So there is talk on the poloniex trollbox about changing the Monero emission rate to be slower.

Any thoughts about this? The great rpietila seems to be an advocate of emission rate change.

People can discuss, but there is actual plan right now to do this.

do you mean NO actual plan right now?

Facts are more efficient than fud
Monero was worth roughly $2.25 not so long ago. We are now below $1 per coin.
Worst part is it Bitcoin itself has lost a ton of value and not even in a crash; but just a steady decline.

Yes, but that was in response to multiple attacks on Monero which I would say it has weathered fairly well.

In reality it likely has more to do with a general bear market in cryptos. The attacks and threats have some effect, but I would rate them as secondary at this point.

Agreed, I think some weak hands were looking for a reason to sell out, and the Russia ban provided an impetus. It reminds me of the reaction to the incessant China bans from a few months back.

Yes, but that was in response to multiple attacks on Monero which I would say it has weathered fairly well. I haven't sold any, and bought another chunk when the price started to dip while I was on holiday a couple of weeks ago. If it is still this low tomorrow I will buy some more. It's still high enough that I'm comfortable, but it's so cheap on the fundamentals.

I also expect BTC to recover when the next global economic shockwave hits (if not before), but that's another story.

Quoting for info:

Add XMR

and also...

In the chat box, make it so that Private Mentions are in a different coloured font.

We have one project that is preventing XMR from a listing today. I like the coin and its got a strong community so have little doubt it will make it in.

We will bring more features to chat in the coming months its on our roadmap.

Could you elaborate a bit more on this?

As far as the current Project its a surprise so no but you will know more sometime during the inside Bitcoin conference. As far as new chat features Ignore, PM, Mention etc its on our list but chat is always a low priority for us.

ccedk opened the monero markets

Not yet. I tried a deposit, not possible due to no adress and no payment-ID. Did a ticket and just got answer:

...We were expecting XMR running on the platform today, but faced some technical problems, and expecting everything working, all pairs going to be available on Monday...

Looks like it's still not running just yet: https://www.ccedk.com/xmr-usd

Money often costs too much.
If it did, it was by forum mods, not us. This is not a self-moderated thread.

I know. They had been advertising a different forum. Not that much XMR related. This statement is contradicting myself, since I would not mind a dedicated Monero forum. New coin, new social environment.
