnet connectivity, not for the anonymous feature.  There is no central authority.  The addnode statement can be removed provided enough users are running on testnet

Err..any estimations for the mac wallet? Wink

Ah my bad, so the wallet is treated as a node that mixes coins? Okay, but then I can compile my own rogue wallet and discard any transactions that are meant to be mixed through it and just cherry pick what I want.

No, you will not be able. ACT has already stated this several times, that it is to use it's own protocol that will enforce this as well as being encrypted.
