On dual socket xeon can JCE use cpu numbers over 16? Im trying to get 20 threads running with 40MB L3 over 2 sockets.

I get this error

JCE is any update coming to next few days? I was thinking to standardize all my rigs instead of having big mess of miner versions and drivers. Smiley

Also,
it would be cool if you put one simple info to new versions: if they are compatible with old versions of config and start files. If yes, then we can simply extract into existing folder excluding old config and start and have the miner ready in seconds. Nothing for you to do, just when new version is ready, inform if there are any issue with old files. Smiley

0.32g is less stable for me.  I had 1 GPU that stopped mining on two separate rigs in a day of mining.  0.32e worked for days.  Did anything change for CN-V7 between these version @JCE-Miner.

Also is it possible to have bus_id initialization of gpus?

Hello all!

Xeon : yeah JCE is by far the fastest on old CPU, that's my niche expertise, but i expect +30% compared to other miners, maybe you should try to fine-tune a bit with the manual config, if not already done such.

fan/speed zero: i got some report about this but I cannot work on it as top priority, for now that number is rather cosmetical.

warmup : i need to improve it a bit to make the 8- or 12- gpu rigs work well.

cuda: unlikely, i've so many things to fix just on the AMD version... at least i should make my code compatible with nvidia's OpenCL (and Intel one too).

Next planned versions:
- Minor 0.32h : zBucks and XCash new coins, improved GPU report (will add shares found/accepted/reject and overall hashrate per gpu)
- Major 0.32i : watchdog

and some warmup fixes on the fly. probably no perf changes.

i plan to add per-gpu coin config, to allow different gpu mine different coins, since some are faster on Heavy or on V7. but not a super autoswitch, that goes too far for now.




Thank you for the info. It seems like most miners will adopt the auto switching stuff after the figure out a good way to take the DevFee and not restart the miner every time a more profitable coin is found.

doktor83 is planing to add this in the next version of SRB Minerto support mining on MoneroOcean and other new pools that may go this route because there are so many fluctuations and speculations on the market.

I hope we will have this in JCE Miner in the near future as well. I really like how you develop things and I truly think you can find a way to make it switch algo on the fly based on some bench-marked saved presets.

Tried your miner on a old G7 server with 4 Nehalem Xeon's (no AES) and my hashrate increased from 600 with xmrig to 725 with jce. Grin

I don´t know, it is either 18.6.1 or 18.7.1, i didn´t try newest driver. 2000 worked on vegas 56 but didn´t work on vegas 64 when i tried, they were hashing 0. I will be back home in 10 days (i am onboard the ship) then i need to standardize my miners, drivers and settings. now it is all over the place, my rigs have miners from JCE from 31a all the way to 32g, so can´t really give any reliable information now

I am totally cool with devfee. In fact, when I switched to JCE i thought i am paying 1.5% and later JCE told me it is actually 0.9% for gpu mining :*

JCE, since you are so cool, i have 2 more suggestions:

1. Do not have separate blue and violet colors for GPUs. Just insert the hashrates into violet text and add one extra line with total rig statistics.

PS. I was always thinking that 0.32x versions with fast compile have somewhat lower hashrate in vega cn7, than 0.31 versions. (14280 vs 14400) But now i just randomly entered multihash 2000 instead of 1936 and bam! 14400h/s.  Grin

which amd driver is it? RX Vega 56 amd driver 18.8.1 cannot set multi_hash 2000, max only 1968.

Hi, I have an issue with the latest versions of GPU miner. If you restart the miner it only report s temp and fan speed for one GPU, in my case number 4 of 4 Rx Vegas. The first three are 56s and the fourth a 64. All versions that have the hardware monitoring do this.

Hi JCE,

The other point that maybe you can consider again is the combine display between GPU hash rate, temp, fan, good share and bad share in one line. sorry for asking this again, because with 8 GPU the display is almost full if two of them show up together, I have 1 rig with 10 GPU also, and I 'am sure out there someone with 1 rig got 13 GPU. I also understand your idea, so still appreciate if you still doesn't want to implement this.

Your file name is wrong, it's called "cpu" instead of "gpu".

If you have some errors in HWInfo64 so your overclocking goes too far, maybe the warmup of 0.31f did not trigger the error but that's still a too strong overclocking. Maybe retry from stock frequency then rise back by steps.


I'm not arguing that overclocking is great for these cards, I simply state the fact that on the sapphire rx550 11268-16-20G the latest version is not the best option.
I ran the test on this version of the miner, the launch is possible only with a memory frequency of 1820 MHz, but this is already 488 h / s from the card, which is a total minus 100 h / s from the rig.
But it's still better than competitors because they give out less actual speed on the pool.

All of the above is not a reproach, but for the information of possible owners of similar cards.
I like your miner for stability without rebooting for weeks. Thank you.

0.32g working fine for me.  Matches earlier 0.3x releases.  Haven't tried cn-heavy yet but this on cn-saber



gpu3 and gpu7 are rx570 4gb cards at 1100-1150 core.  (not stable at higher core frequencies or need high core voltage)
gpu 4 is rx 570 8gb
rest are rx580 4gb

EDIT: On heavy its 7450.
